Ok, so this is mostly about how Anjali copes with finding out her husband was a lying cheater. Srry forth lack of Arshi scenes. Next update I promise.
[COLOR=magenta] The doctors had taken Arnav up to the private rooms and because he had gone under intensive surgery, he was tired so he had to rest. Khushi waited outside the room with everyone else, telling them that he was fine. Khushi walked to Anjali and held her by the hands.
"Di, don't worry. He's fine. He is Arnav Singh Raizada, right?" she said with a small smile. "You should have gone instead of me. Why did you make me go?" Khushi asked, knowing how much it hurt her Di that she had to wait longer to see the one person she cherished more than her life. They both now had tears coming down their faces.
Anjali freed one of her hands and wiped Khushi's tears then her own. "Khushi, you are his wife, you have more of a right over him than I do. I've cared for him for 13 years, now it's you. That's not my job anymore." she said.
"Di, don't say that. You are his sister first, then I'm his wife. I might be married to him, but that doesn't mean you will come second after me. I am not more important than you. You will always have more of a right over him than me." Khushi replied she turned to the doctor who had just come out of Arnav's room after checking up on him. "Doctor, my Di is very stressed due to not seeing her brother. In her condition, that is not very safe, she has already fainted once and is weak. Is it ok if she sees him just once, please?" she asked the doctor as she raised her hands up and put them together.
The doctor looks from Khushi to Anjali and back to Khushi. "He just fell asleep and he should rest so his body doesn't get too fatigued. But as long as you don't wake him and stay quiet. A couple minutes only." he said sternly, then added "He will be fine, Ms. Raizada." he smiled at Anjali.
"Thank you, doctor." Anjali replied as she was led into the room by a nurse. She saw her brother laying peacefully on the white mattress. If it hadn't been for his dark hair, she wouldn't have noticed him on bed, showing how pale he was. She saw all the different machines that he was hooked up to. She couldn't believe it. Her brother, her Chote, who had been so full of life since the news of Khushi's pregnancy had been brought forward.
"Ms. Raizada," she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned around to face the nurse that had come in with her. "We should go, Ms. Raizada." the nurse said. The nurse held Anjali's hand and led her out to where her family was waiting for her. Anjali let go of the nurse's hand and ran to Nani and cried. Nani held held her and comforted her while she cried for the condition of her brother.
"Nani, Chote... He's so... It didnt look...like him." she said as she struggled to breathe. Everybody watched, helplessly while she cried in her grandmother's arms and completely broke down. She continued to stroke her granddaughter's hair and back, waiting for her sobs to die down. When they did, she finally spoke.
"Anjali betiya, Chote is strong. He will make it. And doesn't he always say he is 'Arnav Singh Raizada'? Yes! And with a sister like you, a wife like Khushi, aunt and uncle like Manohar and Manorama, a brother and bhabi like Aakash and Payal, and a grandmother like me, he will get better for sure." she said as she wiped the tears on Anjali's face. "Don't worry too much, betiya. Think of the baby, it's not healthy for you to worry. Chote will be fine." she added as she walke Anjali to a chair and sat her down.
Even though everything Nani had told her, she still worried. She prayed that he would get better. Prayed that something like this would never happen again. 'You've been praying, warding off the evil eye for many years, how come this still happened?' she heard a voice ask. That made her realize how she had turned a blind eye to everything and anything unpleasant. If she had been more watchful, she could have protected her family. It was all her fault. She starter crying again, wishing he could go back and stop everything before it happened. 'Stop that! This is not the time To cry. Because you wouldn't believe that your WONDERFUL husband would ever do anything to hurt any of you, your brother is now inside, trying to stay alive. He took a knife wound to his stomach, a wound that YOUR HUSBAND gave him. So stop crying and show everyone who Anjali Singh Raizada is." she heard her inner ASR speak. Not payin any attention to anyone or anything, she wiped he tears and softly, but firmly said, "I am Anjali Singh Raizada."
She then, faintly felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to find Aakash watching her. "Di, are you ok? Die something happen?" he asked with concern.
"Aakash, you have to tell me everything. I don't care, I need to know what kind of man he was. I need to know what kind of man the father of my child was." she said firmly, but at the end, her voice had turned to pleading.
"Ok." he replied and helped her up. They walked out into the hallway. "Are you sure you wanna hear this? Know all of it?" he asked her. She nodded. He started with what he knew, how Shyam saved Khushi from the goons, how he started staying at their as a PG, how he forced her to get engaged to him and when she found out he was her husband, she broke it off. He told her how he had told her that his marriage to Anjali meant nothing to him and how he tried to get while she was married to Arnav. He told her how he then kidnapped her as a final attempt and when Arnav and Aakash found them, they started fighting and Shyam stabbed Arnav. Aakash watched as different emotions flew across her face; first, disbelief, then sadness, and finally a look he had never seen on her face before. A look he couldn't describe. A look that he had seen on one person: Arnav.
Anjali sat quietly while she listened to all the horrible things her husband had done to Khushi and her family, with the occasional gasp. When he was done, she sat with a look of disgust. Disgust for the man she called her husband. Disgust for the man she worshipped everyday. Disgust for the man whose child she was carrying. She knew Aakash was telling her the truth, just leaving one thing out. And she was determined to know what the answer was.
"Aakash, what happened to him? How did he die?" she asked.
"Di... He was...shot..." he awkwardly said, not wanting to disclose the who.
"Who shot him? Aakash, I need to know." she replied in her childlike voice.
"Di... I don't know..." he didn't know what to say. He saw her get up before he could say anything else and walked back into the waiting room. He followed to make sure nobody did anything. Anjali knew that Aakash wouldn't tell her anything anymore. So there was one more person to try. The only other person that was there: Khushi. She got to Khushi, who stood up with a worried expression on her face as she reached her.
"Di, I'm so sorry..." Khushi began, but before she continued, Anjali had covered her moved her hand to Khushi's cheek in a sisterly manner.
Anjali slowly shook her head and said, "Don't. It's not your fault. Khushi, I need to ask you something. Do you know who shot Shyam?" Anjali asked. She saw how her sister-in-law's face changed from concern to shock. She instantly broke down, crying.
"I'm so sorry. He...stabbed Arnav. He was...coming at me...I didn't...know what to do." she said as she cried. Anjali held her in her arms as she got her answer. In a way she was glad that he had gotten what he deserved. But she was the type of person who would never wish anything bad to happen to anyone.
"Don't be sorry, Khushi. He deserved it. You did it for me, for your father, for Chote and yourself. I just wish he could have been my Mr. Right. But you don't worry about him. You worry about yourself and Chote." she said just as the nurse came and said it was time to check on Arnav. No one had realized what time it was. The nurse went in and called the doctor.
"What's the matter, nurse?" the doctor asked as he came.
"You have to see his medical records, doctor. And give him something. Quick!" the nurse replied. Everyone gasped as hearing this. They felt that something was wrong from what the doctor and nurse were saying. The doctor and nurse disappeared behind the door, leaving the anxious family waiting.
