Sorry for being so very late with my comments… seems like, lately, I always start with an apology for my tardiness 😛!

The whole part of Anamika taking the initiative by pulling Ganesh on to the bed, and he 'being a very accommodating gentleman who had never learned to say 'no' to her' 😉 is amusing to say the least! The towering Ganesh allowing a comparatively petite Anamika to play with his body is funny yet endearing as he wants her to be comfortable with his and her body and the intimacies they are about to indulge in… after the horror of her past, it says a lot about her confidence, trust and love for Ganesh that makes Anamika so playful in bed. Having finally come to terms with the depth of her love for him, she has no qualms about confessing the same to him… one can't help but love Ganesh for not pressuring Anamika into a conventional relationship over the years despite a long time back having figured out her love for him… he left the choice of friendship or love to her and she finally had the clarity to see her feelings for him for what they truly were… no wonder her long-overdue confession came as a relief to her, and to him too I would think! Ganesh looked at her, his eyes moist… love him for not trying to be the alpha male and for not shying away from displaying his sensitive side. Waiting for more than twenty years for the object of his love to accept him must be a record! His analogy to prove to her that he had eyes only for her and there was never any danger of his leaving her for another was endearing: "It would have been like giving Khushi laddoo instead of jalebi when her head is filled with images of jalebi day and night."

Nice to know that Arnav starts the day with Khushi's name on his lips… what piety 😆! Describing Khushi as a warm bundle in his arms gives rise to an image of tenderness and coziness. The morning after, Arnav's joy and contentment in having his world in his arms, and Khushi's gradual awakening to the memory of her previous night's activities, have all been beautifully etched. She hitting him with a pillow for his teasing laughter and then complaining about his stubble pricking her are adorable moments as is his remedying that with his intoxicating kisses. Arnav has been doing his duty as a good husband, not only seeing to Khushi's pleasure but also being concerned about her wellbeing after their lovemaking, scared that he might have gone overboard in his demands. Arnav sat on the bed, astonished, free of the blanket, feeling the chill air of the morning on his bare skin… 😉 wow, that gives rise to some amazing images! Khushi's happiness at having outsmarted Arnav and he turning the tables on her by helpfully offering her her toothbrush and clothes, thus cleverly gaining entrance to the bathroom just adds to the playfulness that's part of their love. Khushi's fascinated ogling of her husband's well-toned body clad only in a teeny tiny towel is the cherry on top! Poor Khushi, rather than crying ramamnchi, she should have remembered that her hubby dearest believes in the adage 'Everything is fair in love and war.' A very apt simile: her heartbeats like the thundering hoofbeats of galloping horses. Succinctly put but conveys a lot: His hot eyes devoured her, conveying his intention to love her till she forgot her own name. Arnav and Khushi giving rein to their passion is as it should be! "But nothing suits you better…,"Arnav whispered over the sound of the water as he unknotted her towel… 😳 naughty! One can't doubt that pretty soon Khushi will be taking the lead in their lovemaking, leaving Arnav gob smacked!

The part where a satiated and happily glowing Anamika really looks at her body in almost twenty years, is very poignant… before, her body was an object of loathing for what was done to her, but now it is a medium through which she can show her husband how much she loves him. Their love has literally stood the test of time! Ganesh's every word and gesture is to put Anamika at ease, he is always looking out for her comfort. Bringing her the morning cup of coffee, making coffee for her and her colleagues all these years because he guessed they like it… you can't help but love Ganesh's generosity of spirit. Gaurav and he going out to buy crockery is an adoring picture of domesticity and family. The messages on the cups aptly conveyed their sentiments. "You have always been my prince," she whispered. "Only you." Just awww! Anamika and Ganesh cooking together must be a nice change for both… each had had to fend for herself / himself all these years, now there is someone they can share their simple pleasures with and allow to take care of them. In between, Ganesh dropped kisses on Anamika's cheeks, hair, chin… in fact, any place he could get. Anamika giggled like a girl, feeling happier than she had ever been in her life… a pleasure to note how much at ease with each other they are, as well as the happiness that permeates that little cottage… speaking to Gaurav and the Raizadas just added to it. It would be quite rare to find men like Ganesh in actual life: he always looks out for Gaurav's happiness… not wanting the latter to feel neglected, he moots the idea of not having any kids of their own… it takes a real sensitive man to make such a decision. Anamika reassuring him about Gaurav's immense delight at the prospect of having siblings is a touching moment! …how much he was looking forward to having an army of brothers and sisters… Gaurav seems to be compensating for the loneliness of his childhood… no doubt he would make an amazing elder brother!

An Arnav left blushing and speechless at his family's teasing is an amusing sight… He searching for an answer to Mami's question about jogging, his relief at Anjali rescuing him from Mami's teasing only to have it evaporate when she joins in in pulling his leg reveals a touching picture of family closeness and joy. Nani joining in the teasing is the tops! Wish I could have actually seen the look of sheer horror on Arnav's face at the thought of his family gate crashing his honeymoon and interrupting his intimate moments with Khushi 😆! This changed Arnav, helping out his wife in the kitchen is adorable… of course, it comes as no surprise that he does so with an ulterior motive: wanting Khushi's kisses as reward. The two feeding each other is sweet, but trust Khushi to spoil that romantic moment with her crazy thoughts about Aman's reacton... that man to is clearly omnipresent 🤣! Arnav giving Khushi his mom's letter to her, in his mom's garden, is a very moving conclusion to this amazing story. Arnav reiterating his promise to return Khushi's love a hundredfold and she promising to never leave him in this lifetime brought back sweet moments from the show… a very apt conclusion.

Must be one of the first times in my life when, without thinking about the Monday morning blues, I am looking forward to Monday as we get to read your next piece!
