Seriously ... one shouldn't look for occasions to celebrate and get together ...

Such gestures give so much pleasure, loved what Anjali did for Arnav, it was a small and sweet gathering with his loved ones, a lovely way to celebrate a special day!

That Payal has a caustic, out of control tongue backed by what I've perceived as an inflated ego has been firmly established by you by showcasing her interactions with people who're close to her. She believes, like most people like her do, that she acts on the best of intentions. Self doubt has no place in her psyche. She feels she has a God given right to tell people (usually whom she deeply cares for..ironic much? ) how to live their lives. She doesn't think twice before bluntly pointing out their faults..believing she has better abilities than most to assess and judge a situation, a person, a conflict and just about everything else. All for the greater good, of course, such people always believe. You have to be cruel to be kind is an adage that perhaps ranks high in their list of favorites.

Payal is one such person. Insensitive, blunt but with the best of intentions in her heart.
She is annoying no doubt and makes me want to smack her sometimes but is she a 'bad' person? I don't think so, because that's just one aspect, one dimension of her personality. There are a lot of people in real life (even mothers) who're totally insensitive with their words but act as your backbone when you're down and hurting..in terms of actions. On the other hand, there are people who might please you with the sweetest tongue but care two hoots about you.

So IMHO, it's impossible to judge a person's whole character or personality on the basis of one dimension alone.

In most cases, it's impossible to judge at all. So I believe in leaving all the judging to the omniscient highest power watching over us all. The only one who had 24/7 access to our thoughts, intentions, emotions, feelings..apart from words and actions. ( I really don't mean to sound preachy here!)


Arnav was justifiably miffed with Payal and taking a leaf from her own book, vented it all out. Good for him. Payal had definitely overstepped the bounds that day by using incredibly insensitive words like 'failure'. She might have thought she was doing him good by shaking him out his 'low phase' but no one should be expected to put up with it. I would have been even happier if he had given her a befitting reply that day itself.

Payal thinks she has not only been blessed with the magical parameters to measure success, but also has the right to hand people their 'report cards'. Unbelievable!

Well, she just got hers from Arnav, let's see what she makes of it.

Loved the update as you can very well imagine :)


PS: Loved the party, the cake, the flirting. Really liked Anjali in this one.

1)Eccentrica made a similar point to which I have replied on Pg.133 on the thread. You may want to take a look.

2)Payal wasn't the first one to support him after Lavanya's death: Everyone supported him. Yes, he found more comfort in her words because he isn't as close to her as other's and hence, to him, her feedback was more neutral and less condescending.

3)He didn't berate her for intending to smash his self-confidence, in fact he never doubted her intentions at all. He questions only the insensitivity of her words, and the way she defines success and failure.

Hope this answers some of your doubts. And what I said above is only to point at a few more facts; they aren't intended to try change your take on this update 😊

brilliant update !!! happy for arnav and loved to see how his sister and nani didn't missed out a chance to give arnav a treat even though arnav is shying away but he is also happy to see all those people who means a lot to him there around him at this time of his happiness.. convo between arnav-payal were the game changer.. loved to hear arnav.. loved the update..
