Chapter Four: Questions! Too many to answer.
Nanhi and Ashi are sitting on the bed and thinking about the yesterday. Today they have a holiday because today is 26th January, Republic Day(as after 12'o clock of midnight it starts a new day). They are heard a lot from their Diya, Mashi and Mom about this day from when they have gained consciousness to realized the importance and speciality of this day. They are also very excited for today as they have decided to go to watch the republic Day Parade with their Diya , Mashi and Mom.But after yesterday's incident 'intelectual ' Nanhi smells something will be wrong. And this makes Ashi so tensed that instead of sleeping they start discussing about it with Nanhi.
Yesterday they were very happy to see their Mom at their school. She came very seldom to pick them up from school. This is their Diya'a dept. and she doesn't like anybody's interference on this matter. And Mitin also obeys her rules always .So it was a very enjoyable moment for them. But then they both had a 440volt shock to see that she got out from a unknown car with a''.They looked at each other and their mouth opened automatically so wide that 2 rossogollas could enter there easily. Nanhi broke the silence
Nanhi:Bilkul react mat kar.
Ashi:Par yeh toh'.
Nanhi:Dekh abhi ke liye chup kar, Mamma ko pata nai chalna chahiye ..kissi bhi cheez ke bare mein.
Ashi:Par Dude yahan kya kar rahe hai?
Nanhi:Don't know''but you change your face right now.
Mitin came to them and introduced Sid as her friends .Sid hugged them both and that time she was scared very much because Sid's eyes showed so much affection , care and love for her kids. Which she didn't like.
Sid:Hey my sweet angel and wise angel how are you?apne Dude ko miss kiya kya?
Nanhi and Ashi both gave him a stern smile and pointed to Mitin and requested him from their beautiful tiny eyes not to tell anything more. Sid understood. He turned to Mitin and laughingly said
Sid:Piu'even your kid didn't remember me and miss me. I am so unlucky. But never mind. I will recover everything with double interest.
Mitin; Stop calling me Piu, Sid(she tells very harshly)
Sid(wonders): But why??Your name is Piu no and'.
Mitin: My name is Pragyaparamita for you and for my family Mitin and for them(stretches her hand towards Ashi-Nanhi) Mamma(her voice choaked with pain)
Sid(stares at her for some moment and determinedly) :Piu'..You were, are and will be Piu for me forever and for all eternity. Okay kids lets go.Get in the car.
They got into the car. But Mitin this time sit on the back seats with Ashi. And Nanhi took place in front seat with her 'Dude'. Sid started the car and meanwhile took a look to backside through his backveiw mirror. He found that Mitin put her hand in Ashi's hair and waved it.Nanhi too watched the same but the extra part what she witnessed was Sid's expressions. His face, specially his eyes told how much he cared for them (Ashi,Mitin and Nanhi), how much affection he had for them(again the 3 masketiers). Then he sadly turned around and shared an eye lock with Nanhi. He shooked her chin and released the clutch and left. In their way he once asked them about refreshment but Mitin refused. Then he dropped them to their house and left. He didn't even get out of his car to bid her and Ashi good bye.
After that Mitin also remained silence and kept herself locked in her room. Sreeja knocked her door but Sagarika forbade her and took Ashi-Nanhi with her. Later in night Mitin joined with them in dinner and tried to be cheerful but her eyes described how much pain she bore then. Then she slept with her and Ashi sending Sreeja to her Mom. And she knew in midnight Mitin was crying silently hugging them both and then she fall asleep.
"Ashi..Nanhi'aj ka plan'"Mitin entered their room , calling their name and found them like a statue. She got surprised and asked
Mitin: Donon statue statue khel rahe ho?Mujhe bhi khelna hai'
Nanhi:No Mamma. Main toh sirf soch rahi thi''
Ashi:ha main bhi.
Mitin(frowned): Dono itni raat ko ek sath soch rahe ho?Kya?? aur kyun?? Yeh gahr jwalane ka irada hai kya ?
Ashi&Nanhi: Aap ko kyun lagta hai ki we are always up for mischief. Hum itne bude nahi hai.
Mitin:I know(comes to them and sit between ) Tum donon intelligent, active aur talented ho(hugs them tightly with her long arms)par utne achche bhi nahi ki tum donon ko akele 1sec ke liye v chhoda jaye.(pulls them on her lap and near to her heart)Aur main chhod newali v nahi '..
Ashi and Nanhi share an eye-lock which tells what is wrong with their 'Mamma". Because she took a day-off from her hospital which she has never done before. Sreeja went to hospital alone. Ashi-Nanhi have 3days holiday as something will be happened in their school may be annual sports preparation or foundation day function preparation. So Mitin spent her whole day with her kids and Pisi. Sagarika too guessed something wrong but never asked her because she knew how much emotional is she?? She needs to spend some moment alone , only with herself to find out the answers of those questions which pain her right now. Now she comes to their room to sleep with them!! This is also surprising to Ashi-Nanhi . They sleep together in separate a room after they completed 5years. But their Diya always accompanies them by any excuse which Mitin doesn't like. Mitin sleeps with them when they ask her or when they or Mitin become sad. As they doesn't ask her and they aren't sad then It must be Mitin's sadness which drew her to her daughters. Because for Mitin her two daughters are everything. Though she time to time tries to be tough with them she loves them very much in her heart. She treats them like two deer cubs who needs care and lessons as well to stand strong against this rude and heartless world.
Ashi:Mamma aapko kya hua?
Mitin:Kuch nahi Sohna'.kuch nahi'.(she starts crying)
Nanhi:Mamma'..
Ashi:Mamma'..
They both wipe her tears and ask
Ashi-Nanhi together: What happen Mamma??ab toh aap ko bolna he hoga''..kal bhi aap ro rahi thi aur aj v ro rahi ho'.humne kabhi aap ko rote huye nahi dekha''kya hua'batao'.
Mitin:Batayungi'.aj tum donon ko sab kuch batayungi'''par usse pehle tum donon mujhe yeh batao tum dono Sid ko kaise jante ho? Aur unhe Dude kyun bula rahe the??
They are shocked and again their mouth open too wide to consume two rossogollas at a time!!
