|Manvi's POV|

"You Bitch get down your bloody butt here!" I heard my mom shout. I yawned and stretched myself and slowly got down the bed. I examined a few bruises on my face which my step-dad caused me last night. Ouch! It still hurts. I went down into the living area to see bags and luggage and got confused. "What's all this?" I asked in m sleepy tone. "Well I and your dad would love to get away from you so we are going to a trip for a month. At least we wouldn't have to see your ugly face for a month." She replied. "Well first thing he is not my dad he is my step-dad and wow I never thought you people would love to keep me happy. I am now gonna be happy for one whole month since I don't have to see YOUR idiotic faces." I argued back. I felt her hands ball into tight fists and then I felt a sharp pain sting my cheek. She slapped me. "How dare you raise your voice at me you bitch!" she said anger clear in her voice. We heard a car horn go and it was him signaling her to come out. "You better be careful and be in your limits next time. Take care of my house if you spoil anything I will have to call your dad and you know what he will do to you" she said with an evil smirk. "Yeah I would be utmost happy if you leave now" I said showing my hands towards the door. "Bye Momma" I said and she left without replying. Yess! I am gonna be all alone for a month without my mom and step-dad. Yippe! Wow today is Sunday so I don't even have to go to school and spoil my whole day. I went upstairs brushed my teeth took a bath and wore this.

They are quite comfortable for me. I went back to my room and switched on the TV. The least I can do is watch TV or read novels. As i got up to get snacks I heard the honk of a horn in front of my house?

I went up to the window and saw that a family was shifting to the house beside mine. Wow new people in the neighborhood. Maybe I can make friends with kids if there are any. But I didn't bother to see who it was and went back to get my snacks.

Ugh irritating! Why did we have to shift our house now? Okay I don't say it's a bad idea but I don't either say it's a good idea. I mean previously my house was just 2 blocks away from Shellby's house and now it is so many miles away from her house. It's horrible. "Virat your room is upstairs third one I think" I heard my dad say. Wow genius dad! I went up and opened the door to my room. It was stinking horrible eww. I think it requires a lot of makeover. I am gonna paint the walls blue and green. My bed will be placed close to the right wall away from the window. And I will have posters hung up on the main wall and mine and Shellby's pictures on the right wall. Perfect! "Virat dear why don't you just go and visit our neighbors?" I heard my mom ask. Grr'Why should I visit them? That's ridiculous mom! But I agreed since I didn't want to make her upset. "Fine Mom" "Take Jeevika along with you as well" She added. Jeevika is my younger sister and she is of Manvi's age. Uhh Virattt not Manvi i..i mean Shellby! God Virat get over it Shellby is your girlfriend not Manvi! But you might want Manvi to be your girlfriend said my stupid heart. "Shut Up!!!!" I screamed. "What happened Vira why are you screaming?" Jeevika said piping her head into my room. "Nothing come lets go visit our Neighbor" "Okay" she said excited. We both went out. It was a cold day with the wind being so cool that when the air touches you it feels as if someone are biting you. The green leaves and trees give a beautiful look to this place. Good place for a beautiful morning walk. I went up to my Neighbor's door and rang the bell. Once. Twice. Thrice. And finally I heard some shuffling sounds and the door opened revealing "Manvi Choudary!"
