Beautifully written with revealings of new side of Khushi's to arnav and Arnav's to Khushi.
Arnav ended up capturing more of Khushi in his camera than the art and crafts mela. His reasoning is that she is photogenic and probably automatically she is in the view of the camera eye :-). He had started falling for her smile. Arnav did have a good time at the mela forgetting his work..He has started to soften up somewhat towards Khushi and not get riled up by her childish behavior at times.
'Potato chips. Packaged and sealed by a huge multinational company which guarantees that it is safe to eat it. And if something STILL happens to you, I'll make sure that bade papa sues them and gets you an apology and adequate compensation'.. These words from Khushi is humourous...Khushi was concerned about him not having any food in the mela except for the Biseleri.. She brought him a packed potato chips.. which was manufactured and packed by the MNC. She knew he was diabetic and needs to take care of his health, and she had also refused to eat until she had got him to eat something. So nice of her and Arnav did appreciate this gesture of hers which was showing off her motherly nature..even his mother never used to bother about his food and health...
I felt sad at the way Khushi was trying not to be in pace with Arnav so that he doesn't get embrassed being spotted with a limping girl.. It shows how much Khushi has been hurt by Shyam and it was not right on part of Khushi to judge everyone based on her experience with Shyam.. How could she think that even Arnav would be feeling so, if that was the case, he wouldn't have volunteered to take her to the mela.. and it was good that she got her senses back and could see the difference between Shyam and Arnav, who had been bridging the distance between them, and started walking beside Arnav even before he could figure out the reason..
'May I ask why did you not mention any of it in the whole day that we were together?'
'It is my first time running the house. It slipped my mind. "I forgot that there would be no dinner waiting for us at home because generally it is there."
What do you wanna eat? Bread-butter or Maggi?' Khushi stepped forward with her offer.
'Neither. We should eat something normal people eat in dinner' he narrowed his eyes at her preposterous dinner options.
Let me make a wild guess. You don't know cooking, do you?' he folded his hands on his chest.
'I know microwave cooking' she defended her dignity. 'I know how to make rice, maggi, warm up milk, boil potatoes and make bread butter & bread jam too'.
'Do one thing Khushi. DO NOTHING. Go and sit there quietly. You don't need to help. I'll call you when it is done' he was so stern that it left no room for argument.
Khushi forget to mention about them dining outside since she had given off to HP and others, and eventually Arnav had to cook. Arnav wasn't angry on her, but coolly went ahead with cooking pasta..She still wanted to help Arnav with dinner , and felt guilty for putting him in this position, but Arnav never let her do anything. Arnav did get a peek into the culinary skills of Khushi, and also her inexperience in running a household:-)... Probably he will have to spend too much time with her to help her manage the household and also cooking.
Loved the pace in which their relationship is progressing . Both of them are beginning to rely on each other, taking care of each other and their thoughts are occupied by each other. I feel Arnav is finding solace in her, which he hadn't found anywhere in his life so far. Arnav has started feeling Khushi's worth , realizing her qualities that make her special - she is constant like sun, reliable and who will bestow you with their warmth no matter what happens, she never gives up come what may.
