Sorry for the late update. I've been busy with finals and the end of the school year. But now that school is over, i have more time to update longer parts more frequently.
Ok, here is the next part!

Part 36

They waited for 10 minutes before the doctor came out smiling. The whole family was shocked because they all thought something had happened and here the doctor was smiling proudly. Khushi untangled herself from Anjali and walked upto the doctor.
"Doctor, what happened? My husband, he is alright?" she asked worriedly.
"He is fine. Nothing happened. Well, actually something did happen." he said as he noted all the scared faces on his patient's family members. "He is actually recovering faster and better than we anticipated in his condition. This is very good, but could be dangerous because his body is working twice as hard. So we are making sure that he is not stressed out at all. So, you have to make sure he is as comfortable as possible and try not to bring up the incident. Now two people can go inside. He is awake." the doctor said with a smile.
Khushi sighed with relief. He was ok. He was getting better. She was getting a second chance. THEY were getting a second chance at a life together. She prayed to Devi Mayya, thanking her for this miracle. She was so happy, not even realizing her family behind her. She turned around to see her sister looking at her.
"Khushi, what are you thinking of?" she asked her.
"Nothing Jiji. Just thanking Devi Mayya for this." she said with a hopeful smile. Payal smiled and took her sister's hand and both sisters walked to the rest of the family. They were deciding who should go when Khushi and Payal reached. It was decided that Anjali and Khushi would go in to see Arnav.
As much as Khushi wanted to see her husband, she knew how worried Nani was. She wanted Nani to go in instead of her. "Nani, you go. I already saw him." she said.
Everybody looked at her. "But Khushi Betiya, why?" she asked worriedly, everybody waiting for her answer.
"Nani, I know you are very worried about Arnav. I am still worried, but I feel better now. And I would feel better if you go in instead of me. Please Nani, go in for me." she said as she raised her hands and put them together. Nani stepped foreword and took her hands and put them down.
"Ok, betiya." she said and kissed her on her forehead. Nani and Anjali went inside and closed the door.
Nani wanted to go in, but she didn't. She knew that Khushi was a lit more worried, but because she was pregnant, she didn't want to refuse her. She and Anjali walked into the room and watched the nurse close the door behind them. They saw Arnav laying in bed, looking out the window, tubes leading from his body to different machines and bags, and a bandage around his head and arm.
Anjali whimpered, seeing her baby brother so pale, hooked up to different machines, seeing the different liquids he needed, the bags of blood that he needed. She couldn't believe it. Arnav turned his head at the sound of his sister's whimper.
"Di..." he said as his sister limped to his bedside. She was about to kneel on the floor but he held her by her shoulder, preventing her from going down. He saw Nani move a chair closer to them and Arnav had Anjali sit in the chair. She took his hand and held it to her face as she cried. He let her cry cause he knew that she needed to let her feelings out and that was all she could do when it came to him. He remembered a time, before his parents had died.
*Flashback*
Arnav had climbed the tree next to their house because Anjali's kite had gotten stuck in it. She was about to start crying when Arnav tab to the tree, going after the kite, not being able to see any tears in his sister's eyes. He was a good climber, and he had climbed this tree many times before, so the climb was easy. He ignored his sister's pleas to stop climbing and please get down. All he saw was his sister's red eyes and heard his sister's whimpers which usually meant she was about to cry. He reached the top and tried to get the kite out. At first, he had a little trouble, but he got it out eventually. He slung the kite over his shoulder, and held it by the piece of rope that was at the end in his hand. He started climbing down and had gotten about halfway when he heard a creaking noise. Next thing he knew, he was falling and landed on the ground with a soft thud.
He saw Anjali running towards him and she fell next to him. "Di, I got your kite." he said as he held up the string. Anjali took the kite from his hands and started crying, screaming for their parents. Even at the hospital, after getting a bandage for his concussion and a couple stitches for a cut on his arm, Anjali was still crying, crying that it was her fault.
*Flashback*
"Di, please don't cry. It's not your fault. It never was. Please don't cry." Arnav begged her. He wiped her tears. Nani came up behind and put a hand on Anjali's shoulder.
"It is my fault, Chote. I'm your big sister, I'm supposed to protect you. And look what happened to you because of me." she cried.
"No Di. It didn't happen because of you. It happened because he was jealous of what I had. I have a sister that loves me more than anything, I have a wife, who loves me very much, that every man would die to have and I have money, the thing he wanted from the beginning. It would have happened either way. It was how he was. Nothing would have changed it." he said, trying to keep the anger for the man who single-handedly destroyed the two most important women in his life.

How was it? sorry for no Arshi scenes again in this part, but i promise, when i do have some arshi scenes, they will be amazing, which will be in one of the next two updates! plz be patient with me, i want to have a couple brother sister scenes too. Please leave lots of comments telling me what i am doing a good job at and what i should do better at. your comments make me a better writer! so please comment and like!!!
