Part 22

Both were sitting on the bed, watching each other, remembering all the bad and good memories. Wishing they could go back to how things were before Shyam changed everything. She remembered how he had kissed her on the poolside, how he yelled at her when she had gone to ghee with Nanhe and had fallen causing her to break her bangles.
He remembered how she had kissed him in front of Nani, Di and Mami, how he pulled a piece of bangle from her wrist, the ones NK bought, with his teeth.
"Devi Mayya, help me. What do I do? Do I trust him, do I give up my heart again? Do I let the wall I've built down? Devi Mayya, give me a sign." Khushi whispered to herself.
Arnav listened to her. Each question slowly ripping his heart apart in half. "Khushi, I promise you, with everything I have, that I will never, ever hurt you again. I will never leave you because I can't breathe without you. Khushi, Jaan, you are my breath, my life, my world, my everything. Khushi, I love you."
Khushi looked up to find her husband on the floor besides the bed with his head by her. She lowered her hand hesitantly on his head, feeling his silky soft hair. He looked up to her with red eyes. They both remembered the time when her father was in the hospital and he put his hand on her head to comfort her. She moved both hands to his cheeks and wiped away the tears.
"I love you too. I can't breathe without you either. But I don't know if I can I trust you. You hurt me so many times, you faked your love so many times. You would be the loving, caring husband I always wished for, but you would turn back into ASR. How do I know if this isn't that again. How do I know if you won't change again?" she replied, her voice breaking and eyes overflowing with tears.
Arnav had moved his hands over Khushi's to keep them where they were. "I know I don't deserve your love, your trust or you at all. But please, Khushi, please give me another chance. If you still can't trust me, then I...I will let you leave." he said in a broken voice with a sigh. He let his hands drop to the side of the bed as he wished that she would give him a second.
Khushi felt like she died with that last phrase. He would let get go. He thought that's what she wanted, to be let go of. He wouldn't even fight for her if she said not to. She stared at him, wanting to hug him, kiss him, reassure him that she would never leave him, that she would never hurt him. But she knew that to keep him safe, she would have to do the abortion. No matter how much it would hurt either one. Nothing was more important than him.
Arnav felt Khushi's hands drop from his face and the tears that he hasn't shed since his parents funeral finally burst. If it hadn't been for his father, he wouldn't have become this cruel, non-feeling person. The day he set fire to his mother's pyre changed him so much that he swore he would never let his emotions rule him anymore. But now, he cries for that lost childhood, and the lost love he would never get back.
He looked back to find Khushi looking at him. Their eyes met and time stopped.

Khushi looked away. She felt like crying again. She hid her face from Arnav, while wiping her tears. She didn't want to cry in front of him. It would just make everything harder. she felt the bed move than a soft, familiar voice.
"Khushi, look at me." he lifted her chin so she had to look at her. He saw that she was crying again. "Jaan, what happened? Why are you crying?" he asked and she fell into his arms sobbing, neither knowing the reason. He rested his head on hers, taking in the smell of her hair, her scent, the feel of her hair. He rubbed her back while whispering words of love and comfort, only to find she had fallen asleep when he called her name. He fixed them on the bed so she would be laying in his hands. For the first time since his parents' death, he felt peace.
Khushi woke up at 8 o'clock feeling very refreshed and very comfortable. Not realizing she was still in her husband's arms, she snuggled closer to him. When she heard his heartbeat and faint breathing, she froze, trying to remember if anything happened. But couldn't. All she was able to recall was crying in his arms.
Arnav woke up to Khushi snuggling closer to him. She then froze. He moved and whispered her name, "Khushi, what happened?"
She looked up to him and asked in a quiet voice, "What happened last night?"

How was it? Did you enjoy it? Srry it was a little late. I might not be able to update till Monday because I have a huge project coming up. Wish me luck on it. Thanx

first of all , good luck for your project..

secondly, thank god finally , she told him how she felt..

and poor arnva , he didnt knew if she wanted to leave so he said i will let you go , that scene as quite sad,,

i hope khushi wont do the abortion.. becoz arnav really love and want his child ..

if she do the abortion , he will be realli broken..

last but not least, i can understand that khushi is still confuesed if she sould trust him or not..but i hope she will trust him thins time becoz this time , the love is comming from the deep corner of his heart..

Over all , it was a emotional and heart- touching update..

cant wait for the next part :)
