Chapter Eight :

Sharru and Nishi... Awww. <3

That was lovely, but why was Nisha so reluctant to love in return?

And Sharman blamed himself in the end...so what did he do to her?

I keep thinking some of the mystery may get solved, or that I may get a clue somewhere, but no, I'm still as clueless as I was as to what exactly happened.

Payal - gotta love her! And Akash too, for finally standing up for what is right, and leaving Shantivan too! I'm glad these two have a spine here.

The best part for me were the ending lines exchanged between Akash and Nisha. Hard-hitting , but such truthful lines.

Chapter Nine :

The first part - you can so obviously notice how ingrained Khushi is in the life of Arnav. Even while talking with Nisha, he keeps making constant references of Nisha's reactions with that of Khushi's...boy, if these two get married, god help them!

The rest of the family isn't really happy with this alliance, but they can't really go against Nani, hence are neither accepting nor are they alienating Nisha. That's what I made out from they way they received her. Uh-Oh. Exactly how does Nani plan on grooming Nisha? Trouble.

I loved the HP part. Nisha is similar to Khushi that way, then. Its just that all that compassion has been bottled up inside her.

I like the idea of the Author's Note after a regular interval. :)

Helps clear doubts, and also makes me know if I'm on the same page as you of not regarding the overall story. :)

Dus ka dum!!! Ten chapters done.

Chapter Ten :

The pain in the beginning was palpable.

So much pain Khushi struggles with , and she has denied herself the stars too. They used to be such an integral part of her, her confidants , apart from Devi Maiyya herself, and to know that she has let go of such an integral part of herself...is heart-breaking.

Armaan and Nisha's convo...such deep seated hatred between once best friends...what in the world happened for such a situation to arise?

Arnav is seriously still living in his past...and it will affect his future too if he can't come to terms with it. Nisha has a lot to figure out about this man, and about Khushi too, but knowing more about them isn't going to be easy either.

I loved all the flashbacks Rae. The dance sequence, I could picture it vividly as I read it.

And the other one from the prologue - brilliant.

Chapter Eleven :

Nisha is just like Arnav in so many ways. So many layers are there to her character!

And the way they all peeked out in this chapter, from the stubborn and cold exterior in the beginning, to the submission to doing whatever Arnav wanted, to the helplessness at the party, to the hurt that she felt when she faced her past again...there is so much more to Nisha than what meets the eye.

Beneath that cold exterior, she too longs for someone to love her, and cherish her...and a chance to come to terms with her past as well.

Sharman...can't really form an opinion of him so soon, can I ? I need to know more about his character to form one. :)

All four of them are not able to move ahead in their lives, and neither are they able to forget what has plagued them in the past. Such pain. And this is just the tip of the iceberg Rae.

Off to read Chap 12 with a heavy heart.

Chapter Twelve :

Yes. Its hurts real bad when a best friend splits with you. And that too when you had so much in common , and when you knew the person for most of your life. Its quite evident, the strength in their relationship , and to see it have become so hostile between the two of them again makes me again think about what happened in the past, to have altered things so drastically.

Now Payal - I love her for loving her sister so much. The one who would fight against anyone for her sister, who she knows is innocent. Why oh why wasn't the one on the show given a spine? The only time I saw Payal having a spine in the show was during the farmhouse incident when Arnav beings back Khushi after saving her. :)

Arnav, take the advice dear. Its not just you, but a whole number of other people being affected due to your silence. But again, as he said, its his mother. And there are no second choices for him when it comes to his mother, right?

I can't wait to read the rest!!

Chapter Thirteen :

I love old hindi songs. There's a different magic prevalent in them...which affects me even now. :)

A mother's heart, her fears and her love. This is what this update was about, apart from that small peek into Sharman and Nisha's lives.

And speaking about them, Armaan n Nisha decided to NOT fall in love, and this decision is a reaction to whatever happened to their parents. So again, what is the past that resulted in this decision? Poor Nisha, she apologized - how will Armaan react now?

The Garima here is the perfect mother anybody would want. She truly understands what Khushi is going through, and not only that, she also accepts that the pain will remain, in some for or the other, always, if nothing is done about it now. With this one chapter, I'm in love with Garima. :)

Chapter Fourteen :

Its clear now why the friendship turned between the Siamese twins. Armaan would obviously be livid, if someone he had promised to be with, to help his whole life ignored him and took off all of a sudden. But why did Nisha run away so abruptly?

The past with Nisha's parents has scarred her in such a deep way that she can't really trust someone, how much ever she may try. Sharman is so understanding here, though in the end he did mention that he made her throw all her defenses away , and left her alone. :\

Awww...the irony. Poor Arnav. Poor Nisha.

Ab inke dil ko thoda sa aaraam de do Rae. They're all suffering so much! :(

My fav lines in the update -

"She was a neurosurgeon after all - precise clean cuts were her life."

"Every romantic movie she had seen had just been proved wrong."

"He remembered when he had put them on her on that Diwali night...the first time he had touched her without rage, contempt - fake but there."

Loved all of these. I would actually quote the entire update as my fav, but that wouldn't be right.😆

Chapter Fifteen :

Poor Nisha - I really feel bad for her. Its so unfair, to be asked to give up something all the time. She has been forced to accept the alliance with Arnav, and now , nobody really cares for her and her wishes. Really unfair.

And the one person who should try and understand... is busy yelling at her. :\ Come on Arnav!!!

She's sacrificing a part of her , her independence, for this relation. And she sacrificed more in the past too. And yet, they want more from her. I don't like the fact that they want her to redeem her father's sins. So damn unfair.

Khushi is coming to Delhi. This, is not going to be an easy visit at all.

I'm rushing to read more Rae!! :)

And before I forget, the best lines for me here -

"At least something was going right in his life - he could still scare off people."

"She married Sharman, compromising on her views, and got burned.

She was marrying Arnav, compromising her independence - the call of which had made her leave Sharman in the first place, and she knew a crash awaited her."

"For Nani, she was the scapegoat, for Di just another person but for Maamiji, Mamaji, Akash and Payal - she was the enemy."

Let me just add the fact that I liked that Arnav knows its his fault, and he realizes that only Payal blames him, while the family doesn't.
