Chapter 8
They had finished their class and decided to hang out in the canteen.
In the canteen
Simmi- God that class was so boring
Rinni- I know, I really don't want to go to another class
Sharon- Chill we have one more class left and it's only two hours
Rinni- Oh no
Taani- Bhai, I don't have any class left so I'll go home
Swayam- Taani, just wait 2 hours and then we will together
Taani- Fine
Rey- I don't know about you, but these classes just get weirder
Swayam- True, well we should get going, we'll see you soon Taani
Taani- Bye everyone
The gang leaves and Taani is left alone. She decides to walk around.
Her thoughts
Please leave my head Mayank, you are breaking me into pieces. This is not fair. Just stop please.
While getting lost into her thoughts, she stumbles into the rehearsal room.
Taani- Wow, this rehearsal room is impressive
She likes the way her voice sounds in this room.
She tries out a few notes and deems the room fit for singing.
She sings a couple songs, before her heart starts hurting terribly at the thought of Mayank.
In her thoughts
Every time I think I'm going forward, but you keep pulling me back.
She starts humming, then starts full on belting out a song.
Nikki flores: one heart missing
Everything feels a little strange
The sunrise doesnt look the same

With the gang. Their class finished a little early. As soon as they get out of their class their class they hear someone singing. ( Their class was near the rehearsal room) They follow the sound and see Taani walking around with a pain filled look on her face.
Swayam is troubled seeing Taani like this.
My days feel like a hundred years

Rey was mesmerized with her voice. It was the first time he saw someone look so beautiful while being hurt.

Taani (to herself)- I don't want to feel like this, please get him out of my head krishna-ji. I learned from my mistake, please take him away, please
With the gang.
Swayam- You guys go home, i'll see you tomorrow
Sharon- That was beautiful. It was sung in such a beautiful way, it was so haunting, i literally feel chills
Rey- Yah... Very haunting... Almost like she knows
Sharon- What are you saying Rey
Rey- Um nothing, let's go, see ya later Swayam
The gang leaves and Swayam enters the rehearsal hall.
Swayam- When are you going to tell
Taani- Oh hi bhai, you're done, let's go
Swayam- Taani
Taani slighty tearing up.
Taani- Bhai, I'll tell you but can we please go home first
Swayam- um Ya
They both go home.
At the house.
Taani changes then goes to sit in the living room.
Shortly after Swayam enters and sits across her. They just sit there until Taani breaks the silence.
Taani- I was tired of being told I couldn't date
Swayam was listening intently with no intention of interrupting.
Taani- He was like seeing the sun for the first time, he was like a door opening. He caught me, I couldn't help but fall hard, fall really hard
I was really hoping none of you find because I really liked him, but in the end he didn't feel the same way
I thought he loved me and one day the truth hit like a bullet train, I don't know how to pick up these pieces he left. It hurts, I don't know who Taani is anymore
It's like he took my identity and ripped it away from me
I really thought he cared but he was just using me
At first, I didn't notice, but every time I refused to give him my songs or sing and dance or do other stuff for him he would get irritated
Then he go worst he would yell at me a lot and for someone reason I couldn't leave even when I wanted to so bad
And finally he started beating me
( At this point Taani is crying and Swayam is tearing up at his sisters pain and livid at what Mayank did)
Taani- When the beatings started to get worse, I took whatever courage I had and left before it got even worse
He was cheating on me the whole time
And it hurts knowing that I let him go that far because I was scared, I let my fears get the better of me and I will never forgive myself for that
I let myself get hurt, It was my fault I was in so much pain. I should have listened, but I didn't.
I don't know whats left of me
Both siblings are full on crying. Swayam not being able to take it anymore hugs his sister really tight and does not let go. She starts crying harder in Swayams arms.
Taani- Bhai I was so stupid
Swayam- No you're not, you made a mistake like every human being in this world does. You had a lapse in judgement, everyone does. Never take the blame for what something someone did to you
You were scared, but you know what you left that experience braver
And you know because you had the courage to leave
You know who you are, you are Taani. You can be anything you want, because whenever you stop being Taani your bhais will bring you back.
Taani- Thank you bhai
Swayam and Taani sit in each others arms for while. Until Swayam told Taani to go sleep.
In Swayams room.
While Taani was sleeping he decide to call his brothers.
He calls Raj.
Raj- Hello
Swayam- Hi bhai, it's me Swayam
Raj- Hi Swayam, hold lemme go get your other bhais
Swayam- Ok
All his brothers- Hey Swayam
Raj- You're on speaker
Gaurav- You finally remember us
Jay- Now we know you're alive
Arjun- Ha dude call more often
Karan- Well, it's good to here from you
Vishal- Nice hearing from you, how is Taani
Swayam- She's ...
Vishal- Why do you sound tense
Swayam- She finally told me the truth
Raj- That Mayank cheated on her
Karan- What a loser
Arjun- Cheaters never prosper
Gaurav- We still have to teach him a lesson
Vishal- We will eventually
Jay- Swayam wasn't done stupids
Swayam- um Bhai sit down
Raj- Why
Swayam- Just do it ok, and don't yell, no one else needs to know this
Raj- Um ... Ok
Swayam- the truth is much worse than what Vishal heard
Swayam starts to tell them what Taani told him.
All her brothers- He is dead
Swayam- Calm down
Vishal- Don't tell us to calm down, I know you want to do the same thing
Swayam- Yes, but right now I am more worried about how to keep the pain away from her
Raj- Right, Swayams right
Arjun- Take her to a carnival and let her do whatever she wants
Gaurav- It'll keep her happy and distracted for a little while
Jay- Just keep her company, everything else isnt as affective
Swayam- Ok thanks bye
They end the call and Swayam has a restless sleep.
Meanwhile at Reys house.
Rey is in his room, lying down on his bed.
In his thoughts.
Why does it bother me so much. The look on her face.
Because you know that look, you've had it on your face. But i've never seen it that bad.
Whatever Rey focus.
Rey falls asleep thinking about Taanis pain filled face.
