Its interesting the Taani proposal scene to Rey ' says a lot about him. (though more about her but this is about rey, not taani)

Man- is he rude in that??!!! And how mean!

When taani asks him if he would have behaved the same to anyone- and he says YES but u r also swayam s sister. FULLSTOP. Much as those who like TAAREY want to believe that he liked her then, I disagree. He was saying the truth when he said he was looking out for her bcoz she was swayam s sis and his mission at that time was

Bring S& S nearer and find a 6^th dancer- she just served both the purposes...keep swayam free from taani s responsibility to concentrate on Sharon. Keep training taani for weaklings team.

Plus she was a liability- he knew she was innocent enough to be used by Shivam. When Sharon with all her attitude could be duped by shivam then what was taani- however oh yes she would be easily duped. And he didn't want anything coming inbetween footloose finals and weaklings/dazzlers.

he shows his disgust at being told he s special to her , she s not his type and his " I M THE GREAT GUY and she s a funny creature kind of a feeling" comes out how dare you even think I ' REYAANSH ' is even vaguely interested- doesn't she know what/who i am ? THE BIG EGO!

he is so repulsed by the fact that she tried copying kria to catch his attention- he cant digest the fact thats someone tried to take kria s place. don't you know about kriya? How could you dream that i would be interested in a ...weird person like you? And after kriya?????!!! U must be mad .

He overreacted- he didn't want to think at that time when she had just reminded him of kriya and when she had been stupid enough to be with shivam for charity event,no, he was in no mood to think that for a girl new to college, his being nice and secretly could have seemed like he was interested. His anger at being misunderstood by her

His reaction in addition to being shocked at her feelings was also of disbelief- i thought she was an innocent cute, sweet si almost stupid ladki from some place And on my word are you smart???? How could you try to patofy me? You are trying to play all innocent when ur not. He unceremoniously kicked her out.

His words of go get a life applied as much to him as to her and hers of 0.1% bhi nahin was the saddest in that scene.

we often tend to forget in all our enthusiasm for love stories and couples other relations largely portrayed beautifully. The Rey- swayam- Sharon is one such triangle . there are enough instances of how much rey stands by swayam with respect to Sharon throughout the serial but he stands by Sharon for swayam only after kriya leaves- before that its all on the surface ' he wanted them to be together no doubts but it was more of kriya pushing that made him do stuff (lock the firescape😆!). then it was ok- both of u have a gr8 chemistry so cmon swayam...dont waste time kinds😃

now its ...okay both of u have a gr8 chemistry , so why not?whats stopping you?.. ...he understands Sharon s POV of swayams intensity pushing her off . he had only understood swayam s passion for Sharon. He now realises that that same passion could be scary. How else do we explain the fact that he DOESNT tell swayam about sharons confession to himself?! He edges swayam on but never tells him beforehand that Sharon confessed.

There were few episodes which were BRILLIANT ' the Swayam/ Sharon easy girl-cheap fantasies guy etc., episodes and the two of them were out of the world . even in those Rey s character stands apart- when he realises that there are things happening just between the two of them which none of the others know about and discourages all the gang from talking or asking them about it( shivam s party kiss stuff) when he says let them sort it out the way they want to- fight , scream, insult and get it all out of their system. Let them cleanse out the past to start fresh, he s being so sharp . anyone would thin after such fights they wouldn't look at each other again but rey thinks the opposite.

And his clear headedness when its most required- he handles the extremely out of control swayam the way perhaps no one could ve done. The scene where swayams busy destroying the classroom and reys slaps him! he sees swayam doing exactly what he wanted to do ' physically take out the frustration. His look when he say love or hate are emotions that make u act strangely- so much sadness( and we complain he forgot kriya On a whim?) The scene where he holds swayam is one of my fav. And just before holding him wipes off his own tears ' its difficult to notice it coz swayam occupies ur brain at that time but looking bac k, the importance of that tears is so felt.😭👏

how i wish he had done something similar to Sharon as well but she comes almost as an afterthought for him. I often wonder why she considers him her best friend?!

Throughout the time both of them fight, its his heart breaking again. 😭He has set his hopes on these two once his love life is in a mess. Thankfully in this case he knows both sides of the story , unlike in his case where he doesn't know the other side of the story and doesn't wholly believe what he knows. So... he stops them, scolds them, just short of destroying all chances of being together thanks to big egos and encourages swayam into becoming attitude swayam while cleverly manipulates(- beating iron when hot-) Sharon into admitting that she s affected by swayam. just that small push but nothing pushy.👏

His reward----Hes the happiest 😃 when they tell him their trial relationship status just as they knew he would be. Suddenly his messed up love life doesn't seem so bad. He runs, grinning, again telling himself taani can be his responsibility till swayam is fine with Sharon.
