Hey everyone,
This is my first ever story for public view.
So please be nice.š
I hope you guys like it.
I dedicate my first ever story on IF to my first friend on IF- Neetha.
Neetha, you're an absolute sweetheart.
And I know you've been waiting for more than a week for this, so sorry about that.

Her landline rang, she looked at her bedside clock and was quite surprised. "Who could it be?", she thought. Knowing that Hari kaka would have already gone to bed, she ran outside, into the living room to receive the call before it could disturb Hari kaka's sleep. Her reputation said otherwise, but in actuality, she was quite a considerate person, and in any case she considered Hari kaka to be a part of her family. After all, he had taken care of her every little need, since she was born! She picked up the receiver and was even more surprised to hear the voice of the person on the other end. "On my landline, at this time!", she thought confused.
Knowing her as well as he did, and as if he knew exactly what she was thinking, he quickly clarified, "I wanted to talk to you and I couldn't get through your phone, so I called on the landline. Sorry, I didn't realize the time. I hope I didn't wake anyone."
They had been in their trial relationship for about four months now, and had finally started to behave like a couple, of sorts. He knew the little little details of her life and she his. He knew that her dad was out of town, the cordless in her room was spoilt and Hari kaka would be sleeping, so she would only pick up his call. The timings of these events couldn't have been more perfect! It was as if there was divine intervention in his plan. This intervention put into place that aspect of the plan which he was worried about most. He knew calling on her landline would do the trick, but being the person that he was, he genuinely hoped that he wouldn't disturb Hari kaka's sleep in the execution of his plan.
He didn't have much time, so he immediately got to work. He had to make sure that he sounded normal to her, otherwise she would definitely know that something was up. He continued talking to her about anything and everything, and tried to sound as normal as he possibly could in the present situation. His heart was beating wildly in his chest, and anyone who took one look at his face, would be able to make out the excitement and enthusiasm visible on his handsome features.
When he was done, he looked at his watch and was quite impressed with himself as he had managed to finish his work in time, something that he thought he wouldn't be able to do. He told her he would call her on her phone. She looked at the wall clock in her living room and got the hint. Smiling to herself, she put down the receiver and walked towards her room.
TO BE CONTINUED!!š
