Part 5

In the midst of excitement kushi didn't realize that she probably wasn't going to get a taxi. She just ran because she was scared her family would realize she was missing and come running behind her. After walking for what seemed like forever she came to a place crowded by trees, so much that she couldn't even see the moonlight anymore. The road was really narrow, the trees on either side were so high that it seemed like they could touch the sky. It was a starless night and the only thing giving her light was the moonlight which now was missing. To make matters worse there were no cars coming or going. As she was walking she heard a noise coming from behind the tree she had passed., the one that was besides a big bush. The branches were thin and pointy except for two on each side of the tree, they were big and looked like the trees hands. At the middle there were to dots that looked like the tree's eyes and they were looking at her. Kushi cursed her imaginations and as she was about to walk away the eyes started moving.

"Bachao!!Bachao! somebody help..Haye devi maiya!" Kushi screamed and started running in to the middle of the road. Suddenly out of nowhere two bright lights hit her face, seconds later her feet failed and she ended up on the floor.

Arnav was speeding down the road, he wasn't sure where he was going and to be frank he didn't care. All of a sudden there was something standing in the middle of the road, Arnav stopped his car and ran towards the animal he thought he had hit. In front of the car laid a girl her face covered by her long black hair. On her slim arms she had bangles and a watch. She was wearing a t-shirt which now had slid a upwards, enough for him to see her milky stomach. She was wearing blue jeans and she had "High on life" written on her white t-shirt with red letters.

"Halo?!..are you ok? Can you hear me?"

Kushi keep laying here maybe he'll think that you are injured and give you a lift into the nearest city.

"Miss..Can you hear me?"

Do not answer Kushi Kumari Gupta, do not answer.

When he got no response Arnav picked up the lifeless body and carried her into his car. He'll drive into the nearest city and have her checked in. Arnav what have you done? First you run away from your house leaving all your responsibilities, then you drive off o God knows where without your GPS and now you ran over a poor girl.

"Listen have you brought my things with you?" kushi said after inspecting him silently for about 30 mins. He didn't seem like a bad guy and she was getting bored being quiet all this time.

"What the..?"

"Sorry, I had been aimlessly walking and all of a sudden you almost drove me over so I thought it's the least you can do.. oh apple, I'm starving. Can I eat that? Thanks" Kushi took the apple which was in the front seat and started eating it. Arnav was too shocked to react, he just kept on driving not knowing where to.

After a while of sitting in the back Kushi got bored and moved to the front sit. While doing so her hair touched the side of Arnav's face and he lost concentration. After that everything happened so fast neither knew what had happened. The next thing they knew the car crashed into a tree and Kushi was on Arnav's lap. Her hands on his shoulders and his on her waist.

"Are you ok?"

"I'm fine, are you.." Before Kushi was able to finish her sentence she looked into his eyes and got lost in them. Then she slowly moved her left hand from his shoulder to his neck and into his hair. Feeling her hand in his hair Arnav unconsciously moved his hands under her t-shirt, stroking the soft skin on her waist. Kushi felt butterflies in her stomach and reacted by moving her left hand from his shoulder to his waist, pressing the car horn bringing them out of their trans. Their faces were in an awkward possision almost kissing but not quite. Kushi not sure of what to do jumped out of the car and started looking to see how big the damage was and Arnav followed.

"Oh my God! My, it's totally ruined..what am I going to do now?" Arnav shouted looking at his car which by now is only capeable of being called a car wreck.

"Dude don't worry, we'll find someone to fix your car and then..DHABBA!..Lets go eat we might even find someone to help us there."

"Unbelievable!..How can you think about food at this point of time?"

"Look it's logical..Right now it's only your car that's out of use, but if I don't eat soon I'll be next in line. It's not rocket science."

"Fine. Let's go."

Arnav wasn't sure why but before going he reached for his dashboard and took the envelope Anjali had put there earlier. For no particular reason he felt at ease being with this crazy creature and having the picture in his pocked, he felt complete.
