He cursed his phone.
Arnav: This goddamn phone's battery had to get discharged today only! I made sure to pack all the things but forgot the charger at home! Unbelievable man!How do I speak to Khushi or Aman now?
He was about to curse himself when he got an idea.
He went into the cockpit of the chopper.
Arnav: David?
David(pilot): Yes sir?
Arnav: I need ur phone..
David immediately handed his phone to his employer.

David: Sir.. no sir.

David: Sir how will I hav ma'm's number?

He immediately cooled down and let out the breath that he was holding.
Arnav(in a normal tone): Khushi,I've been waitin since so long! Whats taking u guys so long?
Khushi: Naniji & di sent a lot of stuff. So how would amma-babuji & buaji carry all that? Hence Amanji called an auto for them.We started after they left.
Arnav: Okay!Aman did a good job!

Arnav was relieved to hear that.

Arnav's breath hitched as Aman held the door open & out stepped Khushi, looking as beautiful as ever in a yellow & orange anaarkali dress.
Khushi's eyes were misty and she blinked back her tears.
Arnav's eyes shone with glee as he found some of the orange bangles he had bought for her adorning her slender wrists.
The sight of those bangles sent him back in time,to the night before their first wedding..
*Flashback*
Arnav: Ask..
Khushi:Did u buy these bangles for me?
Arnav: Yup! I was the one who bought these bangles for u!
Khushi: Y?
*Flashback ends*
He didnt give her the answer that she wanted to hear back then.
He didnt tell her that he'd bought those bangles to make her happy.
He never knew that the sight of those bangles adorning her wrists would make him happy! Until.. he saw them on her wrists when she extended her hands to take prasaad.
Tonight,the sight of those very bangles made him super happy!
It was a stamp of his love,his first gift for his beloved that she was wearing!
And the fact that she wore it in his absence,told him how much she must have missed him!
She wore those bangles coz they reminded her of her husband.
It was this realization which made him super happy!

His eyes touched every part of her face.
He stopped at her eyes,which were puffy & swollen,with dark circles underneath.

Arnav: Didnt u sleep well last night?

Arnav(interrupts): Y?U didnt hav to stay awake & wait for my call last night.So u couldve slept well..

Khushi averted her gaze.

Khushi squealed as the pain in her ankle got worse.

She leaned on him.

Arnav helped her sit down on the seat while he sat down on the floor on his knees.
No sooner did Arnav touch her foot than a gasp escaped Khushi's lips.
