Chapter 11
Next morning, Khan Villa
Asad was sitting in the hall with his black bitter "Akdhu" coffee and news paper. He was all set for his office. Zoya came there with the same time all ready. She was gobbling her food spreading the crumbs here and there.
"Zoya eat properly, you are eating like a monkey" Asad chided again without caring Dilshad.
Dilshad glared at him.
He said with lower tone.."Umm! I mean...woh.. if you will not eat properly then you will get choked."
Now this is completely unknown to her. Her mouth turned in the shape"O". She was utterly confused of his behavior now.
"How come he is so sober in a fraction of second?"
She steals a glance at him and followed his gaze. She can see he mouthed a sorry to Dilshad who was scowling at him. She laughed mentally.
"So he is afraid of Ammi. Ah! Now I can breathe freely. Thank you Ammi." She thought. Only if she knew the next very sentence of her will sent her again to the edge.
"Ammi. I am joining my new job today" She said happily to Dilshad. Dilshad chocked her tea. She did not know anything about this.
Asad couldn't control himself at this time "What do you mean by new job?"
"Well I got all my certificates sometimes ago from New York and applied for a job here and got it as simple as that" Zoya answered with pride. She was excited about this her new job.
"Zoya, this is not your New York. You actually know anyone here. Is that any famous company you joined? I mean what is the name of your company? You know any of them there? There are many fraud companies which take advantages of people especially of women" Asad said her patiently. He is not feeling well about this job.
Zoya told him the name and Asad confirmed he never hear this name.
"Allah Miyan!! What's wrong with you Mr. Khan? Are you from office statistics department? That you will know all the company names in the entire city?" Zoya said, irritated, and really had enough of his protectiveness.
"I worked in New York. I know how to handle an office. Besides many people are getting jobs at the same way I got. They had a big office. They will give me handsome remuneration, lots of people work there. Just because you did not hear the company name that does not mean they are fraud" Zoya tried to make him understand.
Zoya let me check about this office then if I have positive information then you can go there. Otherwise, you really don't know about the exploitation that women face here and thus you will land into a problem." Asad reasoned.
" No!! Zoya screamed. "I am not a child, okay? I know what is right or wrong. You don't need to this. Besides they wanted me to join today. They need me urgently" Zoya really couldn't understand what's wrong him.
"Zoya don't argue with me" He was becoming angry now. He did not do anything wrong. Just tried to warn her but whenever she listens to him.
"But Mr. Khan..." Zoya started.
"No word Zoya...End of discussion." Asad ended.
This time Zoya could not manage her sanity.
"What is wrong with if I joined my new work? You have a problem with me or you have problem with my job? I know you don't like me but what's wrong if I do a job?" She asked him with a same tone.
Dilshad tried to intervene this time but Asad stopped her. "Not now Ammi. Please I am really now in the mood of talking."
"Oh! Really Mr. Khan!!! Nazma also wanted a job now. You will also forbid him to do that? or the rule is only for me." Zoya screeched at him.
"Nazma will join in my office as an interior designer. I can take care of her if she faces any problem" Asad reasoned to her.
"Let me tell you for the last time that I can take care of myself. I am doing this job and you can't stop me" Zoya said and stomped out of the house.
"You saw Ammi. She is so stubborn. She did not even try to understand what I was trying to say" Asad told Dilshad angrily.
Dishad shrugged her head she can understand why Asad did not agree with it. It is not that he did not want to work her out. It is because he wanted to sure about the safety of the job. His over protectiveness did not allow it. She can see the concern for Zoya in his eyes. He already was treating her as a family member unintentionally. She was not pointing it out because if she did it then Asad will wrap in his shell again. Zoya did not realize it as well because she was angry on him.
In future this will lead them to each other." She thought.
"I can't tell about it anything. You said not to" Dilshad took her cup and went to her room hiding her smiling face.
Asad was frustrated to the core. He ran his hand through his hairs.
"Fine, she can go wherever she wants. Bas!! Do not come to get help when she is in problem. I will never help her again." Asad spitted. He also barged out from the house.

A week has been past after that incident and both of them do not talk even look at each other.
Zoya avoided Asad intentionally. She did not know why she was so angry on him.
"Chauvinistic, old thought man. He lives in 18th century" She named him.
Asad also busy in his office. He could not pay attention on this matter further. Most of days, he returned late at home, when all were in their bed.
It was Friday night he came home after a tiring day. He had changed and was going to sleep when he hear a soft sob from Zoya's room.
"Why is she crying?" He thought. He knocked at her door but she did not open her door.
Defeated he made his way to his bed mentally made a note to ask her about it next morning. That moment he just forgot they had a fight and did not on talking term in the entire week.

It was Saturday morning and Asad woke up late in that morning. He was surprised that he slept at that late. After getting fresh he came to hall and found a note on it. It was from Dilshad "we are going out for shopping, then for my friend's house. Will return tomorrow" the note reads. Asad sighed he thought he would talk with Zoya, but again she escaped.
At that time his cell phone rang. It was Habib.
"Assalamu-o- Alaikum Habib. What's the news?
"Waalaikum Assalam" Habib greeted. I am afraid the news is not good enough, bad actually. He stated.
"Cut all the crap and shoot the real one' Asad said exasperatedly.
"Aayesha is missing." Habib said bluntly this time.
"What? What are you doing there? You were supposed to follow her all the time, no?" Asad asked.
"We were following her but no clue is found about her relation with your father"
"I know all that, you told me that before." Asad was irritated. He did not acknowledge him as his father but had to listen it from others.
"Her father died last night in the hospital. She had no other relatives here. So we offer her to help to entomb her father. She was always with us. But when we were in the grave yard,she was missing from there. We are trying to find her till now." Habib cleared all to him.
"Find her any how" Asad spitted out and ended the call.
He was again angry with this hide and seeks game. He just wanted to find her and give a lesson that in future if anyone wants to harm "Asad Ahmed Khan" will never think about it. The lion inside him roared. None of them knew his bad side till now. He will get return what she did to him.
His cell phone again blinked. Now it seemed Dilshad.
"Assalamu-o- Alaikum Ammi. He greeted
"Waalaikum Assalam" Dishad greeted back. "You woke up? Please give the cell to Zoya. I need to talk to her but she did not take my call. Is she awake?"
"She is not with you" Asad inquired.
"No, if she will then why I will ask you" Dilshad asked him back.
"Then she is not awake may be, because she is not for her breakfast yet" Asad stated.
"Okay please tell her to call me, I have some important to tell her. Allah Hafiz" Dilshad ended the call.
"Allah Hafiz." Asad was confused.
He waited for next half an hour to come her out but she never came. Being worried he knocked her room door impatiently. But no respond. Not taking the tension anymore he barged into her room but where is she?
She was nowhere, not even in her bathroom. Impulsively he called her. He became frantic when she did not take it. He tried few times but she did not pick up.
"Pick up the damn call, Zoya" He mumbled.
But this time it went in to voice mail. Her cell phone was switched off.
"What on the earth she is up to now? Is she okay? Ya Allah." Asad was exasperated.
He tried to call her again but no use. Then he thought she is doing it purposely to irritate him. He thought she played a prank on him as he vowed not to help her again. Patting his back by mentally for understanding her tricks; he then got busy with his work.
After sometime he got a text from her "please save me I am in danger."
"Okay, Good plan. You thought I never understand this." He chuckled. "Two people can play along then"
He did not answer back of her text.

It was evening he did not even realize when evening came. He looked at his watch and it read 7.30 pm.
He was getting angry on her now. "Enough is enough. Why is she not in home till now? Is there any limit for her irresponsibility?"
He again tried her number but it was again going to voice mail. He tried again but went in vain.
He checked the time she text-ed him. It read 3 pm. He was really getting tensed this time.
His cell buzzed. It was Habib again
"Mr. Khan! Is Mrs. Khan in home?" Habib asked from nowhere.
"No Ammi is in her friend's house. Why?" Asad was perplexed.
"No! I am not asking about your Ammi. I am asking about your wife, Mrs. Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan" Habib cleared to him.
"No, she is also is not home, yet" Asad was getting irritated. He thought she played a prank on him as he vowed to not help her again.
"Strange! But she must be reach there by this time. The bus had been reached Bhoopal half an hour ago" Habib said him again.
"What are you actually talking about? I could not get it. How it is related with Zoya?" Asad said impatiently.
"She was in Indore and left for Bhoopal in a bus." Habib cleared to him.
"What was she doing there?" Asad blurted already made his way to his SUV.
"I also don't know? I saw her e in the bus stand. One of my assistants was leaving for Bhoopal. I went to see him off. She was in the same bus. I did not ask her anything. I thought not to embarrass her as she did not know me. You did not know she was coming here?" Habib asked again.
"No. When you see her last?" Asad asked starting his SUV.
"At 3 pm probably" Habib said.
"Then she must be reached at home an hour ago but she is not here. Her cell is also switched off. Look everywhere. I am on my way." Asad stated.
"Oh my God. Then it was her" Habib gasped.
"What do you want to say?" Asad screamed.
"My assistant saw her but he didn't know her. In the next stop he saw a girl was out of the bus but not returned. The conductor was searching for her. They waited for her but she did not return." Habib said.
"I..I think she has been kidnapped" Habib dropped the bomb.
Asad's cell phone fell from his ear and banged on the car floor.
