Chapter Twelve (last chapter): Excerpt

Arnav looked at the thin white fabric questioningly, stretching the offending piece of cloth in front of him. He reached around his waist, attempting to tie the veshti properly.

He threw the piece of cloth to the corner in frustration, sighing angrily and glaring into the mirror.

"Don't wear bright red boxers underneath that."

He turned around to see Khushi's father standing behind him, leaning against the doorway speculatively. His face was impassive, revealing nothing about his true feelings.

Also- a note: This does seem rushed, and I realized that after I posted. However, I will say that the length and the ending have been planned since the beginning. I planned this story down to the word, and I'll admit that that was one of the issues I had while writing- so while it may seem rushed, it was actually planned! 😆

This was such a well-written, paisa wasool story. 👏

I love Jab We Met and I love IPK. It was great to read something which so effortlessly blended both. I liked it how you added your own layers to characters when you were staying true to the story and I loved how you added your own layers to the plot when you delineated, like ArHi sharing a kiss before reaching Shimla, Khushi realizing soon enough that she loves Arnav and her insecurities, Avi's decision to come back to Khushi...

I liked this particular line a lot that Khushi wears all the colors because she doesnt know which to choose. Nice thought 👍🏼

Btw, a lot many Amrerica returned people in this story, Arnav studied in Harvard, the son of the woman who lets ArHi stay with her overnight has a son in the US, Avi too had an American accent, NK was from America too, even Bujaji has a son there... Hmm...

Are you yourself a Tamilian? Coz you did a great job of recreating all things Tamilian for people like us 😉

Btw, the link to the excerpt of chapter 7 on IF opens to chapter 3... And link to the excerpt of chapter 9 doesnt work... Please fix them... Meko taqlef huyi thi 😳
