Chapter 2

She was busy looking inside and didn't notice the doormat and tripped and was about to fall , when he hold her one hand and her waist with the other hand and saving her from falling said

"Ek aur chiz nahi badli hai Miss Paraku , woh hai tumhari slip kha ke girne ki aadat'." [One more thing has not changed and that is your habit of slipping and falling.]

Khushi looked at him and remembered how , she used to slip a lot in her college days and then Farhan , used to hold her , save her from falling down . How she loved to be in Farhan's arms , but today there was no Farhan , it is Arnav . She is still in somebody's arms but that somebody was not her Farhan and realizing this , she instantly got back to her real position mumbling a slow "Thank you" and then started looking here and there to see if anybody have seen them in that position.

Arnav looked at how Khushi was busy looking here and there to see whether anybody had witnessed the scene. He smiled at her childishness and moving a bit closer to her whisphered

"Khushi don't worry kisi ne t umhe nahi dekha hai'" [Nobody has seen you'.]

And she nodded and he chuckling started walking inside and Khushi followed him.

Soon they were in the big hall of Shantivaan and Khushi was busy looking here and there. She looked at how beautifully the house was decorated , the walls were painted with some theme and color contrast . She looked at the large beautiful sofa sets along with a designed glass table in the middle . There were beautiful and costly flower vases kept here and there , which were had colourfull flowers . Even the curtains were beautiful and were probably made of costly silk. She was busy looking at the hall when she heard a sweet , known voice and she turned towards the stairs to see the source of the voice and saw Arnav blind folding Anjali with his hands and bringing her downstairs.

"Chote kya hai ??? Mere aankhein toh kholo'" [Chote open my eyes']

"Di ! wait there is a surprise , a very big surprise waiting for you'."

"Ok !! Chote par Anu upar akeli hai'." [But Anu is alone upstairs.]

"Don't worry Di !! Mami use neeche le arahi hai'" [Mami is bringing her down.]

Khushi was standing and was looking at this brother and sister duo and a small smile appeared on her face . She smiled thinking , they are still the same , the Best Brother ' Sister of the World.

And finally they came downstairs and Arnav with his index finger signaled Khushi to be quiet . Khushi nodded and Arnav brought Anjali infront of Khushi and then counted

"1... 2... 3... surprise..." And opened her eyes.

Anjali opened her eyes to see Khushi standing infront of her and her eyes became bigger and a broad smile appeared on her lips which soon got converted into a laugh and a "Khushi !!!!" escaped her lips.

Khushi too smiled a weak smile and before anybody could say anything Khushi was engulfed into a tight best friend bear hug. They were hugging and that's when they heard a giggle of a small baby along with clapping of hands.

They parted from the hug to turn and look at the delighted and excited two and a half year old Anushka in Mami's arms , who was desperately trying to come to her Mom. Khushi looked at that sweet , cute , beautiful girl and looked at Anjali with confusion and Anjali smiled and said

"Yeh Anushka hai , meri aur Shyam ki beti'.." [She is Anushka'. Mine and shyam's daughter.]

And that's when the name clicked her , all this time Arnav was talking about this angel and she thought that he was talking about his wife. Khushi smiled at the little girl and went to take her in her arms and Anushka instantly came to Khushi's arms and giggled.

Anjali came near them and said

"Anu yeh Khushi hai'" [Anu she is Khushi']

And Anu with her beautiful chocolaty eyes looked at Khushi and smiled a smile that won Khushi's heart at once and Anu slowly said

"Kusi'."

And everybody laughed at her try.

Arnav after doing his part was sitting on the sofa and was enjoying this meeting and greeting hen Anu's eyes fell on her mama and she started struggling to go to Arnav by saying

"Mamu !!!! Mamu !!!!" and Arnav smiled and got up and took her from Khushi's arm and said

"Mamu ! is here jaan'." And with that he kissed on her cheeks and Anu giggled and place an open mouthed kiss on Arnav's cheek.

Anjali then turned to Khushi and said

"Khushi tu yahaan kya ?? kab ??? I mean' Oh God.. mai tujhe.. kitne.. din.. baad dekh rahi haoon' Pehle tu baith.. mujhe tujhse bahut se baatein karne hai' " and they were about to sit when Arnav said

"Di khate khate bat kare , I am really very hungry.. and I think Khushi ne bhi kuch nahi khaya hai." [Di can we talk while eating , I am really very hungry and I guess Khushi have also not eaten anything.]

Anjali slapped her forehead and said

"Oh ! mai toh bhool hi gayi thi' lets go.. tum dono chal kar khalo'."

And Arnav said

"Khushi aayi nahi ki di , tum toh abhi se mujhe bhulne lagi ho'." [Khushi have just come now and you have already started forgetting me'.]

Anjali complained and said

"Chote tum bhi na'." and playfully hit his shoulder and he made a

"aaauuu'." Sound and Anu , who witnessed this instantly went up to his defense speaking in her broken language

"Maa' nayi ' nayi' Mamu' aaauu'.."

And Arnav kissed Anu's cheek and said

"Dekha aakhir Anu is on my side'. Who aapki tarah side change nahi karti hai' my sweetheart.. my jaan'"

And all 3 of them laughed and went towards the dinning table.

Arnav and Khushi were served dinner , Khushi was busy looking at her surroundings when Anjali asked

"Aab bata Khushi tu kaisi hai ??? Aur tere ghar wale ???" [Now tell how are you and your family?]

Arnav interrupted them and said

"Di kam se kam aap uss ko shaanti se khana toh khane do'" [Di atleast let her eat her food in peace.]

"Tum nahi samjhoge Chote, kaisa lagta hai'." [You will not understand Chote how it feels'.]

And Arnav completed

"Jab tum aapne long lost sister se milte ho right di ???"

"YA right'.."

And Khushi asked

"Di , Nani kaha hai'"

"Woh Nani aaj jaldi so gayi hai'. Par chinta mat karo' kal subah subah hum nani ko aarti ke time surprise de denge'." [Nani has slept early today , but don't worry we will give her surprise tomorrow morning.]

And Khushi nodded . In the meantime they had finished their dinner and Arnav picked up Anu in his arms and said

"Di aap Hari Prakash ko bolkar Khushi ke liye guest room khulwa so' mai aur Anu sone ja rahe hai'.. Good Night Khushi'." [Di you ask HP and unlock the guest room for her' and me and Anu are going to sleep'. ]

And with that he turned to leave when Anjali called him

"Chote ????"

"Haan di !!!" he asked turning towards them.

"Woh Chote mai yeh keh rahi thi ki Shyam jib hi toh bahar gaye hue hai' aur Anu toh tumhare saath rehne wali hai.. so'." [Chote I was saying that shyam has also gone out and Anu will be with you so']

"So what di ??? Jaldi bolo we both are waiting'." [Tell fast']

"So Khushi mere saath so sakti hai'."

He chuckled and said

"Oh ! cmon Di Khushi aapki long lost sister , best friend forever aur bhi jo jo hai' so aap mujhse kyu puch rahe ho'. Kuch bhi karo aapki marzi'. Aur waise bhi aap kab se mera permission lene lag gayi ???" [Do whatever you want , why are you asking me ???? And since when you have started taking my permission.]

And Anjali smiled and said

"Good Night chote !!!"

"Good ni'.. no .. Good Chatting to both of you'" and with that , talking all stupid things with Anu , he left and Anjali smiled a big one and said

"Chal Khushi , lets go to my room'." And pulled her towards her room.

Yes I got inspired by your small short short comments and so from now onwards there will be short updates.

Another thing that I wanted to say was... You guys will again be thinking , Why again a mamu nd niece relation. Actually honestly I love this relation... I myself have a really good relation with my MAMA and when i was a kid , it was soo nice , and I used to and still love my Mamu a lot. So there it goes...

What I belief is , a girl after her DAD and Mom always have the best relation with her Mama... and there is goes. My explanation...
