-Tum Mile-

The flames had danced in front of his eyes as it had engulfed the souls of those he loved. He had tired his hardest to save them using every brain cell that he possessed to find a solution that would allow him to keep them. He had begged those around him to help in the hopes of them being spared but they had all in the end let him down. They had lied and given him false hope that they would live. He had yelled and screamed at the top of his lungs hoping they would open there eyes but his screams had fallen on deaf ears as they continued to lay still. In the split of a second his life had changed from a happy dream to a nightmare. In the split of a second he had lost his family. He could still see the way she had come in front of him when the gunman had fired from his gun aiming at him. He could still see how the bullet had hit her in the stomach causing her to fall to the ground. He could still see the way the doctor had come out of the ER and told him that she was gone and had taken there unborn child with her. He could sill see the way he had run into the ER and yelled at her to wake up. Armaan Mallik sat with the only memory that he had left of his wife and child a picture he had taken of her when she was pregnant and couldn't help but let a tear escape his eye. He had loved them both with all his heart and never thought that one day god would take them away. It had been 4 years since that day yet it continued to play like a broken record in his head never leaving his memories and even now despite being remarried with a 2 year old little boy he still couldn't help but miss them.

She stood at the door and watched as he slowly began to break down once more. She had been aware from the start that it would take him a while to start over with her and she was ready to wait. She had known that there would be times like this where he would travel back to that dark period in his life and would breakdown. She was aware that he was still in love with Maya di as she fondly called her and that it would be a while until he made a place for her in his heart and Riddhima knew that. She knew that it wasn't easy for him to love again. She knew that it wasn't easy for him to bond with there 2 year old son Krish after he had lost his little girl. A tear slipped from her eye as she realized how hard it truly was for him to start over but at the same time she felt a sense of pride towards him that despite all of that he had never made her or Krish feel as if they weren't loved. He had done so much for her and Krish that she wouldn't be able to even say a simple thank you as it would be too little but she had to start somewhere and right now if she could be there for him and comfort him it would at least be a start. And so wiping her tears away she smiled as a small idea to cheer him up popped into her mind. She walked towards the radio and turning it on allowed the first song to vibrate in the room. Feeling someone grab his hand he looked up to see her standing in front of him with nothing but love shinning in her eyes. She grabbed his hand and pulling him into an embrace and slowly began to move with the beat of the music with the love of her life in the hopes of thanking him for being there for her.

They had only been married for 3 years but she had never once demanded anything from him. He could still remember when he had told her about his past and that he wouldn't be able to love her the way she wanted him to, and how she being who she was had understood and given him time. She had never once forced him to do anything that he didn't want to do. When she had told him that she was pregnant she had told him that he could be as involved as he wanted and that there was no pressure on him. Armaan at first had never thought that he would be able to love again and be able to give Maya's place to someone else but now as he stared into her eyes as they danced he realized that he had unknowingly fallen in love with her and that his heart now belong to her. He realized that if it wasn't for her that he would have never been able to move on from Maya and start a new life. It was time and he knew it. It was time to tell her what she wanted to hear from him. As the song slowly came to an end Armaan cleared his throat getting her attention and with all the love he had towards her spoke those 3 words that she had been dying to hear.

"Riddhima I love you"

She looked at him as his words echoed in her ears and couldn't believe that the moment she had been waiting for had finally come and that the wait was finally over and that they were now one. Not being able to control the tears of joy shedding from her eyes she engulfed him into a hug reciprocating just how much she loved him too and as they did they continued to dance celebrating a new lease on life with the next song that blared through the speakers depicting how lucky they were to have found each other.
