Epilogue-

10 years later-

Randhir was sitting in the living room of his palatial mansion reading the business section of the Times of India when he saw his Two daughters come running towards him and placing themselves in his lap and giving them a warm hug . As he hugged them back , he lovingly pecked their cheeks and said ," Ahana , Paridhi kya ho gaya aaj papa pe itna pyaar kyun aa raha hai??"

Paridhi said," Arre papa aap bhul gaye aaj Sunday hai ?? Family day na ? lets go out please?"

Yes papa , humare exams bhi khatam ho gaye hain please take us out!!"Said an equally excited Ahana .

Okay my lovely princesses ! Go Get ready we'll go out !

As randhir went into his room to change his clothes , he looked at the giant portrait of his ladylove which hung at the wall of his room . He looked at it and smiled . He went closer and leant his forehead towards it. He could still feel the warmth of her embrace , her soft hair brushing over his face , he could still feel her love for him...

As he sat in the corner of the park watching his two daughters play with a toothy smile on their faces , he felt happiest.He had achieved so much in life , he had everything fame, money, success ,respect but it still seemed all so empty without her. His company Sanyukta automobiles was a multinational . He had done commendable things for women education . He had opened a school for girls and a orphanage which looked after girls. He had even adopted two girls as his daughters and had sworn to himself that his daughters would be a shadow of his girl, Sanyukta. This was his way of paying a tribute to the feminist Sanyukta. He never had any affairs neither did he get married . all his business firms and schools were named after his late wife , Mrs. Sanyukta Singh Shekhawat.

Sitting at the dinner table at night , he intently heard paridhi and ahana talk about their school, their favourite teachers and what not. Randhir then took them to their bedrooms and tackled them to bed .

But hey, they two little girls would never demand for a bedtime fairytale . Instead they always told their father to tell them something about their mother..And they would sit and listen intently to all of it and just think how exceptionally nice and warm their mother was. They both had promised themselves to become just like her one day...

50 Years Later

Today as randhir lies in the hospital bed , he can hear the doctor briefing his daughters that how their father had very little time left in this world. He had his eyes closed when he sensed them entering in through the door. He could hear their faint sobs. He opened his eyes and whispered to them not to cry and stay strong for their husbands and his grand children. He gently kissed their foreheads and told them that he will finally meet the love of his life after 6 decades. He said that he knew she would be really happy with me for whatever I have done in my life. And if she is really happy then she will give me a kiss with those deep red lips of hers.

It makes me shy to even talk about it. And then he slept an eternal sleep departing on a journey to be with his beloved . They had waited enough, longed enough for each other and now it was their time. To see each other again, feel each other again,love each other again and most importantly be with each other again.

After all, as they say " Just Because Love Has A Gap In It, It Does'nt mean that it can't be fixed. Love That is still in your heart can always be mended ..."

Hey everyone, I am overwhelmed with the amazing response i have recieved for this story of mine. I have been receiving PM's telling me how much they liked the story, how thy love my writing skills and a few complaints as well as to how they feel the story should have had a happy end. So , even though i knew it's very stupid of me to post the epilogue almost 2 months later yet , I have provided a kind of happy ending here...
