I believe everyone meets someone in their lives that makes them think about themselves their behaviour and question their being.
Most of us when confronted by such people either tend to berate the other person to cover our insecurities, or if we're lucky, we accept the discomforting notion that we could have done better, been better.
Arnav can choose to keep his head in the sand, but Khushi has made it clear what she thinks, what her grievances are and what kind of woman she is. Arnav may have tried in this chapter to classify Khushi as all other women, to put her into the neat boxes he assigns everyone he meets. But Arnav is in essence, just like our Darcy, a good man; a good man albeit so far driven by ego, pride and conceit.
Just as Lizzy Bennett helped Darcy to value the true worth of a good woman, I believe Khushi has made Arnav question his behaviour. And as much as Arnav wants to trivialise her feelings I think he'll find a way to earn her forgiveness and he'll also WANT her forgiveness despite his protesting. He feels something...although it might feel nebulous to him...and it's obvious NK will continue to bring out the green-eye monster in him :)
