Chapter 61

Maan held her hand as both sat in the car...Not once did Geet ask where they were going..she just kept looking out the window...the car stopped at an unfamiliar place..Geet looked around in confusion

Geet: Where are we Maan? This is not home

Maan: I know...I want to give you your surprise...(he gets out of the car and slowly pulls her out...in front of her there was a plane...Maan smiles) Your surprise...we are going away for a whole month on vacation to Switzerland! (she looks at him shocked) I know I never took you out ever since we got married so I want to make up for that! (he holds her hand and leads her toward a private plane)

It was a private plane that Maan hired for them...Inside the jet there were two chairs on opposite of each other...a large couch on the right of the chair with small LD screen tv...Geet was amazed to see all this...this was her first time sitting in a private plane...two air hostesses stood in front of Maan with their heads down...Maan ignored them and picked up Geet placing her on one of the chairs...he looks at the hostesses

Maan: Is everything prepared?

AH: Yes sir...

Maan: Good...I want the doctors to check up on her now before we take off and give me the first aid box

AH: Okay sir...(With in minutes two lady doctors came...one started checking Geet's blood pressure while the other placed a stethoscope on her stomach to check if the baby is alright..

Geet is sat there confused and waited for them to finish up...she looks at Maan who was standing there with nervousness on his face...he held her hand while they checked her...

Doctors: Everything seem to be fine sir

Maan: hmm you guys can leave and will call you if anything...(They nod their head...Air hostess brings Maan his first aid box..) close the door on your way out and will call you guys if we need anything

AH: Sure sir

Maan looks at Geet after they leave...she still had confused expression but mostly she was scared..she had never been on a plane so she didn't know what to expect...he squeezes her hand..."Don't worry its going to be okay.." (She looks at him fear slowly started going away from her eyes..she didn't remove her hand away from Maan..she needed him...) "uhh Geet...your dressing...the doctor said I need to change it every once in a while..."

She nodes her head...it pained Maan to see her not talking..he missed her voice but he knew he had to wait...she was still scared but he would do anything to make her old self again..go through any pain to see her smile...Maan gently holds her right arm and takes out the old bandage..it squeezes his hand when he started rubbing some ointment on it...

it was blue now but slowly healing..he squeezes her hand back and gently blows on her wound...he turns her to make him look at her..she had tears in her eyes..he gently wipes her tears and caresses her cheek..she looks at him tears still flowing down...he looks at her other arm and does the same...he tilts her head up a little to reveal her bite mark..he puts a cream on it...she turns her face the opposite way with tears..

Maan: Does it hurt anywhere else? (she shakes her head no...they heard the captain announce the flight take off...he picks her up and brings her to the back..he slowly opens the door revealing a small room..there was a large bed against the windows with one chair right next to it..her lies her down and sits on the chair...) "Why don't you rest for a while...I will wake you up when its time for lunch..."

He holds her hand as she closes her eyes...Maan kept staring at her while she slept..he sits back in the chair closing his eyes in pain and guilt...he might've lost the person that he loved again...maybe he is not meant to have someone in his life...maybe that is why everyone left him..he remembers his dad's last words "forget the past..."

for once he gave a fatherly advice...he looks at Geet and bends down near her..he puts his hand on her stomach..."it is time for me to move on maybe...let go of everything..start new...be there for both of them...he saw Geet move around frantically...

"Maan..."

She says in her sleep...Maan lays down next to her to calm her down...he puts her head on his chest and strokes her hair..."Am here Geet..its okay..." She hugs him around his waist and sleeps peacefully...Maan kept stroking her back to let her know of his presence...he saw her smile in her sleep which made him happy..he was happy that she still needed him and still felt safe around him...he closes his eyes as well sleeping peacefully with her on his side...

Maan stirred in his sleep and woke up when he didn't feel Geet by his side...he immediately sits up and relaxes a little when he saw her sitting on the chair next to the bed...she didn't look at him...her eyes were dazed lost in her thoughts...tears were silently falling down on her cheeks..he wipes her tears bringing her out of her thoughts

Maan: what happened? (she shakes her head no and begins to get up but Maan holds her hand...) "Geet talk to me..what happened? Do you need anything? Do you have any pain?" (she again shakes her head no..) "Geet talk to me...I am missing your voice...please..." (She comes out of his hold and gets up..)

Geet: I am hungry

she opens the door and leaves the room leaving Maan in his thoughts...(both ate the food in silence..Geet avoided looking at him..she never said anything to him after...hours went by but it felt like years to Maan...Geet just sat on the chair opposite of him looking out the window while he looked at her...both of got out of the plane where a limo was waiting for them. He helps her get in the car...

Maan: To our hotel...(the driver nodes and drives the car...after half an hour the car stops in front of the hotel...bell boys came to grab their luggage while both stepped out of the car...he goes to the receptionists..) Mr. and Mrs. Khruana...

Receptionists: Welcome sir I hope you enjoy your vacation here. Let us know if you guys need anything. We will be available for your service

Maan: hmmm..

He saw Geet waiting by the elevators..he holds her hand and leads her to a different elevator with a key) We have our private elevator that leads straight to the suite...no one will be able to come without a key or permission...(both get into the elevator..the door opens and Geet looks around in amazement...

the whole living room was covered with big large windows displaying the view of the mountain in the background..the room was painted white with the matching furniture..in one corner there were two chairs that faced the mountains...he lets go of her hand and watched her in amusement as she looks around everything slowly..

she steps near the window looking out...Maan heard a buzzer on the elevator..he presses the button letting the bell boys come up with the furniture...Maan gives them tip before they left..he goes and stands behind Geet putting his arms around her waist bringing her close to him

Maan: I hope you like it! (he nuzzles her ear...she puts her hands on top of Maan's hands that were on her waist and comes out of his grip...Maan looks at her shocked..she begins walking away but Maan holds her hand...and steps in front of her..) "please Geet punish me if you want for what I did but don't distance yourself away from me..it hurts me..."

He goes down to his knees with tears and hugs her around her waist...

"I can't live without you both...hit me do whatever you want..I am ready to accept my punishment..I was blinded with revenge..but no more Geet..I want to spend my life with you and our baby now...you were right..I did care about my revenge more then you guys but I have changed now...believe me..."

She comes out of his grip

"Don't touch me!" (Maan looks at her shocked and pain...she moves back away from him with tears...)
