Nani wondered why it was taking Arnav & Khushi so long to come down?
Nani: Akash bitwa,why r Chhotey & Chhoti bitiya not here yet. What's taking them so long?
Akash: No idea,dadi.
HP: Do u want me to call them,Naniji?
Nani: No HPji. Plz serve lunch on the dining table. I'll call them myself.
She calls them loudly.
Arnav responds almost immediately.
Arnav: Coming nani..!
Nani: They'll b here shortly. Rakshit babu, Namrata bitiya, plz come & have lunch.
Rakshit: Yes. And I would also like to meet my would-be saale babu before having lunch!
Nani: U can meet him even while..
She stops when she sees ArShi descending the stairs.
Nani(smiles): Here they come-ur would -be saale(BIL) & salaayini(SIL)!
Rakshit & Namrata stand up to greet them.
Arnav is quite shocked to see them but he doesnt show it.
On the other hand,it is very evident from Khushi's expressions that she's shocked & nervous,both.
Rakshit & Arnav shake hands while Namrata hugs Khushi.
Namrata: How r u?
Khushi: Fine. And.. u?
Namrata: I was fine but I'm much better now after seeing u! I'm so glad to meet u! U know what? I was dying to meet u ever since bhabhi told me about u!

She doesnt say anything further.

Rakshit(looking at Anjali): Is that so?
Arnav is quite happy to see Anjali blushing the moment Rakshit looks at her.

Everyone is stunned to hear Khushi's question.

Rakshit: I would love to! (looks at Khushi) but.. I dont think it'll b possible today since.. we gotta go to Noida from here.
Namrata is quite shocked with Rakshit's reply.
Rakshit: So.. some other time!
Arnav: Ya,sure!
Nani: Today u'll get to taste food made by my Anjali bitiya! U'll b having that on a regular basis in future,I know.. But I hope u'll like what she's made today.
Rakshit: For sure,naniji! I'm sure I will enjoy whatever Anjali has made!
Nani: In that case,plz come with me. Lunch has been served..

Everyone observed something or the other during the course of lunch.
Naniji observed that Khushi ate very less. And she was not her usual,jovial self.
Rakshit observed that Anjali's attention was less on her plate and more on her brothers.
Anjali observed that there was some tension between Akash & Arnav.
Arnav observed animosity between Khushi & Paayal & felt guilty.He decided to speak to Khushi about it after the guests left.
He also observed Rakshit,closely.
Khushi observed Namrata staring at her with a wierd expression on her face.
Akash observed that,all through lunch,Rakshit's eyes were only on Anjali. Even when he was talking to others.
Paayal observed that Khushi was trying to avoid her. If their eyes met by chance,she would quickly avert her gaze to her plate.
Namrata couldnt believe that the person sitting opposite to her was the same Khushi her bhabhi had told her about!

Rakshit & Namrata left for Noida shortly after lunch.
They both sensed the tension in the family and felt that it was best to leave.
Before leaving,however,Rakshit gave Anjali a small present.
Anjali: What is this gift for?
Rakshit: For the yummy lunch!
Anjali: Thanks a lot!
Rakshit: I wont lie-I'd got this for u from home. For the lunch,I.. wanted to give u something else! But.. I'm afraid I cant give u that right now!

Rakshit saw that the family,who were in the living room,pretended to be busy.
It was clear to him that they had been observing him & Anjali.

He came forward & kissed her forehead.
Anjali closed her eyes & reveled in the moment.
Rakshit(pats her cheek): Take care!

Anjali nods.

Namrata smiles cheekily and joins them at the door.

Namrata: What did u say bhaiyya,that's making bhabhi blush like a ripe tomato?
Rakshit glares at her.
At that moment they're joined by the Raizadas'.
Rakshit(to Arnav): My wish to meet u was fulfilled today! I'm so glad to have met u!
Arnav(smiles): Same here!!
Rakshit: I hope u're.. convinced now that.. ur di has selected the right life partner for herself!
Arnav turns to look at Anjali to find her looking expectantly at him.
Arnav(turning towards Rakshit): Of course!
Rakshit: If u're.. still having any doubt,u can get it cleared right now..
Arnav shook his head.
Rakshit: I know that u love ur di unconditionally! So its obsvious that u're worried for her. But I can assure u of 1 thing- I wont give u a single chance to complain! Ur di will live happily & safely with me,in my house,post r wedding! And talking about u,ur relationship with ur di will remain the same! No changes in it! My presence in Anjali's life wont create any distance between the 2 of u! U'll continue to hav the same amount of rights on ur di after r wedding as u're having right now! And of course,u'l b having a right on me as well!
Arnav smiles.

With that he stormed up the stairs.

Anjali(nods): Ya Chhoti. U may go. And Paayal,u also go & take rest for a while. I'll take care of the kitchen.
Paayal: No di. Now u must take rest. U've been in the kitchen since this morning. I'll take care of the chores.
She went towards the kitchen.
Anjali: Akash,I..
Akash(interrupts): Di I need to go back to office.. I'll go & change.
He also left immediately.
Anjali gave a worried look to nani.

Nani: I know. Chhoti bitiya was looking so pale & dull today. She didnt even have lunch properly.

Nani: Chhoti bitiya was absolutely quiet during lunch.Even she didnt speak much.
Anjali: Did u notice,nani? The moment I started speaking to Akash,he avoided the conversation & went upstairs.
Nani(nods): And Chhotey called Chhoti bitiya to their room.
Anjali: I think we need to talk to Chhotey & Akash..
Nani: But Akash bitwa is leaving for office.

Khushi rests her head on Arnav's chest & wraps one around his neck, clutching his shirt.
Arnav wraps both his arms snugly around her & plants a lingering kiss on the top of her head.

She closes her eyes.
Khushi(thinks): Today u can listen to Arnavji's heartbeats as much as u want,Khushi. Who knows what will happen tomorrow?U may or may not get scha chance again..
Arnav: Khushi,stop talking to urself!
Khushi lifts her head to look at him.
Khushi(shocked): How do u know that I was talking to myself?

She pushes herself with the help of her elbows such that her face is at the same level as Arnav's.

In response,Khushi cups his face again & showers it with numerous kisses.
Then she traces his jaw with her soft fingers.

Khushi gets off him and lies down on the matress,on her back.
Arnav props himself on an elbow & holds her hands.
Arnav: Plz trust me! I wont let u down!
Khushi nods.
Arnav: I trusted u with the balm & see what I got in return- I've stopped sneezing!The same way,if u trust me,I will put all ur fears to rest!
Arnav kisses her hands,one after the other.
Arnav: I promise-Tomorrow night we both will b here,together in r room n on r bed!
Khushi doesnt say anything.
Arnav(looses his cool): Come on,Khushi! Say something dammit!

He gets up from the bed.
Khushi: Arnavji..
Arnav: Khushi u need to decide once & for all- U wanna trust me or u dont wanna trust me! Then finally u tell me ur answer in 1 sentence,which has no ifs or buts!
He sits on the recliner & opens his laptop.
Khushi walks upto him & places her hand on his shoulder.
Khushi: I trust u,completely!
Arnav(looks at her): R u sure?
Khushi:Absolutely! I wanna say something..

Khushi: Be patient tomorrow. Dont let ur anger rule u,hmm?

She walks back to the bed & lies down.
Arnav(thinks): U believe me blindly,Khushi! I told u just once that I will get Akash to sign on those divorce papers & u believed me! I told u once that I'm coming to babuji's house to pick u up & u believed me. Yes,u did tell me that u wont accompany me back to Shantivan,but u never told me not to come there. And today.. I told u to trust me & u agreed!(sighs) And me? U tried so many times to talk to me post r marriage,but I never listened to u. U told me to wait for Shyam at the airport but again I disagreed. I didnt believe u when u told me that u were innocent. Either I didnt listen to u or I did,but didnt pay any heed to ur words..
He makes a silent promise.
Arnav: I promise,Khushi- Henceforth I will listen to everything u say! No matter what I feel about it,but I will hear u out! And I will believe u the way u believe me!
He closes his eyes & Khushi's tear stricken face flashes in front of him.
The look of despair & sadness in her eyes as she stood outside the airport, pleading him to come back.
He opens his eyes & walks over to the bed.
Khushi opens her eyes when she hears his approaching footsteps.
Khushi: What now?
Arnav: Nothing. I just.. wanted to lie down for sometime.
Khushi: O.. Come..
She shifts a bit & Arnav lies down next to her.
