They were driving to the airport. The roads were so calm. It was only her voice around him.
'I missed Sharon too. We will go for shopping, movies..', she was mumbling excited. He interrupted her with, 'You wouldn't spend time with me like this again' glancing at her. Her voice numbed suddenly due to his words. 'I will always have time for you', she told more like whispered without giving him a look. 'It will be the opposite', he replied non-chalantly focusing back on the road. 'It will be you who is busy with office, files, your girl', she muttered angrily. 'My girl?', he questioned surprised with her taunt. 'Haan. Your office girl with whom you are laughing', she said glaring at him wanting to just strangle his neck for that moment she saw him in the office with her. 'She is just a worker in office Kria', he explained. 'And someone is jealous', he ended. 'I am not', she scorched. 'You are', he continued pulling her leg and they halted at the airport.
Swayam and Sharon were awaiting for them already. Kria hugged Swayam and he reciprocated and Sharon , Kria sat on the back seat going into their talks while Rey drived with Swayam seated beside him.
Rey stopped the car infront of Shikawat Mansion. Kria whispered good night to sleeping Sharon and got down the car. Swayam collected his luggage and went in after bidding adieu to Rey. 'Good Night', she said to Rey with a timid smile. 'You would be too busy from tommorow anyway', Rey concluded without replying her to wish. Kria looked away. 'Haina Kria?', he probed waiting for her to react. She surprised him by pulling him closer by holding the collar of the shirt.
'We will see who will get busy and who will have time', she answered confidently staring at his eyes. Her grip on his shirt only tightened when he pulled her closer by the waist.'I want to take you home', he whispered huskily and she couldn't help but feel warm. He leaned and her breath hitched in the moment. He paused just a breathe away from her lips and then kissed her, more like pecked her. He pulled back a little and his lips pressed on her cheek. He mumbled a sweet good night and he loosened her from his hold and took a step back. Darting her a glance with a smile, he walked back to his driving seat and left her confused.
'Kriya, I want to talk to you. Would you come over to our house once?' ,were the only words that continued to be in her mind since morning. What does Rey's dad want to talk with her? Why didn't Rey say something about it to her when he called her? Did Rey even know? Cool down Kria. You will get all the answers., she said to herself as she got ready in a simple Indian Outfit.
'Chale?', Swayam asked when he came into the room. 'Uff..don't be tensed', he chimed holding her hand.
'Rey won't be there mostly. He was in the office doing work when I came home and would have been there itself', Swayam said after her indirect questions of Rey. He halted the car and stepped outside and rang the bell.
Aisha opened the door and welcomed them with a warm smile. Kria found herself getting in ease.
'Kria..Gautam isn't at home. He will be here in half an hour. You guys can meet Sharon and Rey. They are upstairs', Aisha spoke sweetly.
She wanted to ask her on why Rey's dad wants to speak to her but she found herself saying, 'Okay Aunty'.
'Mujhse nahi hoga. I am not that patient. Mein Rey se directly pooch leta hun', she said once Aisha went back to the kitchen.
Swayam held her arm stopping her in trance.
'Fine. Ask him BUT Kria..why the hell are you so tensed about it?', he asked noticing her behaviour since the time she talked to Gautam in call.
'Patha nahi..I feel so much negative...mujhe bahut bad feeling aa rahi hain', she answered in a low voice and he just engulfed her in hug.
He soothed her hair whispering, 'You are over thinking. Aisa kuch nahi hoga' and she just nodded her head in approval and they broke the hug.
Kria felt relieved. Much better than how she was.
'Thanks', she whispered walking upstairs.
Swayam purposefully slowed down his steps wanting Rey and Kria to spend some time. Maybe it could make Kria positive and she wouldn't be in a low mood like she was for almost since morning.
Sharon stood by the window. She was calling someone when Swayam walked in slowly. His phone rang and that's when he realised she was calling him. Sharon turned around startled.
'Why are you so late?', she questioned glancing at him.
'You knew I would come', he asked surprised.
'Haan..Kria ne mujhe bathaya', she answered.
Wow. How could he even forget the bond these 2 share. He sighed walking to her.
'I was waiting for you', she mumbled much to his happiness.
He smiled.
'Waiting for me?', he asked closing the distance though he knew the answer.
'Yes', she replied loud enough and hugged him tightly and he cuddled her gently.
He kissed her hair feeling her back in his arms. It felt good.
She pulled back looking at him. He cupped her face caressing her skin and his lips melted down onto hers. He caressed her tender lips with his, her hand tugged at his hair kissing him passionately.
Kria found him lost as she stepped in. He had files and laptop infront of him kept for a work but he was staring at nothing in particular thinking over something. Kria smiled. Him sitting in the extreme side of bed did help her. She went behind him and closed his eyes with her palms. 'Sharon', he complained and she smiled even more. She leaned down a little and kissed his cheek giving him the right clue. He smiled. So, she did make it up to meet him. Just what he wants. He held her hands and pulled her infront of him and she didn't fail to notice how his looks changed more darker when he stared at her. He was puzzled with her look. Neat pony tail, top and jeans.
'Uncle wanted to talk to me and I shouldn't make a bad impression', she blurted because of the way he looked.
He smiled, one that reached his eyes. It made him content with the thought that she wanted to impress his dad. He closed down the laptop and pushed it aside making her a place beside him.
'Rey. What does uncle want to talk with me?', she asked. She was nervous, anyone could tell that easily.
'I don't know', he answered honestly holding her hand.
'What were you thinking about when I came?', she asked out of curiosity.
'We got a project. A project which we always wanted but we are just giving it a thought', he replied remembering the topic.
'Its a big one?', she questioned.
'A really big one from one of the top industries. There was a time when they rejected us because we were too small for them and now, they themselves came to us', he mumbled happily and with a pride.
'Toh accept karo na', she said without giving a second.
'We will accept it', Swayam answered stepping in with Sharon. Kria pulled away her hand and got up making Rey curse under his breath.
'Rey. Sample presentation?', Swayam queried noticing the files on bed.
'Almost hogaya. Just a little more work. I need that file I left in guest house', Rey answered.
'Hmm. So, we both will go?', Swayam voiced.
Rey glanced at Kriya. He knew he was lying in the name of work.
Aisha came into the room happy that the four were there.
'Gautam won't come soon. He has some work. Kria, he will talk to you tommorow', she replied with a smile.
'But about what?', Rey asked curiously.
'Wohh..', she stammered. 'Even I don't know', Aisha lied and Rey understood it was a lie but didn't make the effort to push more on the topic.
'Fine. We four will go to the guest house and then Swayam Kria will go to their house after the work is done?', Rey scorched peacefully.
'I am ok with it', Sharon replied giving a side hug to Kria making the boys groan.
'Swayam!', Kria complained when Swayam sat with her instead of Sharon. 'We can't tolerate your both ranting. Its better this way', Swayam said earning glares from Sharon and Kria.
'Rey was lying. He completed the work. He needs you Kria', Swayam mumbled when he noticed busy Rey and Sharon and the music helped.
'What? Why?', Kria asked clueless maintaining a low voice.
'You will know it yourself', Swayam replied honestly.
'Just be with him', he ended and Kria nodded understandingly.
Sharon took her away into a room when they got down. Rey went up in the name of work and Swayam was with them.
Kriya excused herself saying she would help Rey and went upstairs.
Kria instantly closed her ears with hands as she reached the terrace. Rey's yelling on phone hurted her sensitive ones.
'Rey', she called out but it went unheard.
GOD! She muttered walking upto him. His rant only continued in the phone. She couldn't help herself but do what she did. She walked until she was a step behind him. She snatched the phone away and cut the call making him furious.
'Kriya..what do you think you are doing?', he yelled turning around.
'Will you please lower your voice?', she requested and he pretended forwarding his hand with, 'Ok..give me my phone'.
'No', she replied adamantly.
'Rey..aap kithna unromantic and boring ho...you complain that I don't have time for you..and when I am here..you don't even bother to talk to me', she fake complained, looking away. She pretended to be low and walked past him standing by the wall facing the lights of city.
A very bad move, Rey muttered in a low voice.
'Kuch kaha aap ne?', Kria questioned without turning to him.
'Haan. Since I disappointed you. I will make it upto you', he said going closer and whispered.
Kria's eyes widened when the meaning of his words sinked into her.
She turned around and she almost freezed with the proximity. Rey closed the bare gap left placing his hands to her side.
Kria placed her hand behind and moved back as much as she could. Rey ceased his smile from showing up. He leaned in closer breathing in her fragrance. Her hair gently caressed his face as the wind blew.
'I was just kidding', she said pushing him away with her hand but he blocked her again with, 'but I wasn't'.
He cuddled an arm around her waist and pulled her against him and their lips accidentally touched. She placed an arm on his shoulder balancing. He gently tucked her hair with his right hand cupping her face. Glancing at her eyes and then at lips, he leaned down closer to her lips melting down his lips on hers kissing her sensuously. He pulled apart but their foreheads touched. 'I love you', he whispered looking at her and she smiled lowering her eyes.
'Kria', Sharon called from below breaking their sweet moment. Rey traced back his hold and she whispered, 'Good night' before she left.
The next day she faced an excited Rey. She could feel it from his voice when he called her and told their sample presentation was liked by the company and that they were looking forward for partnership.
'You are coming to the party',Rey's words reminded her.
'I don't want to go. Those business parties are so boring and Rey will be busy too', she spoke to self.
She didn't bother to go through a make over. She walked in with her normal and casual wear of a simple dress. Swayam drove them and then he left her for some work inside leaving her midst the business men and women.
Her eyes searched for Rey from the time she came and she stopped when she spotted him talking to a men and a girl. She was a bit taller matching to Rey's height. Fair toned. Beautiful. Curves at the right place. She distracted back to Rey. He shone and stood out from the rest. She smiled with pride.
She didn't notice when he sended them off and glanced at only her. Excusing himself from the rest, he came out of the steadied crowd and holding her arm, he took her to a silent corner.
'You are so tensed', Kria mumbled with a laugh. She could feel his palms sweaty.
'Final presentation Kria..hope..really hope they would like it', he said.
'They will like it', she soothed courage into him.
'Thanks', he said much to confuse her.
'See if you feel uncomfortable out there..just come here. I will be back as soon as the presentation finishes', he continued.
'And I have to go now. Will be back in half an hour', he mumbled hastily and she tried her best not to make her smile disappear into a frown.
'Reyyy', she hissed holding him in trance without going.
She smiled, leaning in she kissed his cheek whispering, 'All the best' and he engulfed her in embrace tightly before letting go.
'Did you see Kria Shikawat anywhere around?', she heard a strong voice speak. She straited out from the corner and faced the side view of Gautam, Reyaansh's Dad.
'Uncle', she voiced after few seconds. He uncomfortably smiled at her and walking to her he said, 'Can we have a talk?' and she nodded her head without having any choice.
'Kria..whatever I am about to say might turn out to be too rude but Kria...Rey doesn't love you', Gautam blurted and she stood aghast. Numb and shocked.
'Uncle, can we please drop it here? I know what he feels for me', she spoke uncomfortable with his words. It hurted her though she very well knew Rey loved her.
'No Kria. You mistook his gestures for love. He indeed made you feel that way. But', he continued.
'Uncle, Please? Can we end it?', she asked again.
'But..', he trailed again.
Her eyes was turning moist. Not because she doubted him and not because she was scared for her heart to get shattered but it was Rey's dad who was telling her whatever she felt was a lie.
She chose to walk away but freezed when he spoke, 'He was escaping the reality. He was in love with Malika. She broke his heart and walked away from his life and now she is back. You made him escape the reality in your presence. I understood it when he wanted to get this project work by hook or by crook. Its partnership company is none other than Malika's company. The girl you stared at was Malika and it was her father who was standing beside her'.
Tears rolled down her cheeks and she quickly wiped it away before stroding off alone.

u know while reading this chappy i felt everything is happening for a reason
and i havent seen kriya anywhere so much cute , she is hell cute in first scene when she was with rey in the car
u know the thing in your ff is that as the story goes u really feel the emotions too , when i read about gautam's call , i was like oh god please no dont make him say "u cant marry my son or i wont let u marry my son" the thing is my heartbeat too raised.
now next scene when rey and gautam both were not in their home , i was dying from suspense, u are good at creating suspense
swaron scene was so much like swaron that u created no jyada na hi kum
u know i was disaappointed when rey was unable to kriya's touch, but i know it was necessary to create suspicious for the last , i loved the way kriya was nervous u know its good to see a character who is bold, cute and nervous at the same time,
swayam -kriya i so missed them :) loved their bond
u know the KR terrace was sooo sooo beautiful like u know perfect mixture of kriya's cuteness/naiveness in begginning + rey's anger + their hotness + i love u = perfect scene created by snigu
end mein gautam's and kriya's scene was too good , u know i felt really good by gautam making appearance in the story, i dont know why but it really felt good to see him ,the thing i liked most was that gautam n kriya's was really mindblowing it was like perfectness as neither gautam over-reacted nor kriya over-reacted , they reacted perfectly , kriya didnt cried like some saas -bahu type overflowing tank and all , she reacted perfectly like she should as a naive-simple-not-so simple girl at the same time , and am amazed how u pulled off gautam's character , i loved the way he was calm as well as not so calm , i think gautam have potential of eploration more -- u can do hell lot of things with this character ..
