Simple yet beautiful...

I had finished reading this SS last week but couldn't bring myself to comment for two reasons:

1- I was head over heels in love with a show which was destroyed in stages before it was abruptly ended. I didnt watch the Sheetal track (the only time I didnt watch IPK) and I stay clear of all FFs based on that track. But I read this and realised: THIS is what I would have paid to watch on screen. This is how the entire Sheetal track needed to be addressed. You made me realize that I was missing something without even knowing it. It just made me so nostalgic about something that didnt even happen.

2- How am I supposed to write you a comment when I feel that my words will tarnish the perfection which this story is???

I will be brief, very brief.

I liked how Khushi was struggling between her love for Arnav and her insecurities. I liked how Arnav was struggling between his love for Khushi and proving it to her.

Upon this you have beautifully addressed certain complexities, that their love was a product of hate and misunderstanding which didnt really allow them to explore either their budding love or their intense involvement with each other, that their characters are so different- one is too pragmatic and the other is too emotional and the difficulty in maintaining that balance, that their backgrounds are different which makes adjustment more difficult especially when they dont know the other completely, that he had an ex who is now living under the same roof as them- an ex who looks perfect for him- and the issues that seem to arise out of it.

But all is well that ends well. They are on their journey to understand and communicate with each other. Their love will help them. Their desire to ease the others' pain will help them. Their baby together will help them.

PS: You even addressed Anjali's troubles beautifully.

That was brilliant. There is bound to be complications in any relationship, more so when personalities differ as Arnav and Kushi. You peeled layer by layer and told in a simple straightforward manner that a marriage needs to be worked even when both are insanely in love with each other. It was not just a love story, it had depth which was unassuming with its simplicity and narration.

I am glad I stumbled upon this story
