PART II
Arnav was greeted by a tearful Khushi at the wedding. He hugged her... Dadi was seething... Shyam was seething... Finally Dadi decided to reveal the truth just as Khushi and Arnav married and had finished the 7 phere... They were now taking blessings of their adults..
Subhadra looked at the positive side; marriage was over, so now its breaking would have more impact now... She saw a warning in Arnav's eyes, and decided to keep silent for the time being...
The marriage was smoothly done and over with. Everyone went home...
A few weeks later-
Dadi was on her way downstairs, still waiting for the right time to tell about Garima, when she heard a noise coming from Arnav's room. As she went closer, she heard sounds of vommitting. Someone was vomitting violently. She opened the door a wee bit, and caught a glimpse of Khushi wiping her mouth and coming out of the bathroom.
"Hey Davi Maiyya! What was WITH the vomitting...!" she said. "Yesterday night I was fine..." she said, blushing.
Subhadra's brow shot up. Could she be...?
Khushi exclaimed again. "Good GOD! Am I...?" Khushi stopped herself. That's not possible... She shrugged and started downstairs. Smirking to herself, Subhadra hastily went downstairs.
Everyone was already at the breakfast table. "So Khushiji...How was your first day...I mean NIGHT of marriage?" Anjali giggled, much to Shyam's annoyance.
Arnav looked away, and saw the look on Shyam's face. Smirking, he turned to his Di. "It was a memorable night Di...A very memorable night...Thank you for asking..." He enjoyed the look on Shyam's face, ignoring the others' amused looks.
He looked a Dadi, who was simply not looking in his direction.Khushi said suddenly, after having a bite of her poori, that she was going to the washroom. Nobody noticed that as she turned away, her hand had flown to her mouth. Well, nobody except Subhadra.It is time...she thought...
She got up from her chair, and announced. "I have something to say."
Everyone looked at her, including Arnav, who was trying to meet her eyes; she did not oblige, but continued. "What I am about to tell you, will shake you all up, and prepare for the worst..." she paused. "Well, I found the reason why this family is the way it is...!"
"What is there to find out?" NK cut in... "This family is obviously the way it because of Khushiji... Unhone ghar main maan laya hai!" {She has brought respect to the house}
"Maan nahi, JAAN!" Nani corrected. {Not MAAN, LIFE}
Dadi rolled her eyes. "I meant the past-"
"ENOUGH Dadi...!" Arnav's voice cut. "We have had this discussion before!" Arnav said through clenced teeth.
"You might forget your mother easily, but I cannot forget my son!" Dadi spat. She raised her voice, to prevent further interruption. "THAT SECOND WOMAN in my son's life was none other than the mother of this house's elder bahu!"
Everyone stood stunned. "WHAT?!" "What are you saying Sumi?"... a variety of responses came through. "Dadi is clever indeed,"Shyam thought.
"The truth.THAT KHUSHI's MAUSI GARIMA!SHE is the reason my son and his wife are dead!" Subhadra said, pulling out the photo. Everyone gasped.
Arnav's blood boiled. He was about to yell, when he noticed a downward movement to his left. He turned around to see Khushi falling to the floor.
"The truth.THAT KHUSHI's MAUSI GARIMA!SHE is the reason my son and his wife are dead!" Khushi heard Dadi say. Arnav looked like he had already known...everyone was shocked. Amma? HOw could Amma do this? And before she could analyze further, her vision went double and everything seemed to shrink and grow blur; she felt a pillar rub against her back, as she collapsed onto the floor, just in time to be caught by two strong hands.
PRECAP- "She is lying isn't she? PLease tell me she is lying..." she sobbed.
"Yes Khushi. She just misunderstood. Relax and go to sleep. In your condition, don't strain yourself too much."
Khushi lay back on her pillow, sniffling. NOTE: THOUGHT of just 2, but I think its gonna spill over to 4 or 5 parts... :P
