It's heart wrenching to read how each of these girls came into this trade. First Anjali and now Lavanya, both victims of circumstances. The resentment in Devayani that causes her to not even have a trace of sympathy for 'her girls'. She tries to view them as creatures to control in a detached manner but the envy and resentment creep in. It'll be interesting to see how she develops as the story does and how she interacts with the others. She draws me in just because of how dark and twisted she is. The shy stumbling Shyam Jha is refreshing and his first meeting with Anjali was weirdly adorable. The scene with Lavanya shows that Anjali is on her way to becoming Devayani but not yet there. Shyam might be just the thing that stops her.

The pretty lady mystery gets murkier! Why does Sashi not want anyone to know who hit his daughter? The characters you picked fit in. I was surprised when I saw Devayani as Meryl Streep. But she could pull off a callous madame like Devayani effortlessly, so I can totally picture her in the role!

On a completely unrelated note. The puppy in your siggy is beyond adorable! is he/she yours?

i said before and il say it again, i love how everyone has their own bit into the story, although it has just started, you can see that everyone has a story to tell

shyaams entrance and running away from anjali, even more when she beckoned him back

Ahh the bitter truth of reality... Sad what bad circumstances lead people to do with their lives. Lavanya and Anjali both are trapped in a place from where there is almost no escape. Sad but true that girls like them are not accepted to be someone's wife, sister or mother while the men who visit them live a with friends and family.
So shyam wanted to talk but was so scared that he ran away. But why do I feel that he will be back for the talk.
Who is shashi trying to protect???? And Akash is slowly but surely falling for Khushi. Waiting to read more of this interesting story.

I read this last night, but my computer started acting up, so I couldn't comment. So if it wasn't Anjali, then is that Payal? But why would Shashi not talk about who caused the accident? Mysteries. Devyani honestly scares me. Sometimes people's evil inner self shows on their faces,I think that's the case with her. But come on, V, Meryl Streep ? I know she can look downright evil, but she's beautiful. No offence, I was just shocked that's all. Your cast- wow! Shyam looks like an innocent angel,which I guess he is. And Padmalaxmi for Anjali- loved that. Just a question- is Anjali related to Payal? Or anyone else in the story?
