Chapter 4
1980 AD

It was a clear night. Maha Ari looked at the sky ,hoping to see the moon. He was now frail and weak. His age had crossed 90. MA looked around at the room, probably the last time. He had spent nearly 20yrs in this room bedridden. it was an elegantly furnished room. As he lay on his huge bed, he knew it was his last hour. he wished for the umpteenth time to see it all get over. His mind went over the things that had happened since the 'new' civilization had been uncovered.

He closed his eyes. All the memories flashed in front of his eyes...
there was curiosity everywhere regarding the new civilization. India's freedom struggle continued. The most shocking news was the sudden death of Vikramaditya Rathore and Harshvardhan Rajvansh. Their families had to be taken care of. MA would never forget that day. He was sure that the death of the brave duo had occured because their magic had failed to safeguard them. the negative energy which was subdued and kept hidden for centuries had been unleashed all of a sudden. Its effect had not only affected them but the complete India. the partition that followed the independence was proof that it was getting powerful every minute. MA was sure that all those who were in wait for this to happen were now on the quest to find it. he was glad that the artifacts were safe.

Tears started flowing from his eyes as he remembered everything. he felt he had failed in his duties. it was true that he had been entrusted the monumental task and responsibility at much of an early age. Now he had to pass it on to someone really responsible. There were many candidates to take up his post of maha ari of the karmaks. but he wanted his exceptionally intelligent and sharp grandson Vishnugupta to take the post when the time would come.

Someone knocked the door and a boy of about 8 entered the room. he came near the bed and took maha ari's hand in his hand and said," daddu aapne mujhe bulaya?" to which MA smiled and said,"ha vishnugupta hume aapse atyant avashyak baat karni hai, aap baithiye." Vishnugupta sat beside this grandpa on his bed.
MA: Aap to apke daddu ki har baat maante hai na? to hame vachan dijiye.
Vishnu:(innocently) kaisa vachan daddu? kya mujhse koi galti hui hai?
MA: nahi nahi. apse koi galti nahi hui hai. aap hume vachan dijiye ki jo hum aapko kahenge woh aap kisi ko bhi nahi batayenge aur hamare jane ke baad uska palan karenge.
Vishnu: ha mein vachan deta hun daddu. ab bataiye na...
MA: waha ek kitaab hai. wo yaha laiye.
Vishnu brings the book which actually is Maha ari's diary.
MA: Aapko puratan kahaniya pasand hai na? yeh hamari likhi ek kahani hai . hum chahte hai ki hamare jaane ke baad ,aaj se 10saalon ke baad aap ise padhe.
Vishnu: parantu abhi kyon nahi?...
MA: Kyonki aap ko abhi bada hona hai. aap abh vachan bandh hai. aap hamari agya ka paalan karenge na?

vishnu nodded. MA smiled and asked to go and told him not say a word of this to anyone. he was confidant of his decision and his grandson that he would handle everything far better than him.

CHAPTER-5

Time waits for none. Before you know, it simply passes within a blink of an eye. Years earlier MahaARI had passed on a legacy to his grandson Vishnugupta. He believed that Vishnu was the right person who would be able to handle the future that was to come.
After MA's death, Vishnu read his grandfather's written diary and had to face a big truth. A truth that would probably make mankind stronger AND destructive. The form of energy within human beings which was the greatest achievement during the ancient times. The energy that could revive as well as destroy.
Energy powerful enough to destroy a COMPLETE CIVILISATION. let alone to think that could be possessed by an individual.
Vishnugupta, sharp and intelligent he was, studied everything he could find relating to the ancient times to find a way to fulfil his grandfather's last wish. He worked hard to bring together all the senior most experienced persons of his grandfather's knowing and decided to revive the tradition that was lost for decades now. Together they all worked to bring together the descendants of those in the past who possessed amazing powers, so that they realise their potential and the responsibility in the present world.
To face danger, to face destruction from the unpredictable force of nature...

2000 AD

Living in the small city of Rajgir(previously Rajgriha) were the families of Vikramaditya Rathore and Harshvardhan Rajvansh. The two youths of the 1920's time who receive blessings from MahaARI the saviours would be born in their families. Vikramaditya(Vikram)and Harshvardhan(Harsh) were great friends. Vikram's son Yashvardhan and Harsh's son AdityaRaj continued the same. But there arose problems that had their families to part ways. there was a question whether to continue fighting for what their fathers died or forget what power they possessed simply to safeguard their families.
Both the families took different decisions which resultedin conflicts. The Rathores chose to forget their past and live for the future whereas the Rajvanshs continued struggle for saving the ultimate truth.
Vishnugupta knew that it would not be possible to save mankind from the destruction of nature until everyone unites. That counts all the KARMAKS including the once most powerful families of the past, the families of VIKRAMADITYA RATHORE and HARSHVARDHAN RAJVANSH...

WILL VISHNU BE SUCCESSFUL? HANG ON, KEEP READING AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER!

CHAPTER - 6
2000 AD

Vishnugupta ,one could say had all the qualities quite similar to Chanakya. His subjects of study would appear very peculiar to any enquirer. PhD in political science, environmental studies, archeaology, geology , ancient literature, astronomy, astrology, Indian culture etc. He simply had too many degrees to his credit that too many of them done at the same time eg he managed to secure PhD pol.sci, archeaology and astronomy at the same time.
Anyone could've expected him to get a high profile job and live a lavish life. He was very sharp and intelligent. he shocked everyone by starting a summer school or rather a summer camp for 'special' kids from 'special' families. He prefered to call it 'GURUKUL'.

Vishnu had an aim and a mission to fulfil. With most of the KARMAKS scattered across the globe and many reluctant to inherit their past, he first had to convince the families to inherit what was is and always will be theirs- powers of the nature. Vishnu had extraordinary oratory skills, even the
strongest debater could'nt beat him in talks. So he succeeded in convincing many families to send the younger generation for training.

GURUKUL-The summer camp was situated in the Aravalli range. It provided a safe cover for its cause and it was much closer in terms of proximity to the civilization. There all could practice their magical powers and no clue would be left behind.
Vishnugupta had purposely chosen to start the summer camp for the kids hailing from descendant families of Indus Civilization because young minds could absorb more and much could be imprinted on their minds. Another advantage was that their developing powers at the young age could be harnessed and channeled in the right manner AND direction.

This effort ofcouse was not acknowledged by all . After the Indus Civilization was discovered the KARMAKS got divided into 2 groups. After the death of Vikramaditya Rathore and Harshvardhan Rajvansh, the Rathore family headed the first group who believed that it was best to renounce their inheritence of powers in the fear that the human race would shun them and cause them harm if they came to know the TRUTH. On the other hand, the Rajvansh family headed the second group which believed they themselves should protect and safeguard their culture and secret and not allow the present world to know about it.

The ultimate conclusion was the powers of nature which KARMAKS inherited could lead the world to destruction if misused and it could restore the lost balance of nature if used in the proper way. This was the mission Vishnugupta had to fulfil. Prevent the powers form getting misused and restore the deteriorating state of nature which threatened the survival of human race. He needed leaders, specifically 2 leaders- a boy and a girl, who would together overcome the ongoing anarchy.
With most of the families convinced, he had a great task to convince both the Rathore and Rajvansh families to contribute in this effort.

Rajvansh family would'nt be a problem, Vishnu thought. the problem would be the Rathore family. More problem because VibhutimalaDevi Rathore, a lady of 70 headed the family. Known for arrogance and ruly nature it would be hard to convince her. She would rather prefer her grandchildren dying on the warfront while serving the country rather than repeating what their great-great-grandfather did. After all she had lost her husband who was at a high post in the airforce. Vishnu smiled to himself as he ponderd over the situation in his lavish ancestral home in Rajgir.

The Rajvanshs lived in Rajgir before moving to Udaipur. Pretty coincidently the Rathores had finally settled in Udaipur.
Vishnugupta asked his most trusted companion Rajeev to prepare to go to Udaipur. the work had to be done fast and as early as possible. Somehow he had the instinct to take THE ARTIFACTS along with him. He knew he was taking a colossal risk with his life and many others life but this somehow seemed urgent and important.

On board the flight, Vishnu had a look on THE ARTIFACTS- two beautifully carved, ancient pieces of artwork, precious neckpieces(somewhat like locket piece). He let out a sigh and thought," Ab intezaar sirf inke asli hakdaaronke aane ka hai. asha hai ki ve sheegra ati sheegra is prithvi pe janm lenge."

AND LITTLE DID HE KNOW THAT THEY WERE COMING...

IN THIS WORLD TO RENEW THE OLD PROPHECY...
