I always felt Khushi invested a lot more in the relationship than Arnav did. He sure did love Khushi but somehow, it was always Khushi who gave up on her beliefs to be with him. I am not in favor of giving up on who you are just to please somebody but whatever efforts had been to keep the relationship going, it were from Khushi's side. That being said, I think Arnav did a right thing to let go of Khushi instead of ruining her life later. Book 1 has made for a compelling read.
Can't wait to see how the story takes these characters forward. :)

First of all a very big thank you for writing this story.
I've oscillated from feeling sympathetic towards Arnav to wanting to shake some sense into him.
Our upbringing and societal pressures force us to think and behave in a certain way. Why should that be the only way. It's essential we understand the other person as opposed to just wanting to mould them into what we think is 'correct'.
Poor shattered Khushi. But as you said maybe her fault lay in wanting to please others. As the saying goes - you can't please all of the people all of the time. Something has to give. Looking forward to seeing what happens a decade hence.

I cried throughout the last couple of chapters, both of them made mistakes, however I feel Arnav has made some I don't know if its because I biased towards everything Khushi has had to go through with her family and the miscarriage as a girl, but the pain is gut wrenching! you are a wonderful writer, and have dealt with such serious issues, I absolutely loved this book! thank you for sharing it with us! :)

Hi all,
Many thanks for the comments on CD. Apologies I could not read the last few of them until today. I feel truly overwhelmed. Those who are reading Chasing Love, see you around.
Before I sign off, I want to post this small poem that a reader Aashi wrote for Chasing Dreams. Its poignantly beautiful and touching.

Thanks Aashi.

Toota hai iss kadar ki ab jud na paega,
lekin fir bhi ye kahe bin reh na paega,
Jo tha.. Ab nahi,
Jo hua.. Sab Sahi,
Jahan Main vahan tu nahi..
Tere liye ab iss zindagi mein jagah nahi.
Ek khawab jo sajaya tha,
Ek sapna jo ankhon mein bithaya tha..
Bhagti rahi uss khawab ke peeche iss tarah.
Ki ab khud to loota kar bhi khali haath khadi hun yahan.

hi, just found the remaining chapters and read it all in one go, amazing. A totally new concept. Poor Khushi and her parents, what a sad life engulfing her just due to her poor judgement or say belief on love 😭

Chasing dreams has been a roller coaster ride, not just for the protagonists but also for the readers. And having read the last 12 chapters together, the sentiment was experienced more so by me.
It began as a dreamy story, the small town girl coming to the capital to realize her dreams. The subsequent entry of love in the form of Arnav in her life and the initial misunderstandings, the role of NK...all made up for little steps towards the two of them inching closer towards each other.

I remember being annoyed with Khushi for not staying out in the relationship and constantly opting out of it at the hint of slightest problem. In that, I championed for Arnav, seeing him to be the sane one. Little did I know that things were going to reverse by the end of the story.

The prologue had prepared me for the inevitable, even them it felt bad to hear Arnav's overall views on children. And by then it was becoming more and more evident that despite her earlier misgivings, Khushi was the one investing in the relationship whereas Arnav still behaved as though there were no strings attached.

Towards the end, his way of messing things and then seeking the easy way out by apologizing irked me to no ends. but then, even the believer of happy endings, I hoped that his decision to marry Khushi would serve well for the both of them.

But alas that was not to be. Anjali's crumbling relationship and Shyam's indiscretion might have served to be a propellant but I believe it only gave Arnav a reason to not go ahead with the marriage. I wouldn't go as far as saying that he strung Khushi along, but what he did is something that should not be forgiven. Khushi sought a clean break at the end, and I'm happy she did that.

In retrospect, Chasing dreams was thought provoking in many ways. It showcased a glimpse on how relationships really are, and that not always they call for an ending that is smooth...real life has different things to offer.😊
