Khushi walked in gingerly, lost in her trance, stopping right in front of his desk, admiring his style, looks

Arnav who was all the while busy, instantly snapped shut the file, which brought Khushi out of her trance; he looked up at her straight in the eye. Khushi not being able to take the intensity of his looks gulped down and averted her gaze and started looking down. She started playing with the ends of her dupatta.

Arnav looked up, keenly observing her, his gaze roaming up and down, taking in her form, she was decently dressed in a salwar suit, and she looked innocent, simple and naive to him unlike the other girls around him who believed in exposing their assets. She was the type of girl whom his Di, and Nani would ideally prefer for him. She was beautiful, perhaps too good for him, wait where did that thought pop out from, why was he even thinking of pairing himself with him, she was just not his type.

Khushi feeling like she was under some scanner, did not meet his gaze, shifting her weight from one foot to other, trying to hide her anxiousness, she reminded herself to keep breathing, just for the heck of survival, it felt as if all her senses had voluntarily shut down.

She slowly lifted her luscious lashes, and looked up at him meeting his intense gaze.

Damn he was blown away!! He hadn't seen such beautiful hazel eyes ever, there was something about her hazel eyes, innocence combined with immense love maybe. He just had to practically avert his gaze from her eyes cursing under his breath rather loudly; no, he couldn't get carried away.

And at the other end Khushi was just lost in the moment, blinking dreamily at him, his eyes chocolate brown eyes bore right into her soul. Her mouth slightly hung open, desperately wanting the moment to never end, somewhere in back of her mind she kept herself constantly reminding, do not let a single drop drool fall out of your mouth and spoil the epic moment. Her breathing started getting shallower by the second.

Though it felt like an eternity and sent her mind dizzying but the fact was their eye lock was short, because Mr. Hottie had to shift his gaze, she thought pouting a little.

Arnav knew there was something special about this girl, as he felt himself being attracted to her, and he couldn't afford let his guard down, time to put up the ASR facade.

He took a few seconds to calm himself up, and then looked straight to her face, his face not giving away any emotions.

He motioned her to take a seat, in a strictly professional tone he spoke, "Ms Gupta you are well versed with your duties here in AR, we at AR are give utmost importance to work, so i would not tolerate any leniency when it comes to work".

Khushi nodded in affirmation being fully aware of how much of a hard taskmaster he was, because half of her life she had spent googling and picking up information about his small likes and dislikes.

Khushi tried to be normal in front of him, but only she and her Devi Maiyya knew what ounce of control it took her to behave properly in front of him given her hearts constant dhak dhaks. Khushi sneakily switched on her phones recording button, so that she doesn't miss out on any of his instructions, given her state right now, she could melt into a puddle any moment, as she kept nodding her head not paying attention to what was being said, her mind constantly drifting and noticing his calm, husky but powerful his voice, noticing the small scar right above his eye, her gaze shifting towards his sensual lips as he kept on instructing her.

"So...that's it, now, can you get me cup of coffee?"

Khushi with a beautiful smile adorning her face, just kept on nodding, lost in her own world, not being aware of what was being said.

"Ms Gupta get me a cup of coffee", he repeated himself.

Khushi just nodded, not moving in inch from her seat, too lost in admiring her crush's features.

"Ms Gupta, I asked you to get me a DAMN COFFEE", he said gritting his teeth, his voice a pitch higher enough to knock Khushi out of her trance.

Khushi flinched a little,"I'm sorry, I'll get it S-sir", she fumbled a little while getting up from the chair, and swiftly left his cabin, desperately in need of some air.

Khushi moved towards the pantry and started making him coffee, he was more handsome in reality than he looked in magazines or television, and his lips were so kissable, she just blushed at that thought, Devi Maiyya why do you have create such irresistibly sexy specimen? Now how was she supposed to survive in AR, and not lose her sanity being this close to him she wondered.

She took the coffee and started towards his cabin, knocked and entered, she found him discussing something important with Aman, she briefly smiled at Aman in acknowledgement. Damn this dhak dhak, it started again, she rolled her eyes cursing under her breath. She moved forward and bent slightly to hand him the coffee, as caught a whiff of his powerful cologne, crashing down her senses, she involuntarily closed her eyes and inhaled.

He tried to take the coffee from her hand, his hand slightly brushing her hand, both felt current pass through bodies with the brief contact, Khushi snapped open her eyes meeting his eyes, as she left her hands and dropped the mug to the floor making a crashing sound.

Aman flinched at the crashing sound, there it goes again! The famous ASR temper, poor soul had earned his ire on the first day of her job.

"What the hell !" Arnav swore rather loudly.

Arnav gritted his teeth, fisting his hands trying to control his now blazing temper, his eyes flared at her, this girl was testing his temper.

Khushi winced a little at the sound of the crash, "Oops!" was all she could manage to say. He was glaring at her with such intensity, she was surprised that she hadn't turned into a toast. She quickly came up with her apologies.

"I-I'm s-sorry Sir, you are too hot to handle"

"I mean the coffee not you"

"N-not you S-sir", she repeated herself

"Not that you are not h-hot, but the coffee was hotter..." she tried to correct herself, at which he raised an eyebrow, and narrowed his eyes at her.

"I mean the c-coffee, coffee was too hot to handle", as she went on fumbling with the words, fidgeting with her dupatta. Now, wanting the earth to open up and swallow her whole.

"What the", he uttered, Arnav's expressions suddenly changed from angry to bemused to amused.

Aman watched his boss's change of expressions and tried to stifle his laughter.

By now all the anger vanished from his face, as a sexy smirk replaced it, Arnav was well aware of the effect he had on women, but this girl was different , he could not stop noticing how cute she looked right now fidgeting, a cute frown adorning her face, nose slightly scrunched up.

Khushi cursed her luck, and yelled up to the heaven in her heart, Why Devi Maiyya? Why me? ?

"I'll clean it up Sir", she said in a low voice, as she started picking up the pieces from the ground.

"It's okay Ms Gupta, the cleaner will do it, you can leave now", he said smirking a little, in a much calmer tone.

Khushi apologised once again, and tried to walk out, as she smacked right into the glass door, "Oww!" she hissed, rubbing her nose, before she opened the door and stumbled out on unsteady steps.

Arnav turned towards Aman, "Where do you find these pieces?" he asked incredulously.

To which Aman just shrugged his shoulders, and they burst out laughing.

Gods were surely gunning for her, as she felt, as if the whole blasted universe was conspiring against her, trying to ruin her dream, right now any prospects of remotely being romantically linked with him were being mercilessly hacked to death.

"Devi Maiyya, now he is surely going to think I'm some kind of a freak", she held her head in frustration and plonked herself down on the seat of her desk.
