I guess this is what one calls a bridging episode, which opens up several new tracks, but does not advance too far down any of them, leaving many options for the future. I liked the sense of uncertainty, the feeling that many things lay hidden behind the facade of the narrative, or else were only dimly visible in the shadows.

There is the accident caused by Siddharth, who turns out to be Riya's potential devar. But who is the elder brother who fixes the case and gets Siddharth off? It is clearly not Karan, for Siddharth is afraid that he might get to know about it from Arjun. If there is yet another elder brother besides Karan, why is he not at the Mukherjees' with him and the rest of the family? Siddharth clearly spells future trouble, but to whom?

Mr. Mukherjee's injury was obviously caused in an encounter with Sikandar, for Arjun says ""Usse iss sab ki keemat chukani padegi sir.." he looked at Mr. Mukherjee's paralysed legs and Roshni's photograph, "zaroor chukani padegi.."This is another track that is only half visible as yet, but even so, this is progress, for there was nothing visible in Chapter 1, when I had noted your cryptic reference to it and sought clarifications in vain!

Riya and Arjun are still stumbling along in an emotional fog, the difference between them being that Riya knows her problem even if she will not acknowledge it, whereas Arjun does not at all understand what he feels, at least as of now. I do not see you making the fog lift any time soon, for then where would the conflict be?

All in all, nice going, and I shall wait patiently for the various threads to be unspooled a bit more. before risking any predictions.

PS: Whatever the fulminations of Arjun and Rathod against the vegetable vendor for caving in and refusing to press charges, the fact is that he must be thanking all his ishta devata for having made Siddharth drive so rashly and hit him. It must have been a bonanza for him.

CHAPTER 7

Amazing Chapter.Best part being when Karan said Arjun that riya was excited to meet him more than their engagement,Riya's uneasiness,Arjun looking at her.Arjun being Arjun, i mean the Akdu inspite of missing her & happy to c her back ,doesnt show up his feelings.Not very much was there in the scene but the way you presented was superb.
