was he real Mayank Sharma? who was not less than a beast or she was seeing someone else in him she didn't know what to think but for some time her heart wanted to believe he wasn't like what he was showing of himself to others'he was different from what he looked, there was something about this Mayank that made her heart soft for him for a moment forgetting everything.

"Lay down here" His voice choked with the mixture of hesitation as he dropped his gaze at her who was lost somewhere, He thought she might look up at him then, but she didn't, not even then when he made her lay on the bed. She was frozen, cold still in his arm---she didn't move'she didn't object. His arms were still around her shoulder, his weight didn't budge. It didn't even lift. She waited for him to remove his arms and when he didn't finally She let her confuse, hesitant eyes find his, His face was so close, and she'd somehow gotten her hands flat against his chest. He was lost, the expressions on his face were showing his inner turmoil and finally jerking the odd emotions from his heart he dropped his gaze and quickly removed his arms around her. She stiffened as he leaned to touch her injured foot, "is----it---hurting?"

She found his lips shook slightly and without looking at her shocking expression he asked almost in whispering tone, her stomach flipped, she gulps the lump formed in her throat as she found her voice stuck in her throat, it took her for a moment to accept he was showing concern.

"I'm fine"

Her voice sounded shaky, unwillingly, even to herself and she cursed herself under her breath trying to pull back her foot but as she moved her foot a scream erupted from her lips, "Ah!!!"

"Are---you'alright? Damn why are you so stubborn? Why don't you accept its hurting?"He almost shouted at her in frustration and then finally she looked at him, and whispered, strong, mean, angry, "I don't need your concern Mr.Sharma I can take care of myself"

She angrily pulled back her foot and it had hurt, she bit her lips stopping herself to scream aloud in pain and a long deep angry sigh escaped from his lips as he looked at her giving her an angry glare but as his eyes fell on the tears that spilled on her cheeks his heart clenched and he didn't even know why?

"yes 'I can see it" He couldn't resist a sarcastic snort and she had given him a rage-filled gaze lifting her eyes at him but this time he couldn't ask or wait for her to say something, he went straight towards the almirah and grabbed out the first-aid box.

She lifted up at him with widened eyes as he shifted his weight on the bed and held her foot but before she could protest or could sense what he was going to do next she found his eyes lifted up at her giving her threatening look, "I didn't want people to think I have beaten up my wife"

she stiffened in anger, blood rushed in her veins and she wanted to scream at him, wanted to spill out her anger on him but then she was feeling too weak to fight back with him at that time, She swung her head away letting him do what he was doing.

She didn't know when he cleaned her wound and applied the ointment she was only aware the fact his touch had vanished the pain'there was something in his touch that took away her pain and she felt comfort.

"Next time you no need to show your talent in kitchen"

She huffed silently but then let the anger sank back in her as she was in no mood to give him a tight reply, she could just glare back at him when he finally lifted his gaze meeting with her and she could see it didn't bother him, taking the first aid box he stepped towards the Almirah keeping it back on its place.

She took a breath of relief and leaned back against the pillow as he grabbing the towel went up to the washroom, though now her wound was not paining much after he applied ointment on that but her stomach was still flipping and she was feeling dizzy not because of her injury but her empty-stomach, her attempt to feed herself something had been failed badly.

She sighed letting out a gasp of panic, she was hungry'very hungry but couldn't have asked him to bring something to eat for her, she couldn't have taken his help at any cost'Never.But few minutes back she had taken his help without protesting, jerking him away, some parts of her reminded her, she jerked the thoughts as she didn't want to proceed her thoughts in that way but how could she had forgotten the feeling his hand had left on her. It was a constant battle not to remember the strong curve of his fingers around her waist, the feel of his hand when he took her in his arm, his touch had made her forgotten about her pain. ---No'a desperate gasp erupted from her lips and she breathed then closing her eyes for a moment to remove every slightest sign of that moment from her heart, from her mind.

She opened her eyes at the sound of creaking of the door and she didn't bother to look up as she knew he came out of the washroom. He turned to the mirror to survey himself drying his hairs with a towel when a slow, weak voice hit with his eardrums.

"I'm hungry"

He found her uneasy, too weak, a fragile creature as he met with her eyes for a moment and he didn't know why his heart thud and he could've listened that sound clearly.
