The two words that came to my mind after reading this is Arnav's fav- What the!

I loved the way it ended. True to the characters and natural ending. It is not always happy ending.

I was hoping something drastic to happen reading how Arnav cowardly sat and read. Made no
Attempt to be on her side.,

Very good. I am totally shocked at the ending. Here I was waiting excitedly for Khushi's reaction, and then BOOM! I was like what the! I must have misinterpreted.
Though I understand and agree with the reasoning, am still not happy.
Though I must comment on how effectively you kept the suspense intact till the end.

It was a really good ending, sad, but good!

But, I do have to go back on your point of Arnav leaving her on the roof. The whole conversation up until the point where he revealed why he married her... was "Khushi why are you doing this?". He did not give an explanation till she tugged him badly for it. All throughout that roof-top conversation, it was all about she wanting to commit suicide because she felt he was in love with Lavanya and having an affair with her. That was Khushi's reason and she mentioned it a couple of times and even gave her explanation as to why she thought that.

Only to break that stance, and pull her out of this crazy notion of "commiting suicide" for him and Lavanya's togetherness did he say... I married you because of Shyam.

So in Arnav's defense, he broke that need for her to commit suicide by telling her why he married her. As far as the logic of the story and his characterization goes (and to quite an extent Khushi's too), the need for suicide ended once he revealed the truth.

Now Khushi wanting to commit suicide, I think we can all agree that somewhere deep down she knew he'd not let her and save her... her stalling was subconsciously a proof of that.

I'm sorry I was just giving my side of the argument, defending Arnav, something I do a lot lol!

OH MY GOD..im speechless...its called the dhamakedar and zabardast twist...fantastic story..thats y its to b said that dont get late bfore its tooo late..as it happened for arnav..

Fab SS. With Khushi's absence I figured there would a surprise at the end, I guess I wasn't expecting that until he came into the house and heard the priest's voice. Poor Khushi...she never gave up on him being alive. Sad she never got to see him again. And you're right he is being cowardly if he has 'kidnapped' himself and left those he cares about in the hands of Shyam. How will he live with himself knowing what his actions have done?
