Chapter 10B
The sudden realization that they had both committed to be with each other for eternity came crashing down on them..
Arjun's heart swelled with love for the woman in his arms.. And now the fact that she had agreed tobe his, gave rise to a primal desire somewhere within him..
His hands resting on her waist slowly traveled up her backand he drew her even closer leaving hardly any space for air to pass between them.. His fingers lay still against the fabric of her dress with his eyes fixed on hers..
A soft gasp left Riya's lips when she felt his fingers movelazily over her back.. Her fingers cupping his face, slowly trailed down, grazing the skin at his collarbone and finally rested on both shoulders..
The falling rain droplets refused to douse the fire that was slowly spreading around them.. They both were partially aware of their surroundings..
They were standing right in the middle of his garden, soaked in the rain, with water droplets traveling down their already drenched bodies..
Yet, strange enough, they weren't cold..
Arjun's touch was playing havoc on her already frenzied senses
She closed her eyes momentarily and recollected his honestconfession a while ago..
An hour back, she wasn't sure if she wanted to take the next step before the sacred fires bound them together.. However, she didn't doubt the sincerity and the silent promise he had made by placing his chain around her neck.. He'd said it once belonged to Roshni; and now that it lay wound around her neck, she truly understood her importance in his life..
She would patiently wait for the day when he would officially make her Mrs. Arjun Rawte.. She knew someday, he would..
But what about the matter at hand.. She knew he was waiting for her to make a move.. He was offering her a chance to back out if she wanted to.. The ball was in her
court now..
She considered moving away; she knew him well enough to believe that he wouldn't be offended by her decision simply coz he loved her way too much..
But one whiff of his musky cologne, and she realised she'd be a fool to push him away at the moment.. Because, whatever this was.. the emotional connect and the sexual attraction wasn't merely physical.. The roots went deeper..
Her eyelids slowly opened and her eyes met his.. She had made up her mind..
Arjun beamed proudly at the woman in his arms when he felt her fingers grip his shoulders.. He brought a hand in between them and swept wet hair away from her face..
Jaadu hai nasha hai..
Madhoshiyaan..
Tujhko bhulake ab jaaon kahan..
She raised her chin and felt his lips press against her softand damp forehead.. He felt her press against his muscular form and the hand ather back gripped her tighter..
His eyes were fixed on hers as he continued toplant tender kisses along her forehead..
Dekhti hain..jis tarah se.. teri nazrein.. mujhe..
Main khudko chupaon kahan..
Her knees were giving away and a heady sensation flooded her senses at the same time.. Her palm that had rested on his right shoulder, now gently cupped his face..
He tore his lips from her forehead and tenderly kissed her fingers..
She felt her head being tilted backwards as he cradled it in his large palm.. He kissed her eyelids shut and pecked the tip of her nose..
Jaadu hai nasha hai..Madhoshiyaan..
Tujhko bhulake ab jaaon kahan..
A second later, his lips were pressed against hers, slowly drawing in her lower lip.. Her fingers went up to his damp hair and she tugged at it slowly..
He kissed her as gently as he could, pouring in all his love and admiration for the love of his life.. He felt her respond to his caress and deepened the kiss, parting her lips...
A surge of pleasure shot up her spine, the moment he tasted her.. She fiercely tugged at his head, pulling him closer if that was even possible..
Arjun gripped her head tighter, gently fisting her hair and slowly slid their bodies to the damp grass..
As she reclined full length, with his torso slowly shifting atop hers, blades of grass poked and tickled her back, giving rise to pleasurable sensations she had never felt before..
He kissed her senseless and parted from her only when he felt her wriggle beneath him.. She threw her head back into his palm when he released her lips..
She inhaled a deep breath of the fresh cool hair, attempting to soothe her throbbing nerves.. However, her relief was short lived..
His lips had trailed down to her neck planting moist kisses on the way..
Yeh pal hai apna..
toh iss pal ko jee le..
Sholon ki tarah..
Zara jal ke jee le..
She tugged at his hair and pulled him up for yet anotherkiss.. He nuzzled his nose against hers and captured her lips yet again, notdisappointing her..
Pal jhapakte kho na jana
Chuke karlo yakeen..
Na jane yeh pal paayein kahan..
He kissed her more tenderly this time, relishing the feel of her soft lips against his.. He felt her smile against him and parted from her half-amused..
She saw him raise a brow at her quizzically and nodded her head, smiling.. Arjun couldn't help but smile at her innocent gesture..However, her next moves made him rethink if she was really that innocent!
Her index finger traced the contour of his face and she grabbed his collar, pulling him closer.. Arjun looked on, and closed his eyes, when her lips pressed against his Adam's apple..
He hooked an arm under her knees while the other wound around her back.. Her hands flew around his neck sensing his next move..
He picked her up ever so lightly, occasionally looking into her eyes for any signs of discomfort or hesitance.. He needed to know if she was ready to take the next step.. Because both knew, they was no turning back after that..
She sensed his dilemma and lightly pecked his cheek, erasing out any apprehensions on his part..
Baahon me teri
Yun kho gaye hain..
Armaan dabe se
Jagne lage hain..
He cradled her in his arms and walked along the path lined withhis favorite red roses..
They reached the doorstep and he rolled his eyes, motioning herto turn the knob..
She shook her <font size="2">head</font> at his impatience and unlocked the door.. He
stepped into the house, kicking the door shut behind them..
He felt her smile against his jaw and a lop-sided smile crept uphis lips as well..
She felt him take one step at a time as he climbed up thestairs, nuzzling into her hair every two seconds..
He kicked the room door open and she shut it with a gentle push..
Riya looked around the room and noticed that it now looked a lot more homely than it was in the morning..
He lay her down against the soft mattress and settled next to her..
She rolled on her side, facing away from him..
Her heart had started the marathon yet again.. He smirked at her antics and realised that she was probably nervous..
Yes, she was! She felt a weight shift behind her and glanced at him through the corner of her eyes..
She saw him rid himself of the wet shirt and blushed profusely as his muscular perfectly toned abs came into view..
He felt her eyes on himself and turned to her.. She looked away embarrassed..
He settled back next to her and drew a comforter, coveringthem..
Her back arched involuntarily, when she felt his fingers pull down thezipper that held her dress in place..
He wound an arm around her shoulder and made her lie on her
back..
Riya's eyelashes fluttered until their eyes met.. He leaned onto her and whispered into her ear,
Are you sure, Riya? The pizza's getting cold in the rain.."
She grinned at his cheekiness,
"Hmm.. Provided you treat me to a hot and cheesy one, tomorrow morning.."
He rolled his eyes and hers popped out of their sockets..
My God! Did ACP Arjun Rawte just blush??!!
She wound her arms around his neck, reaffirming her intentionsand her faith in him..
Jo mile ho.
Aaj humko..
Door jaana nahi..
Mitaado saari yeh dooriyaan..
Arjun knew he had it to take it slow with her.. She had floored him by placing immense trust in him, tonight..
He pecked her forehead and whispered,
"Riya, you sure tumhe pizza nahi khana, hai na? We can still go eat it, if you want to.."
She knew the pizza was just pretense.. She looked into his eyes and couldn't help but admire him more with each passing second.. He was giving her ample opportunities to back out if she wasn't comfortable with the course of events..
A lot had transpired between them since she had stepped out of his car this evening.. Her heart and mind had finally come to the same conclusion just a while ago..
She didn't want to think about what implications the step would have on their future; she had already made up her mind..
But one thing she was sure of; she trusted him and would never regret a single moment spent with him ever until her last breath..
She lightly nodded her head and ran her fingers through his
hair, "I'm sure I won't regret not having eaten the pizza tonight, Arjun.."
There it was.. she had amazed him yet again.. He smiled and leaned onto her,
"Thank you.. Thank you for coming into my life and completing me.."
She smiled and lightly pecked his lips,
"You're welcome.. But if you don't shut up, right away.. I might change my mind about having pizza.."
Arjun chuckled and captured her lips as his fingers worked on peeling off her soaked clothes..
She shut her eyes in bliss and let him lead her into oblivion, where the world would cease to exist for them.. It would only be them Arjun and Riya..
