As always , I really loved the written update and with the fact that how the story is progressing. So Dev refused to marry that Kyra madam jee..well that's a good sign..but what I really loved is with the fact that how Dev helped Suhaani's sister by knowing her condition ..and such caring nature really made me love his character even more. Please continue soon dear..eager to read it more !!

An update after long 😆😆😆 guess Long became too looong 😆😆😆 didn't realised so much time has passed 😛😆 Had myself have to read previous part to know where i stopped 😆😆 poor Dev had left him worried in Hospital 😆😆😆😆

Part VII

Suhaani sitting on the couch with her sketchbook in hand...gazed at the other corner of the room where Dev was helping Priya for her exam tomorrow, poor girl had tough time managing her studies & taking care of her...Inspite being her final exams Priya was ready to skip them to take care of her...but it was Dev who convinced her that he will look after her Di & she gives her exams...& promised her he will stay back with them till her exams get over...

Suhaani cant help but be impressed with him the way he had handled everything... Unknowingly, Suhaani smiled when she looked at Dev, from past whole week he had been with both of them ...completely neglecting his office work ...he has been here all time long, taking complete care of her, giving Priya ample time for her studies while he takes care of her...also making sure she doesn't stresses out herself, takes her medicines on time...Inspite of Suhaani refused him many times, Not only just looked after her, but even handled hospital finances, she made mental promise to herself she wud return the amount...

Many times Suhaani tried convincing him she is fine, she will manage...but he had been admanant... He had been a perfect gentleman all throughout, even in hospital sometimes at night when she used to wake up she cud see Dev dozing off uncomfortably on chair...but never complained about anything...He has done so much for her, knowing everytime she has tried to distance herself from him...

She still remembers how he had asked her to just trust on him & he will take care of the rest...& he has indeed taken good care of her, else who would just go all way out to look after unknown person, afterall how much they know each other...no matter Dev has told her that he loves her, but still after her denial he has done a lot for her...

She smiled remembering how shocked & surprised she was seeing him beside her when she woke up after her accident...

Dev was relieved to see Suhaani gaining consciousness next morning of her operation... Priya also just joined them, was too happy to see her sister fine as doctor told she will recover soon... She just needs to take proper rest for few days, she will be fine & nothing to worry...

A while later, as Priya was feeding her soup...Priya narrated how Dev helped them, & he had been here whole night... & how worried he had been...Suhaani looked at the door where Dev was chatting with the doctor...finishing which he turned back at same moment & caught Suhaani staring at him he cudn't help but stare back at her...she looked away as she cud feel her cheeks burn...

Priya noticing the staring session smiled to herself... Putting the spoon down she stood up...Bringing Dev out of his thoughts & surprised him by asking to feed rest of the soup to Di, as she needs to bring the medicines which Di needs to have after she have her soup...

Dev rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed and watched Priya leave the room winking at him slightly...Dev looked back at Suhaani who tried feeding herself but her arm ached...he went and sat beside her picked the spoon up and held it to her mouth...stared at each other again...didn't say a word encouraged her to eat up... Suhaani tried not to look at him while eating but slyly looked up now and again...

Suhaani gradually recovered from her operation and got better by the day, ...though she suffered from serious headaches at times...she didn't say anything she didn't want to worry Priya anymore..or Dev for that matter, who'd start panicking at the drop of a hat when she was in pain and blast off at the doctor for not doing much... one of the reasons she requested doctor to discharge her as soon as possible... Dev had visited everyday single day and spent as much time in hospital as possible... He would always be by her bedside if she ever needed anything...though she was getting used to his presence around...still somewhere she was apprehensive about accepting the gradual bond developing b/w them ...

On the day she was being discharged...she tried to stop Dev from worrying too much, tried convincing him she is fine & she will manage... As she tried getting up, stumbled a little but found strong arms holding her up from behind...

Dev (just shook his head)"who toh dikh hi raha hai!! ...you are superfine... doc ne tumhe discharge tumhari zidd ki wajah se kiya hai...isliye nahi ki tum puri tarah theek ho...(made her sit back again) aur agar tumhe lagta hai, hospital se jaane se mujhse peecha choot jayega...in that case you are absolutely wrong...

Suhaani"par , already aapne bahut kuch kiya...meri wajah se itne pareshan hai...You have done so much for us...& I'm very grateful... lekin maine (looks away) I've already told you...

Dev (interrupted)"even I've told you... Mere dil mein kya hai yeh toh chhuppa nahi hai tumse...lekin tumhaare dil mein joh hai mujhe sab pata hai...(Suhaani gave a surprised look) What?? I know tum chahti ho main yaha se chala jaun as I know you hate me!!

Suhaani (instantly)"Nahi aisa nahi hai...I mean...

Dev(smiled) -good!! Good to know its not hate...& I know you don't want me to go... (moved closer almost whispering) tabhi toh jab tum behosh thi mujhe bilkul jane nahi diya...infact mera haath itna tightly pakda tha...ki main hil bhi nahi sakta tha...

Suhaani wanted to hide her face...she knew he wasn't lying she had woken up to realize she was indeed holding his hand...she just hopes she didn't really blurt something out while she in that state...

Dev -aur us din ka intezaar rahega...when you will stop me from leaving in same way...(teased) ofcourse is baar pure hosh mein ... & mind you!! mujhe wait karne mein koi problem nahi hai... (smiled) as of now, you just get well soon...aur jab tak tum theek nahi hojati mujhse peecha nahi chootega... woh toh theek hone ke baad bhi nahi chootega but still no matter how much you say...I know tum abhi theek nahi ho...

Since the day, this guy hasn't let him even let her lift a finger...taken full care of her...& he has stayed true to his words there has been no escape from him, kept a hawk eye on her to make sure she doesn't works...He took complete charge of everything to a extent where Suhaani used to sulk thinking she was not staying in her own house ...the most he allowed her was just sit there & sketch ...which she was doing right now... & cudn't help but just gaze back at Dev-Priya engrossed in studies with Dev helping her... this guy really was too good to be true... she didn't want to admit it but that's exactly what she was thinking...

With each passing day she began to like him more and more everything he did or say just touched her heart...The way he talked with her, way he took care of her, even looked after Priya , Also with herself, everytime the gentle calm tone in which he spoke to her... made her insides melt and her legs go weak at the knees... He was really beginning to have an effect on her ...her thoughts broke when she heard voice right behind her...

Dev"Mere bare mein itna sochogi toh definitely pyaar hojayega... (Suhaani almost jerked back holding her sketchbook to her chest) Scared u did I? Sorry...(smiled)

Suhaani (composed)"nahi who...main...just...(looked back at dining table) errmmm Priya...

Dev(settling beside)"She is off to bed...told her to get an early night...then wake up early for some revision would be easier for her...she was really struggling with some things back there...(changing topic) So,...what u upto...still sketching...Can I see what ur drawing?

Suhaani (instantly)"No!!

Dev was confused off late she never refused to show what she sketched, as sketching is only thing that she can do without stressing out herself...& it keeps her busy...

Dev (surprised at her reaction)"kyun??

Suhaani"ermm who...abhi complete nahi hai... toh...

Dev (tried to grab sketchbook)-- Toh kya hua...let me see at least

Suhaani"Nahin...jab pura hojayega...will show you...

Dev (shrugging his shoulders): Ok ...nahi dikhana Fine!! Toh I shud get going... (Dev got up from his seat as if to leave, Suhaani closed her eyes with relief as she saw him turn to leave...but Dev turned back & grabbed the sketchbook.)

Suhaani (trying to reach for it from behind his back) --Dev...plz...wapis do...

Dev smiled & held it up away from her...she tried her best in reaching for it but couldn't...as she leaned forward onto him grabbing his shirt...making Dev fall back on the sofa... she herself too fell beside of him on the sofa continued to reach out for it the best she cud with her right arm...making sure she doesn't hurt her left arm...

Dev (looking into her eyes...then grabbed her arm away from him)"dhyaan se, you will hurt your hand...& I'm sure itna bura kuch nahi banaya hoga that I cant see...let me see & judge how bad it is...

As he opened the sketchbook...Suhaani's face went red like anything She wanted to go and hide...she wasn't going to draw that...but somehow she just did...She just move back about to get up & leave...

Dev (analyzing the sketch)"I don't think my nose look that bad...nahi...

Suhaani (grabbed back the book)"there is nothing wrong with your nose...

Dev (with a serious face)"Oh!! Matlab only nose is good...baki kuch nahi....

Suhaani - Haan...I mean No...

Dev (smiled) -but must say ur very good...I love this...infact its too good...

Suhaani (embarrassed)--: Woh Priya ko bhi draw karna hai...I was just...

Dev (moving closer)--But u draw me first haina? (teased) that makes me feel rather good...waise iska matlab itni der tak tum mujhe dekhe ja rahi thi...(moved more closer) aur mujhe pata hi nahin chala... (Suhaani shifted a little away from him) Waise Priya ko nahi draw karo toh bhi it looks good as it is bas ek cheez ki kami hai... (Suhaani gave a confused look) Ur autograph... (smiled) Sign kar hi do...I will have this drawing framed and put in my office... No one has ever made a drawing of me... (putting her pencil forward) as it is Priya ke last two exams hai...kya pata uske baad tum mujhe aur aane do yaha ya nahi...

Suhaani just stared back at him the thought of him mentioning he might not come more often, the thought of leaving brought about a strange feeling inside her. She really did enjoy his company these last few days he had been just great... With him around gave her a calm feeling all along he had been very helpful, supportive, friendly...Initially she wasn't happy with him staying over, but his sweet and caring nature made her change her mind...She loved the relationship between him and Priya he always behaved like an elder brother with her... As for her, he never once crossed his limits with her, treating her as a friend even though his feelings for her were a lot more than friendship...

Dev (put the painting aside)"kya hua? Kuch kehna hai... (thinking to himself) bol do, that u can't see me going...Keh do, tumhe mera saath acha lagta hai...keh do, that u love me...u want to be with me forever.

Suhaani herself knew she wanted to say so much to him...

Suhaani"who main...(shook her head in no) errmm Nahin...(smiled)

Dev sighed deeply so close to saying something... but again nothing, but he was sure enough something was definitely going on in that mind of hers...off late He could sense something different in her... Suhaani just got up to leave wishing him good night...

Seeing Dev in living room typing away on his laptop...doing some of his office work, didn't wanted to disturb him had just entered kitchen to get coffee for herself...but before even she cud start making one Dev surprised her offering help...

Dev(teasing)"didn't knew meri coffee itni buri lagti hai, khud banana start kar diya...inspite your left hand still pains...

Suhaani (teased back)"zyada buri nahi hoti, but bahut dino se apne haath ki coffee miss kar rahi thi... aapki permission ho toh bana loon...as it is mujhe lagta hi nahi main apne ghar mein reh rahi hoon...

Dev (laughed)--With me taking charge of things constantly, right!! Sorry just looking out for u...rest is important for u...

Suhaani(smiled)"I know, but coffee toh bana sakti hoon...isi bahane you can judge meri coffee kitni buri banti hai...

Dev agreed allowing her to make coffee for both of them ...He sat back down noticing how Suhaani was getting rather comfortable with him around now, not like before... Slowly but surely he was making a firm position in her heart & he knows it, can make out from her behavior around him...

While having coffee out in small garden outside the house... Suhaani surprised as she passed on a cheque to him...

Dev(surprised)"yeh kisliye...apni coffee ki tariff ke liye mujhe rishwat dene ki zarut nahi hai...(Suhaani just smiled) kidding, but seriously yeh kisliye??

Suhaani (smiled)"Main janti hoon aapne jo kuch humare liye kiya...uske liye sirf Thank you kafi nahi hai, & baar baar thanku aapko acha bhi nahi lagega Right? (smiled) aur main yeh bhi janti hoon main aapke paise latau na latau...you wont mind it...par yeh cheque sirf meri tasalli ke liye...aap yeh nahi lenge toh mujhe humesha lagega ki aapne humpar ehsaan kiya...& even you had agreed jab bhi main aapko paise wapis dungi aap mana nahi karenge...I know,abhi sirf aadhi amount hai par...

Dev (interrupted)"I know maine tumhari paise lautane ki shart Sorry zidd maani thi...Lekin tum araam se lauta sakti ho koi jaldi nahin hai...(smiled)

Suhaani"haan par, meri apni satisfaction ke liye yeh zaruri hai...aapne jo madad ki thi who...

Dev (smiled)"Oh!! Toh maine jo help ki tum mera ehsaan utarna chahti ho, Fine, uska bhi solution hai since I helped you, you can help me out too...(suhaani gave a confused look) you can work for me officially...since you are interior designer tum meri art gallery mein help kar sakti ho...afterall tum us building mein itne saalon se rahi ho, I cant have a better help!! (teased showing her the cheque) aur isi bahane baki amount tumhari salary mein se kaat lunga...Guess its fair enough!!

Suhaani just gaped at him, working for him ...he wants to work for his art gallery which had been his dream project !!!

Dev -Be assured!! Mujhe koi jaldi nahi hai, you can join after you recover fully...mujhe injured Interior designer nahi chaiye...(seeing her silent) I hope you are not planning to say No...(teasing) Maine tumhari itni madad ki 😛😛 tumhara itna khayal rakha, badle mein mere liye itna nahi kar sakti...

Suhaani just smiled seeing puppy face he was making & nodded in yes agreeing to his offer... when they heard Priya's voice...who just returned back ...

Priya -maine kaha tha na Di,maan jayegi...I do deserve a treat!! (Suhaani looked to & fro from Priya to Dev)

Suhaani (shocked)"What you two upto?? tum dono ne shart lagayi thi...

Priya(hugging her from behind)"not exactly, just helped Mr.Dev since he wanted you to work for him...maine sirf dialogue bataya to convince you...the way he has been helping me around main unke liye itna toh kar sakti hoon (Priya cracked up laughing)

Suhaani(just shook her head)"no wonder I was guessing Dev ko yeh line kaise pata...

Dev(laughed)"Priya is just kidding, usne mujhe koi dialogue nahi bataya she just assured me if I will ask you directly tum mana nahi karogi...as I've seen your work & genuinely want you to work with me...for the gallery...

Suhaani (just smiled & agreed)"hope I don't let you down...

Priya -par main naraaz hoon aapse Mr.Dev...aap di ka stupid scooter wapis le aaye??

Suhaani (shocked)"what?? (priya moved aside & pointed to suhaani to the left , Suhaani looked curiously and found her scooter there...with a bunch of flowers on the seat) yeh kaise...it was too damaged... I can't believe it I have my scooter back!

Dev (smiled seeing how happy she was)-yeahh but it was repairable... & thought you wud love to have it back... (Teasing) hope you even love to have flowers back after long time (Suhaani just smiled remembering how he used to send flowers daily) ...

Priya"but I hate it Mr.Dev... yeh khataara ko wapas kyun lay aap? Didi isse kabhi nahin chalayengi...it almost killed her...

Suhaani"but scooter makes it easier for me... I need it to get around...& accident didn't happened bcoz of scooter...maine dhyan nahi diya hoga...dats why accident happened...accident can happen again without scooter too...you can never predict death...

Dev & Priya shouted back at her together...

Priya"stop it Di ...

Dev"stop it Suhaani...kuch bhi bole ja rahi ho!!...do you even realize what he have gone through...

Suhaani (bit her tongue)"Sorry...I didn't (priya just glared at her & went back inside) Mera matlab who nahi tha...I meant...

Priya just went inside in anger...Dev too, went after her to just calm her down, inspite of himself being angry on Suhaani...

She hit her head lightly cursing herself for talking about her death like that in front of Priya it just slipped out of her mouth...she knows how she hates it & how emotional she becomes ...

From past 15mins Suhaani was trying to talk to Priya...number of times she had said sorry...but she just ignored her & continued preparing dinner...
Suhaani even looked at Dev for help, though Dev already had explained priya & she too had forgiven Suhaani, but she the mere thought really scared her...

Suhaani(pissed off)--Priya just stop it!!!..Kitni baar maafi maangni padegi...I said I'm sorry!! Ab stamp paper par likh kar doon...Dat I apologise... (Dat cracked priya up 😆😆😆 ...)

Priya (laughing)--not exactly, but promise me... aap dobara aisa kabhi nahi kahengi!! ...(added emotionally) aapke alawa kaun hai mera... !!! (she just hugged Suhaani tightly)

Seeing both sisters getting too emotionally...

Dev (to lighten up)--wow Dats great Priya !! kitni jaldi bhula diya na mujhe, abhi se apno ki list se out kar diya ...tumhare liye sabkuch sirf Di...(priya just smile) waise, agar aap dono behno ka roothna manana hogaya ho toh dinner kar sakte hai...its quite late...

Composing herself just excused & left to complete the dinner... Suhaani was about to leave to help Priya when she felt Dev stopping her holding her hand...

Dev--bura toh mujhe bhi laga tha, I also deserve an apology...tumhe maafi sirf Priya se mili mujhse nahi...(Suhaani was about to say something but Dev continued) waise meri bhi same shart hai... (added in a serious tone) Aaj jo kaha...dobara kabhi kehna bhi mat...jab tak main hoon, tumhe kuch nahi hoga...coz I cant afford something happening to you... sirf mujhe pata us waqt maine khudko kaisa sambhala tha... ek baar ke liye laga mujhe laga jaise maine tumhe kho diya, Main tumhari Haan ka zindagi bhar intezaar kar sakta hoon, par yeh sochna ki tumhare bina bhi zindagi hosakti hai...Its just impossible...

Suhaani just kept staring at him...his heartfelt confession just melted her heart...it really surprised her how in short span of time of knowing each other...Did she really made such an important place in his life dat he fears loosing her...

Somewhere she knows & feels herself too, they do share something which is binding they together... this guy really was too good to be true he was really beginning to have an affect on her now...
Is this unknown pull, unnamed bond b/w them is Love...should she just listen her heart & accept this relation 😊😊😊

it good to read after long time.
