The meeting was successful.they had come to some intelligent conclusions.Plans were ready to be put into actions.
"Geet,now what to do?there are four hours left for the flight.we better discuss about the project".
"Maan Sir,you gave me a holiday remember.Aur waise bhi mujhe Mumbai ghumna hai.i have come here after such a long time."
"okay you go then.i am here only."
"i go alone??"said Geet. she pretends to be afraid,"Maan sir how can you leave me alone?itne bade se city mein an alone girl! if someone attacks me then what will i do?"
"Okay...okay drama band karo.i am coming along."
They visited a lot of places like Gateway Of India,Marine Drive,beaches.Maan couldn't take his eyes off Geet.She was so energetic and lively even under peer pressure work.He himself had gone around the world for business trips but he did not enjoy so much ever before.He breathed in the fresh air ,relaxed himself.He felt like a free bird.His eyes shined,Geet has never seen him like that before,
"Geet,i have admit you know to enjoy life very much.i can't believe that under so much pressure of work,anyone can enjoy so much"
"Sir,there is work but that doesn't mean you lock yuorself in those four walls of office.We must always enjoy the outsids world too.We get only one life and we must live it to the fullest aand make all our dreams com true.i enjoy work but i do not neglect the natural beauties of life."
Maan was amazed.He had never seen a girl like her.She was natural,yet sopisticated.She was simple,yet unique.he was losing control over himself...
Just then Geet saw a chat stall nearby.
"Sir,chaleye na.i want to have paani puri."
"Geet it's unhygenic.you will fall sick."
"Aap bhi na,chaddo! atleast accompany me."
At the Chat Stall-
"bhaiyyaji,give us two plates of paani-puri and sev-puri each."
"Kitna khaogi Geet!"said Maan awed.
"Oh hello! you are gonna have 1 plate.and i don't want to hear anything against my chatt."
The air blew swiftly.Geet hair came on her face.Maan caressed her face and put her hair behind her ears.Geet looked at him,he smiled.
He started eating his sev-puri without any arguing.Geet just kept looking at him as he ate.She felt that it was her dream.In her college days,she had always dreamt,visualized having chatt with him and that it actually came true.Today was no working day,so had they spent the entire day spending time with each other?
Was she falling for him again?One by one all her wishes were turning into reality,She had also visualized Maan confessing his love to her,Will that ever come true...??
It was nearing evening
"Geet,i was thinking ki ab yaha aa hi gaye hai toh college ho kar aate hai."
Geet agreed.
College-
Geet felt that life had taken a reverse gear.It was the same place where she for the first time had fallen for Maan.How she was going so crazy for him.And most interestingly, she was now walking with him here in the same college.
They met the principal who was only to happy to receive them.He granted them Geet's request of seeing their classroom as the students had left.
They arrived at the corridoor of their class.she stared at it nostalgically,
"This was the place eight years ago where we spoke to each other for the first time."said Maan looking at her
"You remember?".
"Ofcourse,who can forget that 'corridoor' conversation.By the way,the corridoors were indeed nice.i checked them after you had gone."
They both laughed at that incident.
Then they went inside.Geet was pale with sadness as it was the same classroom where her heart was broken.Maan sensed this and he was quick to reply.
"Geet,i am very sorry.i had spoken to you very rudely that day.Mujhe maaf ka do..."
"Maafi toh mujhe mangni chahiye.You didn't want us to become friends but i used to forcefully talk to you. " she said sadly
"I was wrong that we had seperate ways" taking her hands into his he said to her,"Kise pata tha that you will become such an important part of my life."
They both had an eyelock.
Maan locked the door of the room.
"Sir,what are you doing?why are you locking the door?"
"Don't call me Sir! samjhi tum! call me Maan,only Maan." he said as he advanced towards her.
"Y-eh aap kya kar rahein hain?" she said as she took steps backward.She suddenly felt the wall behind her.Maan pinned her to the wall.She could feel his hot breath on her face.Maan came so closer...so closer...to her that a kiss was possible.He ran his hands accross her waist,her hands,her shoulders.Geet could feel him in every part of her being.She did not protest.She didn't want to.she just kept staring at him.His eyes had magic.They controlled her,His fingers reached her eyes,her cheeks,her lips,her chin...Finally he said.
"Kaho na Geet,what you wanted to say that day."
"I d-don't know what you are saying."
"You know it very well.You loved me right?tell me Geet "
Geet remained silent.she kept looking at him.How did he come to know?
"Meera,did not tell me.i can see it in your eyes that you still love me,"
"I don't! you are mistaken"
He paused.he was shaken.
"But you had loved me that time.hadn't you?.You drank at the party when you saw me with those girls,didn't you?" he caressed her lovingly
"usse kya pharak padta hai,you hated me.and you still don't believe in love.So what's the point of wasting yours and my time." she tried to remain stiff
Maan released her.He moved a step backward.
"You want to know why i hate love.why i don't believe in feeling and emotions because they are fake!they tend to hurt you!" Geet could see the pain in his eyes as he continued angrily,"My father loved my mom dearly.it is due to this love that had seperated me from him after her death.My mom was gone forever and my dad stayed miles away from me and my family.He just educated me so that i could handle KC.He doesn't care in what state i am.My brother accepted our fate and he learned to cope up with it.But i?i cried to see him,still he did not come..."
"Maan..." her eyes became moist.
"Love is my biggest weekness.i tried not to think about it so i made myself completely engaged in work just as he did.My dadi was fearing that i was also becoming like him.She didn't want to lose me.So that's why when she came to know about you,she thinks that I have come out of my trauma.i poured my heart out to you Because I-"
He stopped.he couldn't say anymore.he quietly walked out of the room.
Geet got to know the dark truth of Maan.He didn't want to attach himself with any one fearing that he would lose them.
"Maan i will help you.You have to believe in feelings,emotions.You have to believe in Love because i have fallen in love with you again...and this time i will not let you go.I cannot afford to lose you because you are MINE!only mine." she confessed to herself...
They had nothing to talk on the flight.They sat as strangers.Maan sat sulking and angry.Geet tried to console him.
"Maan...Sir...please be calm.Remember those wonderful moments that you shared with him.i am sure everything will be fine."
"No Geet,jo dus saalon se nahi hua,woh abhi kaise ho sakta hai.Anyways,it's my problem.You don't have to take any tension..."
