This is being posted here, because I am disgusted by what's happened.

You can't just edit out the parts copied and make it seem as though it was your own. Instead of accepting your mistake, stop trying to make yourself a victim, and do the right thing - accept that you plagiarised Maya's story.

Anyway, I am copying and pasting whatever I just PM-ed you because i am not sure whether you are gonna read and reply, but I want this message across toe everyone that this story is not an original piece of work, hence stop liking/commenting.

Alright, here's the thing. I thought by telling you that your work has been plagiarised, you will realise how bad it feels when someone outrightly just grabs a hold of your hard work, puts it somewhere else and takes all the credit for it

But clearly you do not understand that, so let me enlighten you.

Writers like Maya, Anne, Munchy etc, are damn good writers. In fact they should be paid for what they do but they are not and all of them are kind enough to share their talent with us readers and let us read their work.

The amount of thinking that goes into writing a chapter, sticking true to the characters, trying to stay true to the plot while still writing to the best of your capability is probably something you don't understand, but it's something that most readers of Maya's work understand and appreciate. Hence a lot readers are hella pissed at you just blatantly taking her work, changing the characters' names, passing it off for your own and then demanding comments in exchange for it all.

That is absolutely disgusting. I understand that you may not get the gravity of plagiarising, but the word plagiarising is synonymous to stealing. So you are essentially stealing someone else's work and saying its your own.

If you don't care about all this then why ask the readers to like and comment on your work? Why ask them to write a comment for a work that is originally someone else's? Why ask them to like a work that is originally someone else's?

You say the entire fiasco is hurting you, did you even bother for a second how much it hurts theoriginal writer of the story who updates at odd hours of the night just so us readers can read her work?! Did you for a second even consider how much hard work she puts in her work before taking all the credit?

You want readers to read and appreciate your work, how about you post something ORIGINAL. Trust me, that's a way better feeling that having people praise you for work that has been copied from someone else's.

Maya is way too kind to take on a fight with you, but trust me hon, she has readers who are ready to draw blood in exchange. This plagiarising fiasco has happened twice.

If you did NOT notice, she has freaking copyright on her website. Do you even know what that means?

It means she can LEGALLY take action against you. But she is too kind and understands that you are a child, hence she is giving you the benefit of doubt.

Instead of doing the right thing and accepting your mistake, stop trying to scapegoat the entire situation and misplace the blame. You are at fault for taking her work, and instead of apologising you are trying to make yourself the victim.

PS: this rant will be posted on the thread as well so your readers know exactly what's happened.

I can judge you, and I do. I know the whole matter because it is my work that you claimed. IF has sent you a warning for good reason. And, if I wanted to, I could shut your thread down.

This is your story--I take no credit for your work. But, within your work there are bits from my work and perhaps the work of others. That is what plagiarism is.

I see that you have just sent me an apology by PM--if you are sincere, then post that apology publicly on my thread AND yours. And, you will be respected for your courage and for your desire to be a better woman.

Maya, these people will never learn. what sincere apology? it's just an escape route for her. just shut the thread down. that way they will learn. just like there are no 'warnings' for academic integrity, this sort of behaviour should never be excused. it would only encourage others to follow on the same track.

and good god. you're 'writing' a story. please use proper english. but oh wait - proper english would require you to actually think up something by yourself! so you copy paste, edit a few words, put in 'knw' instead of 'know' and viola! a "new" story! great job!
Inked's storyline was about Arnav and Khushi's new life together. and pardon me, but what's your story called again?
I would never trust you or your apologies. What you've done is horrendous. Do you not get what you did? I called you out on it, along with everybody else. At least have the decency to admit it instead of scrapping on my wall with this pathetic message:

and needless to say, it gave me a headache - you write like a two year old. i would have expected that for someone who has the nerve to copy "jus a 3 line para n tht too wd a littl chng" from a brilliant masterpiece, you could have shown the effort to write it nicely. But whatever. you really do disgust me. there's only one word for people like you who do this stuff intentionally - it's called a - wait for it - THIEF. do you know that word? maybe you don't. maybe that's why you did all this. who knows, maybe Inked isn't the only one whose work you copied.

I am amazed at your audacity here ... you actually steal scenes, plots, even exact phrases from someone else (Inked/ Maya in this case) & then brazenly declare that we do not know the matter.

You would be amazed at how much we know. YES we love Maya's work enough to have read her story multiple times & recognize sentences from her work. So please do not presume to tell us what we know & we do not know. I have never read "your" SS before; just now glanced through the updates & could immediately point out out what does not belong to you (I am not sure what more parts you have edited out as Krani mentioned in her comment above, I could still see what has been picked up from Maya's work)

For shame coz stealing does not reflect ingenuity and nope, never will it do so in future. In case you do want to write, write your own -- Good or bad, at least you will know its yours.

Hoping you do the right thing here.

i am really sorry for maya she is such a gifted writer and for her to face these things its terrible...and she is too sweet to say offending words as pointed out by krani and others but don't take her readers lightly we really aren't that good so don't wait till it happens...

people make mistakes all the time but given a chance wouldn't it be great to let it be out and start fresh???i am sure you must be having a real good explanation but its like" res ipsa loquitur" the thing speaks for itself...

do the right thing for your readers, for yourself and all of us...
