the only thing tht matters is story my dear...

yes there many ff that are just based on intimate scenes.. but wht u write frm ur heart wht ur comfortable in ..matters... nothing else..

if u ask me i hardly write intimate parts... so its upto u..wht u want to write a story or just ...

there are even writers who write so many intimate scenes yet they also have a very beautiful strong plot... like Appy... her story has concept story and they are amazingly written ...

Well, it's not important! 😊 I wrote and I'm still writing many fictions but never wrote intimate scenes! I just write like they show in serials. He placed her on the bed and lights off! 😆 It depends on the story concept also.. like if you write a mature fiction, then you need to add but if it's a simple concept.. it will be fine without! 😃

Intimate scenes get a bit too superficial and dramatic sometimes.
You can write intimate scenes, as long as it connects to the real world.
Many people write how "He stared at her, and they kept staring for ten minutes." No. That is just too far. Sometimes I wonder if the characters have a staring syndrome! 😆 And no, there is no wind blowing and hair blowing, or anything such.

Intimate scenes with kisses and stuff is okay, but don't take it to kissing every other paragraph. Or cheesy!

As I said before, try something new. So far I have understood that people like reading novels/FFs where characters 'talk' more than they do.

Sarcastic, humorous or intelligent conversations make the story more fun and interesting! Instead of intimate scenes, try putting more conversations that matter, and that might foreshadow the future event (i.e, if you know your storyline already!)

One more advice is, don't write an FF if you don't know how it's gonna go. At least have SOME idea about the coming chapters. Best writers know what they are going for in future, and foreshadow once in a while.

If you want an example of "great" fanfiction, read @Kautilya04's FF - Prithvi! :D

If you are a writer: then make your characters do anything!!! If you are not comfortable writing intimacy or about certain body parts then you can write it indirectly. Or if you think your story can do without it, go ahead :-)

If you are a reader: If you are not comfortable reading about intimacy and you really like the story, just skip that part or browse throught it :-)

Regarding using movie/book/show concepts:

Guys, i think it all boils down to the same thing over and over again. And that is.. plot vs concept. For movies.. if you take the general concept of the movie and write a Fan Fiction on it, it's fine. But if you take the plot of the movie and write a Fan Fiction on it, then it's not fine because all you've done is changed the names of the characters. So if you were to base your FF off of a movie.. and let's just say that in it, the characters meet at a car wash because the male lead owns it and fall in love.. You can totally just use that and have YOUR characters meet the same way because that's common in ALL stories. One way or another, the characters do meet and fall in love [with a few exceptions of course]. But suppose if later on in the movie, one of the leads gets married to someone else.. and you do the same in your story, you've just taken the plot of the movie.

So, as long as you've stated somewhere that the concept, and the characters are not your own.. you should be fine. It's like.. writing an FF on a show and then just re writing each episode as a chapter but changing a few characters and adding a chapter or two of your own. You've still just taken the entire plot of the show and claimed it as your own.. =/

Hopefully that made sense?
