You really pack a punch in just a few words.

Very nice. Arnav's realisation came too late

Now that's the ASR we know, the one who thinks money and prestige are everything! That moment when he realizes that, despite his riches, he doesn't have the one thing that he yearns for -- Khushi -- is just so bang on, so emotional! Khushi's dignified 'I love him.' makes one want to give her a standing ovation! An emotion-filled drabble.

Written as I wait for a friend so we can get to work on our assignment. Sigh. Hope you guys like!

ArHi Drabble |You Know|

He knows she likes the scent of rain, so whenever he takes her out for drives in the monsoon he always remembers to roll the windows down.

She knows he likes punctuality, so every morning she makes sure his breakfast and his coffee are ready and waiting before he comes down from his shower.

He knows she adores bangles, so sometimes he picks up a pair or more by the roadside on his way back from work, because he knows she would never accept anything more expensive, and also because anything more expensive could never make her as happy.

She knows he likes showering her with gifts, so on those occasions that he does get her something ridiculously pricey, she swallows all her protests and accepts graciously, but then makes him promise he won't do it again.

He knows how much it bothers her when he does, so he refrains for as long as he can before he succumbs and gives in to the urge to pamper her.

She knows he secretly loves sweets, so she goes out of her way to find cookery shows and enlists Nanheji's help to find recipes on the Internet for sugarfree desserts.

He knows how much she openly loves sweets, and is forever visiting Lucknowi sweet shops in search of the confectionary that would bring out his favourite smile on his wife's face.

She knows he loves the colour red on her, so she tries to wear at least something red as often as she can, whether it's a stole, a pair of earrings, or of course, the bangles he had gifted her the night of Jiji's haldi.

He knows she's delighted when he wears traditional clothes, so he ignores his discomfort and suppresses his cringes and tries on everything remotely traditional she has found in his closet from all Di's previous failed attempts, and threatens her as menacingly as he can never to breathe a word of it anyone.

She knows it is something he's uncomfortable with, so she doesn't.

He knows she gets cold very easily, so sometimes he wakes up and checks if her skin is chilled. If it is, he turns up the air-conditioner's temperature and pulls her closer. If it isn't, he pulls her closer anyway.

She knows he can't sleep when it's too warm, so when she becomes aware of him turning up the air-conditioner's temperature she turns it down again when she's sure he is asleep, and then snuggles contentedly into his warmth.

He knows she worships Salman Khan, and as much as it bothers him he still makes sure that it is he, and not anyone else, who takes her to watch the latest releases- that he is the one she excitedly nudges during action sequences, that he is the one she laughs out loud with, that he is the one she'll cling to when an emotional scene plays out.

She knows how much he loathes Bollywood cinema, so when he takes her out to watch them, she thanks him by tuning into the jazz station of the radio for the whole half-hour drive home, trampling down the urge to re-enact a play-by-play of every scene in the movie they just watched, and letting him indulge in the music instead.

He knows he has never been good with words- but he also knows that she knows he loves her.

She knows that he has never been good with feelings- so she lets him know in every way she can that she loves him too.

They are total opposites aren't they? Very nice, loved it.

Part5 - I haven't played any game and haven't even heard of all these. But the opportunity of having Khushi in his arms would surely be great.
A game which can make Arnav go pale is surely one to try. I would have liked to, but no Arnav to hold on to. Can you parcel this Arnav to me. I would like to see if watching the slender man feels good in the arms of Arnav. 😉😳

Part-6 - I would like it continuation very much for I'm intrigued if it was about Khushi leaving Arnav behind or is it someone else? And if it's Khushi who has left Arnav then who's the man with whom she has gone. Can she be by any means ArHi's daughter?

Part 7 - Awww... this was so sweet. They both know what the other is comfortable or uncomfortable with. Yet they do stuff for each other even when sometimes they have to take part in something they don't like for example Arnav taking Khushi out for bollywood movies or accepting something they don't want to like Khushi accepts his expensive gifts. Loved the way you described so easily the things they do for each other.
