Chapter 2 (b): Night before the match

The whole gang is present at Taayam's house. Girls are gossiping amongst themselves. Swayam is discussing some last minute strategies with the boys. Rey was listening to Swayam but his eyes were searching for her desperately.🤔 Nil, Bharat, Vicky and Amar noticed it.

All four: Rey! Rey! Abey sun na!!!😡

But Rey was not paying attention. Only when Swayam spoke a little loudly does he come back to his senses.

Swayam: Mr Reyaansh Singhania😡😡

Rey (A little annoyed): Ha ha kya hua? Kyun chilla raha hai?😡

Swayam: Main yahaan strategies discuss kar raha hun aur tu hai ki dhyaan nahi de raha hai. Kya soch raha hai?😒😒

Rey( in a little impatient manner): Taani ko dhund raha hun yaar!😔

Swayam gives a puzzled look. Nil, Bharat, Vicky and Amar are first shocked. Then they look at each other and silently raise their hands indicating CHEMISTRY!!!😆😃😆

Swayam (Confused): Vo apne room mein hai, kaam kar rahi hai.😕

Rey: Kaisa kaam?😳

Swayam: Arre yaar vo AVP ne kuch reports banaane ko kaha hai, to vo bana rahi hai... Par tu aise kyun puch raha hai?

Rey(puzzled): Par usne to mujhe kisi bhi report completion ke bare main kuch nahi bataya.😕😕 Aur vaise bhi (looking at Swayam), kisi bhi event hone ke baad report banaane ka kaam to CS ka hota hai. To vo kyun kar rahi hai?😡😡

Swayam: I know ki as CS reports banana meri responsibility hai, par if you notice, main tum logon ki help kar rahan hun, so she agreed to make them. (Pauses) Vaise tu bada enquiry kar raha hai, aakhir baat kya hai?😉

Rey: Kuch nahi bas aise hi... In fact mujhe uski help karni chahiye, akele kitna sambhaalegi...😳

The rest of the boys look at each other and again do CHEMISTRY...🤪🤣

Rey and Swayam look at them. Their hands are still in the air...

Reyam: WHAT??🤓

The boys put their hands down quickly and quickly nodded "nothing"...🤪

Rey (giving them a stern look): AGS hun. Itni to responsibility banti hai ki main uski help karun. (and goes from there)😡

Rey goes to Taani's room and knocks on the door. She opens it and finds him standing there. Both stare at each other

(LLHH and TR BG).

Suddenly the whole gang laughs loudly, making both of them come to their senses.

Taani (Rudely): Kya hai??😡

Rey is surprised by her sudden rudeness. However, he quietly asks her

Rey: Main kuch help karun?😳

Taani: help.. as in..😕

Rey: Swayam ne mujhe bataya tha ki tum kuch reports bana rahi ho, to maine socha ki main tumhari help kardun😊😊

Taani looks at him shocked. Her mind suddenly went blank.😲😲

Taani (Thinking): Ye kya maine sahi suna hai ya mera veham (Illusion) hai!!! Rey meri help karna chahte hai.😲😲 Vaise to ladne aur arguements ke liye bahaane dhundte hai..😡 par ye meri help karna chahte hain.😲 (Looks up). Hey Krishna Ji, Inhe help karne dun ya nahi... Kuch samajh mein nahi aa raha hai ki kya karun...🤔

Rey (Waving his hand in front of her face): Hello... Ms GS.. Do you need any help?🤔

Taani then comes back to her senses and answers back rudely

Taani: Nahi. Mujhe aapki koi madad nahi chahiye. Main khud kaam kar sakti hun. Ab aap mujhe disturb mat kijiye mujhe baut kaam karna hai😡😡

She forcefully tries to shut the door on his face but Rey stops it. The impact is so strong that Taani slips. She was about to fall when he catches her in his arms.

(LLHH and TR BG)

Rey gazes into her warm brown eyes. He becomes totally mesmerised, thinking how beautiful she is. 😊Suddenly a light breeze passes through the window, because of which a lock of Taani's hair blows on her face. Rey catches it and gently places it behind her ear. This action of his made Taani shiver. She tightens her grip on Rey's shoulders and closes her eyes, breathing slightly harder.😳😳

Rey then puts her straight and sees that Taani's eyes are still closed. Rey smiles and whispers her name.😊 Taani slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. She felt the warmth in his eyes, making her blush.☺️☺️ He slowly lifted her chin and makes her look at him. 😊He slowly caresses her cheek, making her close her eyes and sending a shiver down her spine.😳 He sees her lips quivering and slowly goes near her face. She starts breathing harder, feeling his warm breath on her face.😳😳 Suddenly...

Swayam (shouting): Taani kahan ho?? Kaam ho gaya to aa jao dinner karne

Taani and Rey come back to their senses. Rey quickly lets her go and rushes to the washroom, pretending to wash his hands.

Taani (Still dazed): Huh... haan bhai aa rahi hun...😲😲

Swayam: Aur Rey ko bhi bulalo

Taani: Thike bhai

Rey (thinking annoyingly): Ye Swayam bhi na... abhi hi chillana zaruri tha kya... kabaab mein haddi..😡😡

After dinner, the whole gang leaves except Rey as Swayam had insisted him to stayback. Rey agrees and goes into the house.

In Swayam's room:

Rey is sitting on the bed, thinking about the match next day.😔 Swayam was having his "mushy-mushy" talks with Sharon.😃😃 After what seemed like hours, he hung up the phone and was about to switch off the lights when he noticed a nervous Rey.

Swayam: Dude, you ok??😕

Rey: Sort of!!! I mean, very nervous about tomorrow.😔

Swayam (Reassuringly): Don't worry dude. Hum ye match zarur jeetenge. After all, is match se hum Wellims ko hi nahi, balki AVP ko haraayenge.😉😉

Rey: Aur dance ko vaapis college mein laayenge... Chal lets sleep, big day tomorrow.😊🥱

Swayam: you're right. Chal gud nite!😊

Rey: Gud nite!😊

Swayam went to sleep, but Rey was unable to sleep. He was thinking about Taani, her deep brown eyes, her innocent smile and her bubbly nature. He became restless and got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to drink some water.

While returning, he saw that Taani's room's door was open. He went to close it when he saw her curled up and in a deep sleep. He was totally mesmerized by her innocence and beauty. He quietly went near her, covered her with a bedsheet and gently kissed her forehead.😳 He then returned to Swayam's room and laid down to sleep.

Rey (Thinking): Gosh! Itna cute koi kaise lag sakta hai... Kaash vo hamesha ke liye meri ho jaaye. (Then looking up) Hey Taani ke Krishna Ji!! plz help me, kal ke match ke liye aur Taani ko hamesha ke liye meri banaane ke liye. Taani, gud night, sleep tight and sweet dreams.

Then Rey slowly drifts into a peaceful sleep, dreaming about her.🥱
