Part 9

"Are you out of your mind, we're not in India if you try to get past those guards they'll think you're some terrorist." Karan said.
But Virat didn't listen," excuse me but this is a matter of life and death, I need to get inside those gates."
"I'm sorry sir if everyone who wants to forcefully get through these gates are allowed because it's a life and death situation, it surely will become a life and death situation. You seem to be a respectable man so because of that I'm giving you one more chance to leave the premises before I ask security to come and escort you out. "the guard said.
"Come on Virat," Karan said trying his best to drag Virat away from the boarding gate.
"I need to get on that plane." Virat shouted shrugging Karan's hand away.
Suddenly two security guards came and held Virat by his arms, "I'm sorry but you have to leave now," one of the guards said and they forcefully dragged Virat out of the airport.
"I need to get to India, Karan, I need to get on that plane," Virat said standing outside the airport, the guards were still guarding the doors so that he couldn't get inside.
"I'll check if there are any seats left," Karan said, "don't you dare go anywhere."
It felt like hours for Virat until Karan got back, "there's another flight tonight, I've bought us tickets on that, we'll go on that," Karan said.
"But I need to talk to her; I don't even know where she lives in Mumbai." Virat said.
"Let's let Ria help us on that, all we can do is wait till the next flight." Karan said and dialed Ria.
"Hello," Ria said from the other end.
"Hi, I need a favour," Karan said.
"Anything for you," Ria said.
"Virat and I are coming to India tonight, we're going to Mumbai to find Manvi," Karan said.
"It's about time, so what do you want me to do," Ria said.
"Try and find out where she lives, she probably kept in touch with some of her batch mates," Karan said.
"Ok I'll see what I can do, I'll text you if I get anything, how's Virat doing?" Ria asked.
"Getting on I guess, listen I'll call you later, when we get to Mumbai, take care," Karan said and left the phone.

"I'll just be a minute,"Manvi told Rahul, "I just need to use the washroom."
"Don't be too long, boarding has already started,"
"I'm really sorry Virat," Manvi thought to herself as she was alone inside the washroom. It took all her strength to keep her feet moving after she saw Virat shouting her name through the gates. She wanted to go to him, hold him and let him know how much she loved him and will always love him. But she wasn't the same innocent and somewhat immature girl who had fallen in love with him. She had taken happiness for granted. All her life she had being shielded from the cruel ways of life and being oblivious and not known how cruel life really could be. She wanted to protect Virat, she might have come across as a heartless woman but she was trying to protect him from the truth. She knew that if he knew the real reason she was staying away from him he will be broken far worse than he already was, She looked at herself in the mirror, sometimes she didn't recognize herself anymore. The happy care free girl who had being so excited to get a friend request all those years ago from her childhood crush now seemed like a distant memory. The naive feeling that just because two people are in love everything else around them will fall into place. Who would have thought there were things happening that the two of them were totally oblivious to?
"Love is not enough Virat, if fate doesn't destine us to be together." She thought.
She went out and looked at the gates one last time. She could no longer see Virat, she couldn't bear to see him hurt like this but it was better she being the reason for his hurt and brokenness rather than the real reason that they were both hurting, "I guess it's true what they say, the past always comes back to haunt you," she thought.
"Manvi," Rahul called, we need to go, and with all the strength she could muster up she turned around and walked through the gates.

"Manvi are you sure you're going to be alright" Rahul asked as he dropped her home from the airport.
"Yeah, I'll be fine, will you come by tomorrow, I just want to go and sleep," she said.
"Call me if you need anything," he said as she got out of the car and closed the door behind her. She smiled and went inside her house.
The Chaudhary household was not what it was when the time Manvi went away to university. It didn't have the liveliness; it seemed dark and lonely about the same way Manvi was feeling.
"Mom, I'm home," Manvi said as she opened the front door.
"You're early," her mother said as she came out from the kitchen.
"Yeah, Rahul had some work so he had to come back early." Manvi said, "Where's dad,"
"He's upstairs, he was feeling tired so went to bed early,"Manvi's mother said. "How was your trip?"
"It was good, I'm feeling tired I'll talk in the morning,"Manvi said and went upstairs on the way she peaked in to her father's room. How things had changed. If only she never had gone to Delhi maybe things would have not turned out the way they did. She wanted to go inside to see her father but didn't want to wake him.
She sighed and went to her room to take a shower. After a few minutes she came out feeling fresh and leaving her hair loose just the way she liked it. "Virat always liked when my hair was left loose." She thought. "Oh Virat I'm so sorry, why did things have to be this hard," she went to her desk drawer and took out a small album. She opened it and started looking at old pictures, there were pictures of Ria, Karan and Virat from their trip to Agra, pictures of she and Virat from university.
"Life was so simple back then, I can't believe it's not even been 3 years." She thought, "who knew that the actions of others can affect us so much."
She didn't even realise but she had dozed off and woke up for a sound outside her room. She got up from her bed to open the door but she didn't notice anything so she went back to her bed and lied on the bed. Suddenly her room door opened and she could see a tall silhouette figure come into the room. It wasn't her mother, "Who's there," she asked sounding scared but before she could put her lamp light on he came across the room in two strides and put his palm across her mouth to keep her from shouting. He turned the lamp light on and her eyes opened in surprise. He took his palm away from her mouth.
"Virat," Manvi exclaimed in surprise. "What are you, how did you, I don't understand."
"I had to talk to you, there was an open window, I came in through there and looked for your room, by the way I really like what you've done with it," he said looking around the room.
Manvi just stared at him surprised and not able to believe that Virat was sitting across from her.
"I don't think anyone heard me,"he said.
"That's not the answer to my question," she said.
"Look I don't care what you say or do I know your still in love with me, so it's about time you stopped talking in riddles saying all this ridiculous lines like love is not enough and all that crap. I didn't come halfway across the world for nothing and I won't go from here until I get answers.
Manvi remained silent not wanting to give into the urge she'd bring having for ever to tell him the truth.
"Manvi, when will you start trusting me," he said.
"Virat it's not a matter of trust," she said.
"Of course it is, you would never have kept anything from me if you completely trusted in me," he said.
"I was only trying to protect you." She said.
"I thought that was my job," he said making her give a soft smile. "What happened to us?"
"Your father." She said softly.
He gave a confused look and said, "Is it about dad's affair."
"It's true when they say that there's more than what meets the eye. My father and yours were doing some illegal things, word got out and that was a reason your dad had to get a transfer to Delhi, and they had wanted to fire him but didn't have enough proof. My father's name was never brought into the whole thing so your dad thought that he had given him away to save himself." She said looking at Virat's face which was a mixture of confusion and anger.
"So what did that have anything to do with why you ended things with me," he asked.
"When I came back home for the break your dad had already got in contact with my father apparently your mom had told about us, he wasn't happy that you were involved with his former friends daughter, a friend he thought that framed him. He threatened to expose my dad. Dad had gotten very high in his position in the company, even though your dad left the company sometime back this information could have ruined my dad's career." She said and went on.
"Dad begged me to stop all ties with you," she said with tears in her eyes, "I didn't want to at first but then your dad came by to our house and threatened my dad again, and dad he,"
She stopped unable to go any further.
"What happened? Manvi," he said holding her by the arms.
"Dad had a heart attack," she said softly. "He's paralysed and now gets about in a wheel chair, he had to leave his job and I've had to support my family ever since. I couldn't come back to school because I had to stay here and find a job, and I didn't want to tell you about what your dad did because I had to come to terms with it myself, I wanted to blame someone and I took it out on you, I couldn't be angry at your father so I was angry with you, but then I realised that you had no idea what was going on in the first place. But it was too late I made my decision and had to accept the consequences, it was the right thing even though I made it out of anger, I later realised that if your father didn't want us to be together we couldn't make it work no matter how hard we tried." She said.
"I'm so sorry Manvi, I never thought dad can stoop so low," he said angrily, "all this time and he never gave me the slightest hint that he knew anything, even after seeing me upset when things ended, he didn't even care one bit about me, and all he wanted was revenge." He said.
"It's not our place to judge," she said.
"Manvi, how can you be so calm about it, he ruined my life, do you know how hard it has been all these years without you, and to think it was because of my father makes me feel sick, he put you and your family through all that just to get pay back for a misunderstanding that was done years ago, he's not a father, how could a father put his own son through all that." Virat said shaking his fists with anger.
"Virat, you need to calm down," she said putting her hands on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry Manvi," he said kneeling beside her on the bed, "I hated you so much because I thought you had changed, but you were just keeping me from despising my father more than I already did,"
"You understand now, this is why we can never be together," she said.
"No, I will talk to my father, I will make him make all the wrongs right," he said.
"It's too late Virat, I'm engaged," she said.
"Engaged, it's not like your married yet," he said, "Rahul seems like a nice enough guy, I'm sure he'll be willing to let you go, he was in Melbourne, so why not now,"
"But Virat," she said,
"Manvi," he said softly, "fate has brought us together so many times, can't you see we are meant to be together, why do you want to fight it ?"
He brought himself up and sat on the bed next to her, closing in on the space between them. "We still love each other, you can't deny it, it's written all over your face," he brought his hand up to her face and started stroking his fingers over the soft skin on her face, "you can't deny that I still make your whole body tingle at my touch, I will talk to my father, he will have to agree, and I'll make your parents agree as well, I'm here now, and I won't let anything come between us ever again, but you have to promise me one thing,"
She looked at him and said, "Just one thing,"
"Cheeky are we," he said laughing, "promise that you'll never hide anything from me ever again."
"I won't," she said bringing herself forward to embrace him.
"You still smell the same," he said breathing in her fragrance, " I never could forget that, whenever I smelt lavender I thought of you," kissing her neck sweetly.
He brought his mouth over her soft skin and caressed his lips softly over her neck, bringing his mouth to her ear and nibbling it softly.
"Virat," she said feeling shy and awkward, "Kya Virat," he said giving her a teasing look,"If I remember correctly I was the one who stopped that night even though both of us didn't really want to,"
"Yeah but we're at my house now, what if someone comes in," she said "Manvi, I may have been stupid enough to think you let me go, but I'm not that stupid, But can you blame me, being close to someone as beautiful as you, how can I even think of resisting you," he said bringing his body closer to hers and letting his hands wander freely across her arms and stroking her back.
He slowly bent his head and started caressing her neck with his lips.
"Virat," she murmured his touch giving her goosebumps.
"I've missed you so much Manvi" he said his lips finally finding their way to her lips, she tasted the same as he remembered, sweet and delicious and it made him crave for more.
She held his face in her hands cupping it to hold him more tightly, never wanting to let go, and he kissed her more hard with passion that made her forget where she was and all the heartache that they had gone through.
There heartbeats were racing and he dipped forward and let her slide onto the bed carefully laying her head down on the pillow. She clawed her fingers through his neck and lifted herself up to bring her lips to his neck and bare chest that was open through the two open buttons on his shirt. She slowly took one hand over the buttons of his shirt slowly removing them one by one revealing more well toned muscle. She let her hand move across his chest pulling him closer to her body and snuggling her head in his chest.
He removed his shirt and pushed her down onto the bed again. He looked at her with love and admiration in his eyes. He slowly leaned towards her kissing the thin line of flesh at her waist, and guiding his lips over her breasts, his hands wondering inside her t-shirt.
"Virat," she suddenly said bringing him back to reality.
He stopped slowly bringing his hand to stroke her hair.
"I'm sorry," he said, " I got a bit carried away," and collapsed on the bed next to her.
"See this is why I stopped myself that night, I wanted our first night to be special, not like this worrying about someone catching us, we have our whole lives ahead of us, I want to start it the right way," he said.
"I know, that's what I always loved about you, you were and still are the perfect gentlemen always concerned for me and my feelings," she said, bringing her head to rest on his shoulder and put his arm around her to bring her closer to him.
"I'll talk to your dad apologize for my dad then I'm going to Delhi to talk to dad and knock come sense to him, can you handle Rahul," he asked.
"Isn't it better if you talk to your father first, then you can come with him to talk to my parents,"she said,"what if uncle doesn't agree,"
"He won't have a choice, I'm old enough to make my own decisions and I'm not going to let their mistakes affect out future." He said.
"But Virat, I don't want to cause problems between you and your father," she said.
"Our problems started way before when my dad decided to cheat on my mother, I lost the respect I had for my father after that and never really got it back, he disappointed me and after hearing everything that he did to pull us apart, it doesn't really surprise me, he's always been the kind to build his wealth on others misery, I was so scared of becoming my father Manvi, but you taught me to love and it made me a better person,"he said.
"Losing me didn't stop you from opening heart," she said jokingly.
"Didn't stop you from getting engaged, at least my relationships if you can even call it that were never serious, I never let it get there," he said.
"Rahul was my dads doctor, I never loved him but when his family brought the proposal dad was over the moon, I've never seen him happier that I didn't have a heart to say no, which makes me worry how I'm going to break the news to him," she said. "I've told Rahul everything about you because I didn't want to lie to him and didn't want to be unfair for him, but he let me take my own time and gave me all the space I needed, he truly was a great friend when I needed someone to turn to,"
"I should have been there for you," he said sadly.
"But you didn't know what I was going through," she said.
"But like you said if I really loved you I should have known something was wrong and that you could never do something like that with me, Ria tried to tell me so many times but I was so angry I didn't want to listen."he said looking at her apologetically, "I'm going to make sure that I'll make it up to you."
He kissed her forehead stroking her arm with his hand.
"I love you, you know" he said.
"I know, and I love you too,"she said," not to be a party pooper but I think you should go now, mum is going to be up soon and," she said.
"Say no more, I don't want to ruin any chance we have to together, I'm going to Delhi today and hopefully should be back with dad tomorrow, talk to Rahul and make sure you tell me everything, no secrets like before." He said.
Virat got up from the bed and went to the window, "So how do you want me to go out," he asked, "Through the front door,"she said.
"Wow you're a brave one," he said.
"You don't have to pass my parents room to get to the staircase,"she said taking his hand and opening the door to her room with the other.
"Wait," he said making her look back at him, she looked up at him, he leaned down and kissed her lips in a quick kiss and pulled her close bringing her head to his chest and kissing the top of her head. They half-heartedly pulled apart and Manvi led the way out of the room and down the staircase. Silently making their way through the hall to the front door.
"I'll call you when I get to Delhi,"he said pecking her cheek with quick kiss.
She just nodded and he touched her face with his palm for a minute and turned away to leave.
Manvi closed the door and went back upstairs trying to find the courage to tell Rahul everything and break off the engagement, because if he was on her side getting her dad to agree will be easier as she didn't want to cause anymore harm to him in case he has another attack.

"Sorry, I took so long," Virat said as he got into the rental car that they had hired. Karan had fallen asleep in the passenger seat.
"What's the time,"Karan said getting up sleepily.
"Almost 4,"Virat said.
"You certainly took your time, is everything alright," Karan asked.
"It will be as soon as I talk to dad,"Virat said.
"What does that have to do with anything,"Karan said.
"I'll tell you about it later, right now we need to get to the airport," Virat said.
"Why does it seem like the last 24 hours I've spent more time in the air than on the ground," Karan said.
"Hey no one asked you to come, you're free to leave," Virat said.
"Hey relax I was only joking, what's got into you man, I thought talking to Manvi will make things better," Karan said "Now I know the real reason behind our breakup and it makes me so angry, I didn't want to show my anger to Manvi but," Virat said slamming his fists on the dashboard. "I can't believe that he would do such a thing, I thought he cared about me no matter what he did,"
"Who are you talking about," Karan said looking confused.
"My dad, he's the reason for everything that happened," Virat said, "now drive, I need to get to Delhi,"

"Hey, why did you want to meet up with me sl urgently," Rahul said as he sat next to Manvi at the restaurant.
"I don't know how to say this," she went on.
"Is everything ok," he asked.
Manvi looked down at her hands unable to say anything,
"Hey, you can tell me anything," Rahul said, reaching out to touch her hand.
"Virat came by, he's going to talk to his father," she said finally getting the courage.
"So you want me to break off the engagement and tell your father," he said, "is that all, I know you never loved me Manvi, it was and always will be him for you,"
"Oh Rahul, I'm so sorry, I never wanted to hurt you ever, you've been such a good friend to me throughout all this, I wish things were different," she said,
"Don't worry about it, come lets go an talk to your uncle," he said taking her hand and taking her out of the restaurant.

"Rahul," Manvi's mother said as soon as Rahul and Manvi walked in through the front doors, "how was your trip to Australia,"
"It was good aunty," he said, "Is uncle sleeping,"
"No he's up, he'll be happy to see you, come I'll take you to him," she said,
"Rahul," Mr Chaudhary said as soon as Rahul entered the room with Manvi and Mrs Chaudhary, "I've been meaning to talk to you, so glad you came,"
"I want to talk to you too," Rahul said making Manvi feel nervous,
"Please God don't let him have another heart attack," Manvi thought to herself,
"I was talking to your father the other day and we thought that we should decide on a date for the wedding," Mr Chaudhary said,
"Really, so soon," Rahul said,
"Well I don't think we should wait any longer," he said making Manvi even more nervous as her father was going to get the shock of his life,
"According to the Pandit there wont be a better date for the next six months and the best date before that is in exactly five days,"Mr Chaudhary went on.
"Five days," Rahul said, "That's a short time to plan everything,"
Manvi was surprised at his answer, "why is he asking so many details, and getting dad's hopes up," she thought to herself.
"Your Dad has taken all the responsibility of the planning even though the traditionally the planning should be from the brides side." Mr Chaudhary said.

First n foremost, I learn this again that never take things for granted n don't assume the expected cuz world doesn't revolve according to ur terms! Y am I saying this? Cuz I thought u will never give us an intidemating scene .. But today my jaw was literary open! ROFL warning dena chahiye tHa na :p but short scene yet very sexy :p so this leaves me no choice apart from giving us the full picture! I still don't believe I'm writing this cuz I respect u as diii n it's kinda odd to ask u besharam stuff like that HOWEVER, since I'm giving u my feedback as a reader POV anything goes darling. N yes very much besharam reader I am. So u got no option baby just give it! *hides*

Ok now evil mind is satisfied but grumpy too.. Y do u make my boy sooo goood man.. It's like a precious diamond! Really hard to find! I love his way of thinking.. He didn't wanted to go above n beyond cuz that moment only will come once .. Umm well first feeling will be the best one so he didn't wanted to ruin it with fear! Dont remember who said the dialog of "if I loved u I sud har known that sumthing was wrong" mayb virat's rite? Trust, believe n honesty that's the main pillars of a relation! U break it u lose it but then broken things can be built again!! Which he is bound to do!!

LOVE Karan n VIRAT convo! U know best part abt ur story? It gives a natural touch n lures me more to read more!!! I loved Karan's answer "in 24 hrs Ive been in air thn in ground" poor boy hahah n virat's reply was natural too just love their bonding ^______^ want some more dialogs for them at the end ok?

Oh yes this dialog I love the most "losing u doesn't mean there won't be opening heart" or something u said.. I kinda got the meaning but still unsure abt it.. Enlighten me plz :p

Awesome Update..! Finally VirMan are together but with some more glitches..which m sure Virat will get rid of it...but Rahul he backed out as in he agreed for marriage even after Maanvi spoke the truth out..Waiting for next..!

Long update after long time.. loved it.. so misunderstandings cleared dan y Rahul bieng evil.. aww Poor Virat.. he has to suffer bcz of his dad nd even Manvi.. Loved it Nush.. Hope to gt next update as early as possible...!!!

fabulous update...finally after long time haan..so at last everything sorted out between virman and now they are back together but what is rahul up to now want virat to give him a punch..thanks for the PM..eagerly waiting for nxt part..but it will be last one na :-(
