next day, kripa waits in the bus stop( she is going by college bus to college b'coz her mother have to leave in her car early for her duty). finally the bus arrives. she takes a deep breath and gets in. she expected a lot of people in it.but just saw 10 people in it.
she goes and sits in the seat that is at the back. she has got a mp3 and she listens to the hindi songs. she finally reaches the school.
when she gets down from the bus, someone comes to her
s: r u kripa angad?
k: yeah
s: hello i am mr.stevenson, i am head of the 11th year.
k: oh hello sir.
s: u r very new to the place, so i thought i would send someone to assist u.
k: oh thanx a lot! well, how r my classes going to be?
s: i will give u the timetable in a moment. u r going to get 2 free periods for sure b;coz u r not taking any languages as u have GCSE's this year and it would be very hard to pick up.
k: ok, but can i join the classes. wats the use of sitting simply?
s: omg! first time i am hearing a student asking me to join a class. i am impressed. of course u can join the classes. first let me take u to the social area and my office, there is still time for the bell to go.
k: social are 😕 ?
s: yeah, u can come to social are in breaks and we have assemblys there too.
k: ok
they reach mr. stevens office. there is a lady sitting in the office talking to a girl who was crying.
l: now stop dear. its ok. i will speak to her. ok stop crying and go to the washroom. u have cried like anything today. i will solve everything.
g: thanx mrs.walton
l: oh. its ok dear.ur welcome
the girl leaves and mr stevens introduces kripa to mrs.walton
s: kelly, this is kripa angad, she is from india. she is joining today.
k: hello mrs. kelly walton
w: ur so sweet dear. call me mrs. walton. u will have a gr8 time here. if u need any help or if u want to discuss anything come to me. r butterflies filling ur stomach?
kripa was amazed.
k: (thinking) how does she know i am nervous? surely, i am not showing it, am i?
s: kripa, i will bring the person i told u who will assist u in a minute.
k: ok sir
and mr.stevens leves.
k: mrs. walton, is the person from india?
w: sorry dear, i don't know whether - person is from pakistan or india.
k: ow.
mr .stevens comes back with someone who is walking behind him.
s: kripa meet.........
