A Song of Fire and Ice upd Part17 *SanDhir, Parth, Kaustuki and etc :)

I have recently started watching Sadda haq and an idea popped up in my head. This story will representation of that idea. I made this account for that purpose. Hope you enjoy my story.

**Characters**

This story will have our regular characters on the show with the exact same personalities and a few recurring characters and a couple of new ones, who will be introduced at the beginning of the chapter they will feature in.

Manasvi Ramachandran: A new admission at FITE. She is extremely intelligent and hard working and was recommended by the dean of her old college to be a part of the dream team. Even though she has great references from her previous professors, Manasvi doesn't have any intention to be fed with a silver spoon. She wants to earn her way into the team and in talks with Vardhan sir about the same. She is fun and bubbly and generally very kind to people. Her only drawback is the fact that she speaks her mind. Sometimes it applauds her with bravado but in other cases which is most of the times is the cause for her trouble which she very often lands herself into.

Sanyukta and Kaustuki woke up to a very bright and beautiful morning. The slow streaming of the sun into their room brought a smile onto their faces. For someone who was very particular about her sleep Kaustuki woke up quite early that morning and this was surprising to Sanyu as it was a Sunday. They both looked at each other and were aware of the fact that in the room that was supposed to reside three people, there were just the two of them. Vidushi was suspended on friday for a fraud case against Parth. He was saved from that malicious blunder forced upon him.

What was done was done. They were looking forward to a great day and hopefully a great roomie soon. "tumhe lagta hain ki koi nayi ladki aayegi Sanyu?" Kaustuki asked. "Pata nahi yaar, agar hogi to koi acchi wali honi chahiye, vidushi jaise chudail toh bilkul nahi chahiye" they both laughed at that and proceeded to get ready.

On the other side of the building, a girl was waiting for her admission papers. The peon returned with her papers and room key and a map for the college as it was a sunday and he knew most students would be asleep. She waved a thanks and started on her way to her supposed room. It was quite deserted apart from a few early risers. She didnt want to be lost, so she went to the first person that she found, who happened to e surrounded by a couple of guys.

"Excuse me, kya aap mujhe bata sakthe hain ki yeh room kahan par hain?" YoYo looked at the girl with mild surprise it was really unusual for new students to join on a sunday. "arre new intermission ho kya?" he spoke trying to somewhat impress the girl. "umm...you mean admission?" the girl enquired. "haan haan. Wahi! Naam kya hain tumhari?" he further probed. Glad to be making friends so early, she earnestly replied "Manasvi, Manasvi Ramachandran"

"Ramachandra? Madrasi ho kya? humari toh khub jamegi"

"Comeon yaar YoYo, kyun pareshan kar raha hai ladki ko?" Parth asked from the background. "dekho madamji agaya Raja Harischadra". Ignoring the guy Parth asked the girl that was patiently standing there listening to YoYo's nonsense. "kahan jaana hain aapko?" Finally sensing that she was about to get some real help she quickly showed her key to the guy. "oh ok this way!" Manasvi followed the guy with her stuff. "By the way, im Parth aur aap?" "Hi, im Manasvi," she stopped in her tracks to shake his hand. "aur ek aur baat kahoon, aapko aapke roomies bahut acche lagenge" he said. "oh really? thats great! mujhse seriously thoda darr lag raha tha. ki acche roomies nahi milege toh main kya karrongi. Aur ragging hua toh? isliye thank god! aur by the way, voh ladka jisse aap abhi baat karke aa rahe hain, kya woh mera interview le raha tha? ya ragging kar raha tha? kabhi uss postion main nahin thi na toh pata nahin chala. But thanks anyways, mujhe to laga ki main puri morning uski questions ki answer deti rahoongi" she smiled and stopped her rant. Parth was kind of taken back, he didnt expect her to talk so much, she seemed like a quiet girl. "haha, nahin voh YoYo tha, voh har kissi ko aise hi tang karta rehta hain. Dont worry." "accha toh phir theek hai"

By that they reached the room, Parth showed her and made his way back. "So this is it, Your room, best of luck and see you around." Thank you Parth and see you around too. Bye. With that and with a very apprehensive heart she knocked on the door. Sanyukta opened the door to this very bright smiling girl. "hi, im manasvi, nayi hoon, aur mujhe yeh room assign kiya hai" "Oh hi, im Sanyukta! welcome to FITE" just then kaustuki came out of the bathroom. "kaustuki, yeh hai manasvi hamari nayi roomie aur college ki fresh admission" "hey im kaustuki, nice to meet you"

The girls showed her her bed and proceeded to sit down and have a chat. So tum kaha se aayi ho? kaustuki asked. Actually main Bangalore main padthi thi, aur abhi FITE mein transfer hui hoon, "well tumhe bahut maza aayega yaha par. Its really good. Kaustuki said. I hope so, bahut kuch suna hain maine iss college ke baare mein. "Dont worry, its going to be great" sanyu said.

With that the girls moved on to other topics about classes, lecturers, and movies and sensing their shared love for Ranbir Kapoor and mechanical engineering. The girls knew that this was going to be a lasting friendship. Manasvi told Sanyu and Kaustuki about her references for the dream team, on learning that they were on the team. She was doubly excited. They felt very surprised and proud when she told them not to tell any one about her recommendation as she wants to earn her way into the team and doesnt want anyone to feel that she is a liability.

The girls decided to take her to Vardhan sir right away and get her to be a member of the team and also show her around the college so she can be prepared for monday and the classes and stress that were going to be dumped on to them.

2 months later:

Manasvi now had settled into her life at FITE. Surprisingly, mingled with everyone extremely well, she was welcomed like an old friend after a very long time by everyone. Even Randhir could tolerate her to an extent, though he would never express it even at gun point he was secretly thankful of Manasvi. It was because of her that Randhir did not have to see Sanyukta and Parth together that often.

Coming to Sanyukta, that girl still annoyed him to death. She neither got less stubborn or less beautiful over the past year. The only this that seemed to decrease was his immense hatred for her. He saw a new shade of her personality every day, it was heart-warming to see someone so kind and pure hearted. She did have her share of lies and trouble but never did she once deny anyone of their justice. Her personality became more profound to him ever since Parth became the captain of the dream team. He always assigned them as pairs to work together on the projects, though they bickered a lot, their work issued to them was always done to the best possible level that it could've been done to.

Randhir snapped out of his little trance inside his head once the main subject of his trance made an appearance into Vardhan sir's class. She was once again surrounded by Kaustuki and Manasvi. They quickly greeted everyone and waved an even quicker bye and sat down at their assigned seats. Vardhan sir had told them that they would be doing something different that day and everyone was visibly excited. They were sick of looking over old files and reports and making summaries of them, they were dying to start something new. Vardhan sir came into the class, he was pleased to see that the discipline of his students was increasing day by day and not a single person came late recently.

He quickly greeted the class and proceeded to inform them about their upcoming task which was their second chance at impressing the sponsors. He warned them to be cautious as he doesn't want any funny business around this time. He wanted the dream team to show their skill in engineering rather that their skill in Warcraft against each other. He calls Parth forward to hand him a file regarding the details to be discussed with the team. Parth could tell by the size and length of the file that this was not going to be an easy task. He looked around the classroom to see Randhir and Sanyukta arguing about something else, Jiggy was reprimanding Kaustuki about something, Sahil and Yoyo were busy over each other's phone and Manasvi was just staring at him with a questioning glance. He quickly shook his head and turned to Vardhan sir and told him that they would complete the task to the best of their abilities and not goof up like last time. With that Vardhan sir left class and Parth asked everyone to assemble in the lab.

Ok guys we have to split this work up to save time and then collaborate our studies together and come to the same page for the presentation. Everyone nodded their heads, Randhir opened his mouth to say something and Sanyu elbowed him in his ribs asking him to shut up. He assigned "Engine design and technicalities" to Randhir and Sanyukta. "Economically viable components" to Jiggy and Kaustuki. "Review of resources report" to YoYo and Sahil. He took "Analysis of the history of engines and faults" for himself and Manasvi. Everyone set to the huge mountain load of work. As they not only had to answer their reports based on their designs but also on every single winning design in the past 12 years which meant 12 times the work.

All the team members since that day had worked day and night. They had a special classroom allocated to them and you could find them there early morning until late night. They were nearly finished with their individual reports and were going to collaborate together when the dean called them to his office and asked them to meet a new sponser on the selection committee, Mr Mittal. He didn't look very friendly and didn't seem like the type of person that was here to make friends either.

He asked them to take their seats and informed them that he was here to give them some last minute details about the project. He said due to holidays coming up soon they preponed the date to Friday this week rather than Friday next week. Also, that there were 7 members on the team and each of them needed a summary report of the assignment that they did. Randhir felt himself relax. A summary report was maximum 10 pages, since they all finished their work anyway it would take them about an hour to discuss, print and make 10 copies of the report. The whole was feeling confident as Parth was already preparing for the presentation and after this meeting everything would be discussed and finalised and they even decided to write their transcript that day itself, so that they can finally take a break tomorrow.

They didn't even finish the thought of planning to take a break the next day, when the realised that Mr Mittal was still talking. He had just said that the summary reports were to be hand written by a team member with good handwriting. When Parth questioned about its purpose, Mr Mittal told them that this was to stop cheating and that some people just print papers of the internet instead of writing it themselves. Mr Mittal was enjoying the looks of discomfort on their faces, he thought "Thoda aur maza mein kya galti hain, in FITE students ko thoda aur satate hain, Aur students ek aur baat yeh zaroori nahin hai ki captain ko hi presentation dena padhe. Aapke presentation ke din committee aapki team se ek member to choose kareegi jisse hum sab ke saamne aakar present karna padege, Agar uss member ne hamare questions ko correctly answer nahin kiya yah presentation karne se mana kiya toh hum apna sponsorship ko wapas le sakthe hain. Good Luck" he smiled evilly and left.

The students were in shock,it was Monday today and they had four days to finish all of that. Who is going to write all of those reports? No ones handwriting is that good. Jiggy questioned. No, no Sanyu's writing is very nice. She can write it. Kaustuki said. Randhir couldn't handle this crap and went to talk to the dean. Sanyukta just came back as she was feeling thirsty before the meeting and went to the canteen to drink water. She came back asking them what happened in the meeting. Just as Kaustuki was updating her about Mr Mittal. She noticed the bandage on her hand. Her RIGHT HAND!!!
