Chapter 8

Arnav headed back home. The house was pleasantly happy and he left for his room, in his room all he could smell was Khushi. She had completely filled his senses in such a manner that her existence for him had become like most essential for him. All he waited for today night when he had decided to confess all he felt for her. He had decided that he will confess everything and will not hesitate today , Khushi needed to know her importance.

After refreshing , he went downstairs for his dinner with the entire family especially his di and he was more than thankful that everyone was concentrated on the evergreen topic of NK's marriage and he was spared unlike breakfast where he was the topic. NK also told everyone that he has got a job in big fashion magazine as a top notch photographer and who are willing to pay him handsomely and he is soon going to get more rich. But then like a small kid he complained "now I will have to work regularly unlike till now when I used to work on random projects only when I felt like" to which arnav added " true. But I wonder NK that which idiot chose to keep you on such high profile position in his magazine, poor guy. Had he checked your talent?". NK was fast to reply " You do not know my talent nanav... I am in huge demand , but how will you know, you should see payal bhabhi and akash's marriage photos than you will realise my worth. By the way I charge in lakhs for personalised marriage photography and you still have not paid me for your brother's wedding photography nanav". Arnav said " by the way congratulations. Good for you , but bad for us that it will fix you permanently here to eat our heads with your horrible hindi . anyways..." At arnav's this comment akash too agreed and said " god save us bhai from ma's syndey wala kangroo" to which all laughed.

After dinner he went to find his di sitting in the garden , all relaxed and smiling. She had held something in her hand ,it seemed like some papers, but he did not panic. He came and sat next to her, when she looked at him and said "I am sorry chote, do not interrupt me because I want to tell you something and once I am done I know you will handle everything. Chote you were right Shyamji was a fraud, he was cheating me, I had this feeling from long but always denied it. I did the same when I went for abortion that day, you know I did not go there because of khushi, I went there because I found a proof that shyam was a cheat, and because of him you and khushi had to endure so much pain. Do not worry, I am over with him because I hate him and I have my child as my strength. I will talk to Khushi too but right now you should know this. And I will get better when I will see you and khushi together as I know you are meant for each other and just like because of you two me and my child was saved from shyam , I want your and khushi's relationship should remain unaffected and I know you both loved each other even before shyam thing happened." Arnav could see that his di knew something and he asked " are you hurt di , what did you find, I failed to save you from this hurt. Forgive me di..." Anjali held his hands into hers and handed him the papers and waited for him to see what the papers were and the only thing that came out of his mouth were " where did you find them di?" Anjali without a delay replied " that cheat shyam had pasted them under the baby cot. He got this will papers made and signed by you so that he could kill you and take over the property and then perhaps kill me too." Immediately arnav snapped "no di... don't you dare talk about death. I know what he did and wanted to do ... But lets not talk about dying cause he could not do anything and secondly if khushi came to know that I was talking about dying or so she is going to get really angry" Anjali was amused and blurted out " I think it was you who had copy right to get angry , I never knew that khushi too scolds you and you the great ASR listen to her scoldings. I am loving this. On a serious note there is more the live wire pool accident, the car accident of mine and the scorpion on payal akash sangeet were all shyam's plans to end me and I have proofs which I have given to police and they shall verify and then we can file charges on him." Arnav was shocked to hear this and his eyes teared and he hugged his di tightly. After a long time he left her and wanted to say something but could not, but his di understood and said "I know you chote , do not worry I am fine and I would not ever leave you like maa. I love you chote." Arnav was happy that his di was stronger than his maa and took this all bravely. They sat there silently holding each other for long when arnav broke the silence " di, khushi is I guess very angry with me. Day before yesterday I scolded her too much for talking to you and in my anger even accused her for spoiling everyone's life and she has accepted all the accusations silently and believes herself to be the culprit. I do not wish to delay it further and I want to seek her forgiveness and tell her that I meant nothing when I said all that bullshit." Anjali heard all this silently and said " then why are you sitting and wasting your time . you are ASR and you go to any lengths for those who you love and are yours. You need to understand just like all of us in our family know you as arnav and for the rest of the world you are ASR, khushi is your wife and she should know arnav. And she has till now seen and handled only ASR, so go and show her my arnav. She is so selfless and her nature is such that your small love and care ,she shall return 1000 times. So its time my idiot chote go and confess, open your heart to her and do give her the ma's letter which you have not given her. And please do not waste any more time and one more thing may be she will not be ready to listen to you, so become the assertive ASR, hold her firmly and then bring back the arnav in you and tell her everything. Ok and for god's sake say everything and do not keep any more feelings inside you. Just let her see and feel your love because she completes you and You are ASR , let the world see that you know how to win over in all spheres of life whether its your wife's love or a deal. Go and bring our khushi back .

This was all the support arnav needed. Today he knew his di was with him and shall always be and soon his love khushi shall also be with him. Anjali was waiting for him to say something and then he said " today I am going to win her back di and do not worry about anything else because when it comes to khushi, mera apna dil meri koi baat nahi manta and today I will tell her everything. Wo apne aap ko bohat smart samajhti hai na then today I will wash her brain with my heart." Anjali was amused to listen to all this and said " I wish I could see you telling I love you to khushi" Anjali wanted to say something but she stopped and pulled arnav's hand towards her belly and laid his palm flat on it and then both of them felt the small kicks and all arnav could utter was "di...the little one..."and Anjali completed it for him " the little one is too eager for its arnav mama to tell his khushi mami that he loves her and bring her back soon. You know chote this little one kicked for the first time day before yesterday when I was telling it that your khushi mami loves you too much . I guess the little one already adores khushi. Please bring her back as soon asap." Arnav was happy and amused and while keeping a palm on di's belly he spoke to the little one " I will bring back your mami, tomorrow morning , I promise , but till then just hope that your khushi mami doesnot trouble your mama too much and you also just like her do not trouble your mom and sleep well as your mami would eat your ears as soon as she comes back and would not let you sleep" as if agreeing the baby kicked several time and both arnav and Anjali were thrilled.

It was 10.30pm and Arnav tucked in di and was leaving for Lakshmi nagar when he said to Anjali " di, please do not tell anyone about my going there because otherwise I would not get privacy with khushi which I need to confess to her. So it's a secret between the three of us that I am meeting my own wife secretly. And one more thing di I think the baby is going to be talkative like khushi and naughty like you. Good night and sleep well" Anjali laughed and nodded .

On reaching Lakshmi nagar , he went to khushi's window which was open and he rang khushi's mobile and waited for her to pick.

Chapter 9

When khushi saw the caller id on her phone "arnavji calling" some kind of warmth spread through her body. She contemplated whether to receive the call or not. After the fourth ring she picked it up thinking he is calling so late must be something important and prayed that Anjali di was ok and without a hi or hello asked " you are awake till so late. Is everything ok? Is di fine?" he was touched by her concern and replied "everything and everyone is fine khushi. By the way why are you awake till so late? By the way you look beautiful in white colour and with open hair" khushi without thinking spontaneously replied "so you have called me so late at night to tell me this" by the time she said it she realised that she was in white night dress and her hair were open. She continued " How do you know that I am in white and my hair are open?" while khushi was busy in the call facing her back to the window arnav had climbed through the window and had almost reached her and he answered her last question in her ear " I keep track of your every movement and breath khushi" khushi was shocked on hearing his voice on her other ear and turned around in haste and was almost going to fall when arnav caught hold of her and steadied her. Khushi asked "what are you doing here and that too at this time of night. And you came in by the window. Di will get hurt if she came to know that you secretly came to meet me, why not you understand anything. Di needs you and you are her only support system and it will be better if you do not make her any more insecure and attend to her only and you do not need to do any kind of formality for me. Its just matter of 7 more days and after that you shall be free of this contract marriage thing. Anyways its better that I too get habitual to living away from you (tear form in her eyes and her voice trembles) from jiji and shantivan. Its just 7 days and then everything would be fine."

Hearing this arnav could not control any more and he knew where khushi wanted to take this too but she did not know that he was ASR just because he loved her chattering and allowed her to fill his ears does not mean he has lost his ability to speak and stop her chatter. He was thinking that once he wins over khushi the only way he will ever use to stop her chatter will be by sealing her lips into a kiss. But today he would have to do with the other method and he just held her firmly from her shoulders and said " 7 days it is. Khushi will you let this marriage get over so easily. Is it that easy for you." khushi snapped and said " I am telling you what the fact is, the purpose and duration of the contract is going to end. It was just a deal and never a marriage. So lets just get over it and not make it more difficult by bringing in emotions and guilt. Lets be practical" arnav got little angry at the answer he received and he held her more firmly and said "Ok lets be practical, lets not tell anymore lies to anyone and lets go outside and tell everything to your family and then we will even get witnesses for our divorce i.e your amma and babujii. You want no emotions so come lets tell everyone that I married you for contract and blackmailed you and you want to end this marriage now." Khushi's eyes teared up and looked at him in shock and arnav almost melted but then he hardened again and said "come, I am waiting " he knew this will shut her up and she would at least stop fighting him and then he will confess his love to her.

And exactly the same happened khushi staggered and held on her study chair for bit of support and thought please devi maiya do not make this more difficult for me I can bear my pain but the pain and suffering he will face with me being in his life would kill me and weakly walked towards him and voiced slowly " why are you doing this and what will you get . It will hurt di , you deserve a better life partner,your family deserves a better daughter in law ,who has class and status and who can fit in your world as Mrs. ASR and you and your family do not need to get embarresed and more importantly you and di deserve happiness and no more losses and I will only bring sadness in your life." She wanted to say more but could not, all her energy was draining and she held him weakly. Arnav knew she had lost all resistance to fight and now he will conquer her her heart and soul in such a way that no lover had ever done before ever. He held her firmly but she was sagging so he pulled her flush against his body so they both were joined toe to neck and wound his hand on her poccessively. At that moment khushi mind rang with a thought that if I die also after today I would never complaint because all I wanted was to be someday be held this way in arms of the man I love and my wish has come true.

Arnav held her like that and gently lowered her to the bed and came on top of her , he pinned her down below him but was gentle and made sure she was not getting hurt but she felt all of him and he was all ready to answer each of her question.

He began " Khushi today I will answer each of your question and trust me when I shall complete ..." he could not find words he started again "I shall make you Mrs arnav singh raizada forever and ever" this line did what so many words could not do they touched her soul and she felt elated.

He continued " khushi when I saw you first time in lucknow I fell in love with you at that moment. I knew you were mine from that moment. The second you fell In my arms I knew your were the part of me which I was I never knew i did not have but always craved and waited for. That second you completed me. your eyes from that second have not left me alone for even a single moment. Main darr gaya tha .i was scared and afraid , I always worked with my brain and kept my heart in control but tumhe dekhne ke baad mera dil mere khud ki baat nahi manta. I was so scared of my heart loosing control that I started hurting you to make you go away and did that media drama. But for once in life I am thankful to shyam that he saved you from goons otherwise I would have killed myself( khushi put a hand on his mouth but he continued) and that brought you to delhi to my office and to my life... I again hurt you to sent you away even that lavanya setup was just to make you go away because the more I saw you the more my heart became uncontrolled and told me that you are a part of me and I need to surrender before you. Diwali night and those half completed kyon farak padhta hai were just the trailers and deciding to marry lavanya was just to make you go away somehow...he paused , (khushi looked at him to continue and he continued)...but the more I hurt you the more uncontrolled I became towards you and the more I fell deeply in love with you and your engagement was the fuel to my already burning heart. The thought of you belonging to somebody was out of question because your were mine alwaya and that's why I broke that my relation with lavanya and the fact that even your engagement was broken was like medicine on my burning wounds. So I have always loved you. So that answers your first question." Khushi was still pinned under him and now his weight felt so natural and infact very soothing.

" and to answer what I want is : I know you have loved me, still love me and will continue to love me and I know you will never marry again ever and shall always remain mine. you saving my life endangering yours and your not wanting to expose me and defending me in front of shyam itself clearly shows you love me more than anything. So please whatever bullshit that you hate me and want to go away will not affect me. You are mrs.ASR and its never going to change, so you basically very well know I want you as my wife my lover my soulmate and as my mothers daughter in law. And I know what your heart desires so we have a whole lifetime if you want to fight out on this with me".Khushi laughed in her mind at the irony of the time.
