Hello guys..! I have been a silent reader for a long time. And i am in love with all of the stories posted here. I have decided to give writing a shot. This is an OS as i dont know if i'd be able to do justice to a story. please read and leave your views. it will mean a lot.

She woke up and looked around the room. Today was the day. The calendar on the table showed the date.

14 august 2012.

The day when it was all going to come to an end.
Funny how she had waited for this date with awaited breathe. But now, today, when this day had come she felt nothing.

Had it come to this then?

She, who was a malestorm of emotions, who had something to say on anything and everything, she felt nothing today.
She mechanically moved to the bathroom to take the shower. Came out and packed her things. There was little to take. Her clothes, her devi maiyya's murti and her stars. She took nothing she had acquired as his wife.

Where was he? Was he then not even going to come see her one last time? Or did he want her gone as soon as possible?
Thinking about him made something ache inside her. She smiled sadly.
So no, her emotions were not dead. She could feel pain and longing. And though she hated herself for it, hope.

She had accepted it way back. She loved him. Loved Arnav Singh Raizada. With everything that she was and everything that she ever would be.

She had a lot of time to think about it. To try and figure it out. Was she a masochist? Why would she love someone who has just hurt her? Somebody who still thinks the worst of her albeit her constant pleading and begging? She didn't know. Or maybe she did.
Because he was the only one who made her come alive. Who made the stars shine brighter and the flowers smell that much sweeter. May be it was the way he looked at her, with his intense eyes like there was no one in the world but her. The way he whispered her name with his deep husky voice that sent shivers down her spine. Or the way he cared and loved his di so much that he would even kill for her.

And how can a man who is capable of such deep love be anything but good?

Maybe they were never meant to be. Like two passing ships. But she knew that she will forever have the imprint of him in her life.

Because even if he had given her more pain than anyone, he was the only one who had made her feel most cherished and loved than anyone ever had.

And for that she would be able to forgive him.

She slowly walked out of the house.
Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada.
She wasn't a raizada anymore. And her family had disowned her. She was just khushi now. Or may be not. Because though she was whole on the outside, on the inside she felt hollow. And she knew why.

She had left her heart and soul with him.!

He couldn't breathe, he tried to calm down.

In. Out. In. Out.

But his body was not listening to him. He felt a cold chill starting somewhere in his heart and engulfing his own body.

Somewhere in the recess of his mind, he took in the investigator who sat across him, the files scattered around the table, the angry and accusing glare of his cousin. All of them proving her innocence.

'Her innocence.'

The words mocked him now.

How many times had he looked into her eyes and saw innocence there?

And how many times had he convinced himself that it was just an act?

Another way for her to worm her way into his heart and ruin his family with her mercenary methods?

He closed his eyes. But it offered him no solace. Because all he could see was her face. Vibrant and full of life with her thousand watt smile.

And he couldn't help but remember how she looked now. So cold and lifeless. With eyes that were dead.

That was what had scared him the most. She had the most expressive eyes he had ever seen. But recently, after their last confrontation about a week ago, the life in her eyes had died.

She had stopped trying.

Was that why he had decided to investigate the whole matter?

Someone calling his name brought him out of his reverie.

He looked at NK. He was saying something to him.

"I asked what are you going to do now? Now that you have the proof."he scoffed.

Arnav did not say anything. He got up and left his cabin. The reality had begun to sink in.

Oh God!, he whispered. Oh god!
What had he done? Every cutting barb, every accusation that he had thrown at her came back with a vengeance.

She was right. He was a monster. He didn't deserve love.

Didn't deserve her.

He had been living a cold loveless life for 26 years feeling nothing. But it was not nothing he was feeling right now. So many emotions were fighting inside him that he had a hard time naming them. Guilt, regret, disappointment, love, anger. And hatred.

Hatred for himself.

He ran towards the car. He had to see her right now. To tell her how wrong, how horrendously pathetically wrong he was, and beg for her forgiveness.

He would crawl on his kness if that meant she would take a chance on him. Because in all this confusion he knew one thing with crystal clarity.

If she did not forgive him and leave, his breaths would cease.

He opened the door of their room. He had felt it even before taking in the evidence that she had left.

He opened the wardrobe and all he saw there were his black suits. His life, before she had entered bringing colors with her. There were no stars, no chimes, it was as if she had never existed.

Only the wind assured him that she had once been here, bringing with it her scent to him.

He collapsed on the floor, with her name hovering on his lips, which was no more than a whisper.

"Khushi.!"

Part 3 :-

He had no notion of time. Minutes may have passed by. Or may be hours.

He had no idea. He did not care. He knew that the only way he would be interested in it would be to have him count the hours, minutes and seconds.

That hours that would have passed by since she left.

The minutes that he would long to hold her in his arms.

And the seconds that would pass by without him having his wish granted.

But No! She had not left him. He had driven her away.

And now he was back in the abyss, the one he had always lived before her.

She had come into his life like a sunshine. She had taken the darkness away! She had forced him to see what he had become. A corpse frozen in a limbo! The moment she had fallen into his arms..his heart which was cold, had thawed and started to beat again. He had felt warmth after a long bout of coldness.

And now, now that he knew what it felt like to live with her, how his heartbeats increased when she smiled, how intriguing he found that tiny spark of mischief that was always there in her eyes, how he was insanely jealous of the strand of her hair which always feel on her eyes. Now that he had known all this, how could he ever live without her?

And he had no one to blame for his misfortune but himself. Because he had done this to himself. He had let her down. In a thousand different ways he had let her down.

She had put so much trust into him. And he had betrayed it without even giving it a thought.

He had been handed something so beautiful, so precious that millions of people would have killed, prayed, died to have it.

And he had crushed it under his feet until it had crumbled.

He kept gazing into nothingness, which seemed to symbolize his life now, his future.

"Nannav." The soft voice reached him but his brain failed to process anything. He was blinded by mind numbing pain.

"Nannav!"

Arnav jerked and raised his eyes to see NK looking down at him with deep concern in his eyes?

"Are you okay?" NK asked.

Arnav did not reply. He just kept staring at him.

When arnav did not reply NK looked around the room. Realization finally dawned on him as he said, "She's left!"

"Yes."

Only one word but it held such depth of emotions, such anguish, such pain and hopelessness that NK had to blink several times so as to stop the moisture in his eyes falling down on his cheeks.

NK had come to know about the problems between arnav and khushi when he had heard them fight last week.

As he had heard in horror what they were fighting about, he was filled with a deep sense of purpose.

He could clearly see what arnav couldn't. Khushiji was being punished for something she had never done. She was being executed on the testimony of lucifer. He could not believe nannav was so thick headed.

For someone who was a billionaire and supposedly one of the most intelligent and shrewd man around, he was behaving pathetically obtuse.

When both of them had seen NK, arnav had given a disgusting glance at khushi and walked off.

NK had seen the light die in her eyes in front of him.

He had decided then and there that he would do whatever he could to make arnav see sense. That was the reason he had kept on pestering arnav for two days about investigating the matter until suddenly he had finally given in.

Now looking at Arnav, broken and shattered, just a shell of a man, he knew that his work was not yet complete.

He would have to help Arnav win his Khushi back.

Okay..!! that's it for now..! And please tell me what you think of it.!

i really don't get any replies..! and well i need to know you guys like it for me to continue..!!

hope you enjoy this.!!

Love..RichA.!! xoxo
