It must be difficult for a person like Arnav to be lonely, sure he may like being alone most times, but who likes loneliness, not even him. The irony is not lost on us, a place as beautiful as the KH does not have a calming effect on him. It is not necessary for him to like the place nor does he have to treat it as anything else but a property to acquire, but the tranquility a place can offer so close to nature is lost on him.
In many ways Kashi and Arnav are similar I feel, both are determined, hardened and strong individuals, matched in many ways, yet different as chalk and cheese. It will be our undoing to expect anything normal or as you say predictable from the two, alone or together.
