In the evening when Viren and Virat came home, indeed a very pleasurable surprise awaited them. They very extremely happy to see all their family in the same place: Pinky and Madan- Jeevika's parents; Dabbu-Jeevika's brother with his wife, Summi; Karan- Viren and Virat's cousin brother with his girl friend Maya; and the respective gorgeous wives were waiting for them in their cutely decorated apartment. Everybody greeted and hugged them. Jeevika's family was extremely happy to meet their daughter and son-in-law, they were meeting after Dabbu's marriage six months ago. Chachu, chachi and Dabbu were the sweetest and simplest people Manvi knew. She and Virat always looked up to them and spending time with them was very enjoyable to both. Everyone enjoyed the delicious Punjabi khana made by the sisters. Manvi was very content and happy that night looking at a beaming Virat, who along with Viren and Karan were pulling the newly wed Dabbu's leg, teasing him and calling him joru ka ghulam.

On the other side of the room she saw Jeevika chatting with Maya, Virat's ex and Karan's current. She never understood the dynamics of Karan's relationship with Maya. About a couple of months before they all went to Viren-Jeevika's wedding, Karan unaware of Manvi's feelings for Virat, professed his love and interest for her. Manvi politely refused explaining that she is already in love with someone else. As far as Manvi knew, Karan was a decent and well-mannered guy with good intentions. He was an extremely intelligent guy with a strong sense of business and he was very disciplined and goal oriented; he was like her in some aspects. She was very impressed by Karan's handling her rejection; he asked her to ignore everything as if nothing ever happened and he never brought out the issue again. Before and after her and Virat's marriage, he was their strongest support. He supported Virat financially to launch his company and is a major share-holder in VSGG even now. Although, she suspected that Karan secretly still liked her, Manvi never told Virat about Karan's proposal as it might bring coldness between the loving brothers. She did not want to complicate the only family relationship Virat had outside Chandighar and she believed Karan to be a perfect gentleman.

Maya on the other hand was a cold-hearted bitch, Manvi never liked her and after how dejected she left Virat, she was never able to forgive her and was very vocal in her opinion about Maya. She was always wary and paranoid about Maya's coming back into their life as Karan's girl friend. When Karan asked her and Virat if it was okay to date Maya, Virat just laughed and sarcastically said "Good luck with that!!" whereas Manvi warned him and asked him to be careful: "I know you can take care of yourself but I have seen and experienced the damage Maya is capable of, I would stay away from her if I were you, but it is your call anyway." It has been a few months now, Karan and Maya seemed happy outwardly, but Manvi never let her guard down especially when she is around Virat. As far as Virat was concerned, initially being around Maya was awkward and it brought back bad memories but he got used to it and he had come a long way with Manvi to be worried about such trivial things. As running into Maya was unavoidable with her shadowing Karan everywhere, Virat and Manvi learned to be civil with her but they were never able to, or tried to have anything more to do with her.

Everybody were busy chatting, bombarding Viren and jeevika with questions about her in-laws in India and Viren's work. After this continued for a couple of hours, Virat got drinks for everyone and also got his guitar out. He, Viren and Karan had a small band kind of thing since they were kids and continued their respective instruments even thought they drifted apart location wise and couldn't play together often. Viren was a pianist and Karan a good with the drums. They started singing and playing. Manvi and Jeevika sang along. They forced Dabbu and Summi to dance and then Madan and Pinky were pushed into the center. The other three couples also danced taking turns- Virat was being very romantic slow dancing with Manvi to ishq wala love, whispering the song into Manvi's ears. After all the dancing and singing, everyone left saying that they had a great time and planned to meet up again soon before Viren and Jeevika left to India.

It was almost 1:00 AM and Virika and Virman crashed on the couches and lay there tired of all the dancing around.

Virat resting his head on his wives shoulder: "I am so tired and I have a 7:00 AM meeting tomorrow. God I wish the weekend would never end. This was the best weekend in ages"

Viren, Jeevika and Manvi also commiserated to this and they both couples retired to their respective rooms.

In Virat's room, both of them changed and in bed.

Virat: "Manvi, let us all go for a vacation, all four of us. I want to spend the maximum amount of time with bhai before he leaves."

Manvi moving close to Virat, resting her head on his shoulder and one hand over his chest and curling towards him: "Sounds great Virat. Let us think about it more and decide where to go tomorrow. We will plan a great trip. WOW..I am so excited now."

Virat putting his hand over under her neck and turning towards her on his side and looking into her eyes: "Waise my wife has become quite a party planner. Right?? I loved your surprise today, sweetheart. You always find ways to make me happy every day. What have I done to deserve you??" He slowly leans in towards her lips and says "acche se thank you bolna toh banta hai"

Manvi looks down almost blushing and then gives a thinking pose with her finger in her chin: "Haan, woh toh hai, kiya hoga thoda punya pichle janam main. Kisi macchar koh bachaya tha kya?? Yaa kisi chuhe ko' " Virat stops, shakes his head "...kya?? Manvi!!!..." "100 ways to kill your husband's mood..kithab likho tum" "tumari toh main.." and starts tickling her. Manvi being the overly ticklish person she is, starts laughing like a kid, water in her eyes curling herself into a fetus like position with folded hands to escape him: "stop it Virat..sorry..sorry mere patidev.." Virat also laughing stops and pulls her in strongly so that she is below him now; looks into her eyes, with untold amount of desire in it; leans in slowly again and starts kissing her lips and pining her in that position, with his hands over hers, pushing his whole body over hers, more and more as his kiss engulfs her mouth more and more. Manvi taken aback by this sudden passion, responds equally and they make sweet sweet love.

In Viren's room, Jeevika calls home and Vanshika answers. They exchange pleasantries and Jeevika gives the phone to Viren.

Vanshika: "Beta, Virat kaisa hai?"

Viren puzzled looks at Jeevs as his mother has not talked about Virat since dadaji asked them all to forget about him: " Maa, aapko kaise''''??"

Vanshika: "Maaa hoon, pata hai ki tu waha ja kar nahi rah payega"

Viren: "Virat bahut accha hai maa. I am very happy and proud to see him. He has completely changed. He has become very very responsible maa. He has made his career and is soaring high in the sky with success. He is not like the old kiddish brat we know, he has become very mature maaa..infact kabhi kabhi use dekh kar shocked rah jata hoon."

Vanshika: "Aur Manvi??"

Viren: "Manvi bhi acchi hain mom, she is a doctor now. In dono ki life mein agar kuch kami hain toh woh hain aap ki or ghar walon ki mom. Virat yahan hum sab ko bahut miss karta hain. Woh kal bahut emotional ho kar bol raha tha, it pains us to see him like that mom...kya hume..."

Viren hears a disconnection and realizes his mother could not listen anymore so had hung up. He feels sorry..Jeevika places her hand on Viren's shoulder and they look at each other helplessly.

Viren: "We have to do something Jeevika, we need to unite these two puppies with the family"

Jeevika sighs and agrees. "Haan Viren, we are the only ones who can do this."
