Thanks to everyone who liked the previous parts… So, Part three people!! Here it goes….

WAS IT REALLY ABOUT THE KIDS??

"What do you mean Arnav?? You are alright if your son is involved in street fights?" Khushi asked Arnav in a Dare-and-bear tone.

Oooh…..dad's gotten himself in trouble. Ashar thought.

Serves you right dad! Now face mom! Asmara thought a little diabolically.

"No, of course not! I just want him looking out for Asmara… What's the harm?" he replied standing up and walking to his wife.

"If something is bothering him he should come and report to us! Not take the law in his own hands!" Khushi cried out with an underlying 'its obvious!'

"Taking law in his own hands? First thing we are doing is putting an end to your daily soaps!" Arnav retorted.

The siblings looked at each other… and gave each other a lets-get-out-of-here look. Asmara sifted along the bed and got down. Both of them were about to leave when Khushi said "you two are not going anywhere… I'm not done with you!" she continued from her last statement without a pause; Even though she had her back to them.

"Mom, I can swear you are a psychic!" Ashar exclaimed.

"No, just a mom… now you two sit down…"

"but you are not dad's mom… but you have an uncanny sense about him too…" Asmara stated as a matter of fact sitting back on the bed along with Ashar.

Khushi gave her a forced smile. "Because I'm his wife… and don't attempt to change the subject…"

"Khushi, they are not changing the subject and you are over-reacting. Ashar told us na that it was her potential boy-friend who started a fight… you cannot expect him to take it all silently… he is Ashar Singh Raizada after all!" Arnav stated taking a seat. Ashar smiled proudly at his dad. Khushi also sat on the bed.

"Yeah… of course!" Khushi replied sarcastically. " He is not going to take up fights just because he bears that name!"

"Obviously! Not just for the name but for his own pride!" Arnav retorted. Khushi rolled her eyes and so did Asmara.

"And anyways… you love Salmaan Khan fighting 7-8 goons to save a girl… but when your son picks up a petty fight its wrong?!" Arnav added with a smirk.

"Salmaan Khan is Salmaan Khan!" the siblings held back their laughter.

"Either they both are wrong or they're both right… have your pick…" Arnav replied clearly enjoying the turn of conversation.

Khushi's eyes narrowed. Arnav returned the look smugly.

"those are movies… its not real…" she said slowly.

"Why the hell do you watch it then?" Arnav asked.

"we're not talking about Salmaan Khan fighting in movies. He doesn't do it in real life!" the two kids watched the exchange silently like a tennis game.

"Mom?" Ashar started in an attempt to rescue his mom out of the situation. The kids were well aware of their mom's fascination with the hero. "I'm not picking up fights unnecessarily! Its not that its my hobby or something… I only got into one today because I was looking out for my sister. Really, don't you want me doing that?" Ashar layed his card.

"Yes and tell us what happened. And that's the same thing we expect from asmara…"

"What are you talking about mumma?" Asmara asked confused. Now my mother wants me to spy on my brother and him to spy on me?

"Of course they are not going to do that! They'll take each other's secrets to the grave… if today's incident hadn't reached the principal, we wouldn't even been having this talk…" Arnav stated the obvious. "You and payal must have had secrets too!" he reminded her.

"Oh Okay! Don't tell us! But don't go about getting violent!" she said particularly to Ashar.

"Mom," he put an arm around her "if it assures you my career plan doesn't involve becoming a gangster… okay?" everyone smiled.

"Yeah… it only involves becoming my bodyguard!"Asmara added sourly.

Arnav smiled wide. Khushi was amused but did not let her serious expression shift. Ashar looked at his sister with narrowed eyes giving her If-you-start-it-you'll-regret-it look. Armara returned a bring-it-on look. The parents noticed the silent exchanged and held back their snickers. These two were Pal mein dushman pal mein dost species.

"there won't be any need for that right now because you Asmara are too young for dating… so nothing doing until you've passed college" she ordered her.

"What the?!" Asmara cried out shocked. That was being sooo unfair!

Ashar and Arnav were shocked too but they just didn't know what to say. Slowly Arnav's shock subsided and he got his wife's point. His daughter was just too innocent! The protective dad thought. And Ashar's mind was churning to get his sister out of this situation. He agreed with her. It was being unfair!

How did it turn out guys?? I personally thought it was very dry… so I wouldn't blame you if you didn't like this update…

But please let me know what you thought… even if you thought it wasn't good enough…

And its so funny how Arnav and Khushi started their usual bickering while both the kids who caused this trouble in the first place just sat and watched 🤣

No dating till college? Ouch! Khushi is one strict mum huh? Awww Ashar's now on his little sister's side! How cute! Btw exactly how old are Ashar and Asmara right now? 😉

Wow it was super sweet. I am in love with this crazy yet cute and lovely family. Just love ashar asmara bonding they are so adorable. Poor asmara now her mother and father think her to be too young to go out for dating. I really loved the salman khan part. Thanks for the pm. Please write the next chapter to this os.
