Chapter 4

She got up from her bed and placed herself in front of Swayam.

"WHAT CALMLY SWAYAM? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT? WHAT YOU THINK OF ME HUH? A TOY?"

He was shocked.

Her pain, her insecurity, her fear, her confusion was taking over her. What if this was a cheap game for him? What if his intention was to make her fall in love with him and saviour her body and leave? She couldn't handle these fears. She has fallen in love with him. She loves him more than her own life. If he leaves her she will lose her life.

"Sharon. What the hell are you saying? Have you gone crazy?"

"So, what else can i say Swayam? I got suspended cause of you. You kissed me in my school, in front of everyone."

Tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.

"Sharon look, i know i shouldn't have done that but.."

She couldn't even let him complete. "But you did. Why Swayam? You didn't get any other girl to play with?"

"Sharon please listen to me. At least let me explain."

"NO. YOU WILL FIRST ANSWER ME. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT A GIRL HUH? THEY ARE JUST TOYS? TODAY YOU ARE RUNNING AFTER ME AND TOMORROW AFTER SOMEONE ELSE AND THEN AFTER SOMEONE ELSE."

She didn't even know how much she was hurting him. He couldn't say anything to her. He was just staring at her quietly.

She continued. "TODAY AMAN CAME TO ME FOR WHAT? JUST TO USE ME. AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING..YOU ARE DOING JUST THE SAME. JUST USING ME AND PLAYING GAMES WITH ME."

He couldn't take her accusations anymore. "Sharon i don't even know Aman. How can you compare me with him?"

She snapped back. "WHY CAN'T I SWAYAM? AMAN DATES A GIRL, USES HER AND THEN THROWS HER AWAY. YOU ARE ALSO DOING THE SAME THING WITH ME. YOU ARE JUST USING ME FOR YOUR DESIRES."

"SHARON"

"DON'T SHOUT SWAYAM. THIS IS THE FACT. WHY ARE YOU PLAYING THESE GAMES WITH ME SWAYAM?" Her body was shaking cause of her anger. She couldn't breathe properly. "DON'T YOU HAVE ANY OTHER GIRL TO PLAY WITH? HAVE YOU ALREADY USED ALL THE GIRLS OF BANGALORE?" She continued in a sarcastic tone. "THEN DON'T WORRY HERE IN MUMBAI YOU WILL GET MANY OTHER GIRLS WHO ARE AS CHEAP AS YOU."

This was enough for him to handle. He couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed her by her shoulders and shook her while saying. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND SHARON? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?"

She tried to free herself from his grip, but she couldn't. He was too strong for her. She said totally furious. "YES I KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING. IF YOU WANT TO JUST SAVIOUR A GIRL'S BODY THEN WHY DON'T YOU CALL A WH**E?"

"SHARON." He barked.

He couldn't take a word more. He left her shoulders and raised his hand to slap her. She flinched and shut her eyes as tightly as she could. But he didn't hit her. He couldn't. He curled his fingers into a fist and slammed his fist on the door. She flinched again.

"YOU KNOW WHAT.." She opened her eyes to look at him. She could see his face has turned red. His eyes were as hard as a rock. And his eyes also hold another emotion other than anger that is hurt. IF I WANTED TO JUST SAVIOUR YOUR BODY THEN I COULD HAVE DONE THAT BY NOW. NO ONE IS AT HOME. I WOULDN'T HAVE TOLERATED SO MUCH INSULT BY YOU." Then he said quietly. "But i don't want to Sharon. You know why? Cause i want you. I don't want to get you Sharon." He again barked. "DID YOU HEAR ME? I DON'T WANT TO GET YOU."

She stiffened. She was shocked as well as surprised by his sudden confession. She never thought of this unexpected thing to happen. She never thought Swayam could love her, he could want her. She used to think that this is just a game for him. All those things he used to do with her were just fun for him. But she guessed she was wrong. She looked at his eyes and she could see only hurt there. She has hurt him immensely.

He continued. "You think i have kissed a lot of girls?" He shook his head. "Sharon if i have kissed any girl in my life then its only you. If i have behaved like the way i do with you then it's only you Sharon. You think i will behave the same way with every girl i meet? NO BLOODY WAY."

He ran his fingers through his hairs. His voice was shaking and his body too. She couldn't see him like this anymore.

"Swayam i.."

"You made me feel so cheap for wanting you Sharon." He told her with his voice shaking and moist eyes.

"Swayam.."

"Mom used to send me pictures every year of every occasion. I saw you first time in a picture of Dad's office's christmas party. I didn't even know at that time why i felt attracted towards you. Whenever i used to see pictures of you i used to feel butterflies in my stomach. I wished i could see you, i could hold you in my arms. I know this is crazy but its true Sharon. I used to think it's just a mere attraction and it will go away with time. But it didn't. There was not a single day i didn't see your picture. With time i realised it's not just attraction, its love, true love."

She didn't know how to react. Should she be happy that Swayam also loves her and is confessing his love for her or should she be sad that she has hurt him beyond limit and maybe she has lost him forever!

He continued. "i am sorry i took you for granted. I thought that as i love you, you will also love me back. " she was about to say something. But he didn't let her talk as he continued. "But i was wrong. I shouldn't have forced my love on you and crossed my limits. As i love you it doesn't mean you will also love me."

He looked at her with longing, love and hurt in his eyes. He could see her eyes were reflecting the same emotions. But right now he couldn't believe them. Till morning he was sure she loved him. But her accusations has question him whether she truly loves him. Whether she trusts him. The only thing he could think now was that he has imposed himself on her and she doesn't trust him. She is just scared of him.

Sharon was again going to say something but he stopped her.

"Sharon you don't need to say anything. I know i have hurt you by imposing myself on you. I know you are scared of me. But don't worry i will never bother you again. I came back to Mumbai just for you, to meet you. But i guess it was a wrong decision. I will leave Mumbai Sharon. I know my absence will make you feel safer. I will leave. You be happy always." And he disappeared from her sight.

She stood there at her place like a stone. She couldn't let him go. He is misunderstanding her. She is not scared of him. She said all those words in confusion, fear and frustration. She was scared to lose him. She was mad at him because he kissed her in front of everyone and she got suspended.

All the teachers of her school love her. She was scared that they will misunderstand her now. It could have ruined her school life, her career. But she was never scared of him.

She was not mad at him because he kissed her. She was mad at him because he kissed her in front of the whole school which could have been disastrous for her career. She is just in class 10. She could have got a TC. She needs to tell him that she loves him and trusts him.
