~Edit~Oh Arnav! Theres too much pain and cynicism behind the beauty of those caramel eyes... I shudder to think what all they must have seen for him to end up at such a dark place in life at such a young age. His entire world view is skewed, his heart fears to reach out for love, and he is unable to trust anything or anybody - always expecting the worst. My heart goes out to this boy.Anjali, at least at this point appears to be stronger than Arnav - for one, she is accepting the fact she is broken. Thats a start. And secondly, she is ready to give happiness a chance. But Arnav... he has is whole life ahead of him and he has made no space for love and warmth. I am guessing Khushi will be able to pull him out of this abyss of darkness - but thats me speculating. Only time (and Sandhya!) will tell.Khushi, the poor thing is feeling guilty. So much confusion, so many doubts.. but yet, the attraction between them is the most real and potent - a feeling strong enough to override the others, methinks. But how will her fragile heart handle this?Khushi overheard all that! 😲 I'm pretty sure Arnav is not going to be pleased... and for more than one reason. God bless Khushi...this is not going to be easy.PS - LOVED Naniji 😊
"When people are good by nature, when they do not harm people with the intention of inflicting pain, it is said that God stands by them. Well, if one were agnostic, one would say maybe it is God or maybe it is destiny that came to your rescue. If one is an atheist, he/she would say, "You got lucky."Really liked these lines, very insightful.Loved reading the description of the party ambience again, the noise, the music, the air of youthful excitement mixed with the sedate conversation of the more mature individuals..Can understand Khushi's guilt, it's the age when hiding a secret from your best friend is almost like treason..:))Ah..so Arnav is all set to settle in US...YES!! Send him here, and don't you worry, we'll take good care of him..!!😃Jokes apart, I can't help feeling that Khushi is headed towards a major heartbreak, Arnav might have accepted this attraction between them but with his outlook towards life and love colored with cynicism and bitterness, he won't be as accepting of any deeper emotion within himself. As far as the brother- sister argument is concerned, I personally didn't see where Anjali was coming from especially as she herself has chosen a career where she has to stay away from her mother's side of family. Both of them are mentally scarred people who have had to contend with demons from their past all their lives, so I can't help feeling sorry for them.. They so deserve to be happy. And Arnav's Khushi is behind the hedge...how cute..!!What will happen now? Can hardly wait to find out..:)
Res. Be back later. I may be delayed. Please excuse. Oh and I see what you meant :-)
Edited:Ah the awareness that sizzles when you are surrounded by everyone and yet might as well be the only two people in the room. I loved it. I love how Khushi's thoughts are running wild. Of course, he looked at her. She still doubts that after that kiss? Sigh...I am halfway to being a puddle of molten warmth again in memory! I can understand why she feels guilty of hiding it from Anya. It is a first and there is always that niggle of doubt isn't there despite how close you are - what if she doesn't approve, what if she does and things don't work out, oh the what ifs - yes, her guilt makes sense. After all it is the best friend's brother.I loved the photography session, S. Click click. I swear I felt the flash blinding my eyes as it captured all of them in their moments.I love how Shyam, Aman, Akash, Anya - everyone mingled with such ease in that party. This is one welcoming party - the sadu member notwithstanding :) (He isn't actually sadu, is he? Just rusty from having kept away from feeling all this while)Which brings me to the siblings - that was one explosive conversation. And Anjali does have some very valid points but so does Arnav. Anjali might be more accepting of Shyam but she is also holding back - the degree varies. Loved the little happiness is right here word play. Wonder when Arnav will realize or if he will. So he is going. Hmmm...as beautiful as dawn is, it must give way to a brighter, harsher sun. Noon is already peeking in the distance. But maybe we have a few more hours to enjoy the morning dew, S?
