"when you can't live without Geet for a single second,why have you given her a holiday?" said Meera as she made her way into Maan's cabin, "I have given you this file to check twenty mins ago,file waise ka waisa hi pada hai,dhyaan kaha hai tumhara?"
"No,Meera,there nothing like that.kaho kya kehna hai tumhe?"
"What i say? jabse Geet aayi hai,tum toh jaise mujhe bhool hi chuke ho" she said teasingly.
"Chalo,i will take you on a date,office ke terrace par."
"What rotten luck! MSK ke saath date, office ke terrace par! fine atleast pucha toh! "
At the Terrace-
"What!" Meera exclaimed with a surprise,"you asked her whether she liked you or not and she refused!Wow man! she is the first girl ever to refuse you."

"What serious?why don't you admit that you have begin to love her?"

"Ha Ha! Very funny! than why did you ask her in the first place?"

"I would-" he paused,"i don't love her, i don't,i don't,i don't!"he tried to say this to himself but his mind and heart opposed him.
"You love her,you can never lie Maan.i understood the day after the party.Look,it's true that she loved you like anything in those days.she was crazy for you man! she almost forgot that a soul called Meera exists in the world like you do now! " she pretends to be sad,"Maan ,kya meri kismat mein neglect hona hi likha hai?first she used to and now you! hei babaji-"
"okay okay...don't start melo drama again! i understood your point.But I-"
"Look Maan,regardless of what has happened with you,you must move on.The person whom you love will never ever leave you alone.You cannot lock your heart and put it in the cage.Your heart and mind has chosen Geet as your life partner,you must abide by that.Now everything is in your hand.either you can convert this fake engagement into a real one which will bring happiness to you and all lives connected to you or either you can destroy you life and everyone's."
Maan went.He did not say anything.His mind was full of ups and downs.Does he really love Geet?Yes,you do! came the answer from his heart.
"Maan,i just wanna say that Geet is happiness for you.You have to understand that."said Meera as he was leaving,
"so fake engagement ha?"thought Sameera as she heard their entire conversation,"now Geet! just wait and watch!" she said with a smirk.
Geet's House-
when Geet woke up that day in the morning,the first thought was again of Maan.But things were different now.She loved him now,it was not an infatuation.She remembered how he had been so close to her.She just wanted to kiss him.She blushed.But then she also remembered what he had said after that.
"Kuch toh karna hi padhega.Dadima was telling that Maan's dad is in Delhi these days.ThankGod that i have a holiday.I can have a talk with Mr Khurana.Maan Sir ko pata chal gaya,toh he will be very angry.I want to become your real fiance Maan and i promise to bring you all the Happiness that you deserve."
said Geet to herself.
She went to KM but she was informed that Maan's dad was not in the Mansion,he had gone out.She was dejected.
Walking down the road.Geet saw a garden.she decided to sit there and wait for Mr Khurana.She thought,"Lekin maine toh unhe kabhi nahi dekha,how will i recognise him?."
"What happened beta,you look sad."
She looked up to see an elderly man in his mid-fifties sitting besides her.
"Nothing uncle...i am fine."
"Sometimes when you pour your mind out to strangers,toh dil halka ho jata hai."
"Uncle,Life is so queer na?"
"Why do you say that?"
"It is just that for most of the people love is everything.Love is their greatest strenght,their greatest joy but for some people it is the greatest curse.Their whole life is in a nutshell.They refuse to see or believe love which surrounds and even if they see it,there is fear of losing the feeling forever."
"H-have you e-experienced it?"
" i know a person who is very close to my heart who is going throught it from the past ten years.You know he is very successful.He had all the luxuries and comforts anyone can ask for.But he was deprived of care amd attention in his initial years due is which his whole life has become dark..His mom died and his dad stayed away from him just because he used to remind him of his wife.Ab aap hi bataye isme Maan ki kya galti hai?"
"Maan??" he looked startled.
"Yes Maan,koi father itna selfish kaise ho sakta hai,jo bete ki taraf ek baar bhi mudkar na deke just because he remembers his dead wife seeing with him.If Maan's mom would have been here,she would have been very sad, and she would hold herself responsible for Maan's fate. "
The old man sat still.He did not respond.
Wiping her tears Geet said,"Anyways,thanx for hearing me out uncle.i just hope Maan gets his Dad back.i go now..."
"Maan..." he moved away silently.
Khurana Mansion :
"Nakul, did Geet come here?"
"Yes Maan saab,she was asking for Mr Khurana."
"Why would Geet ask for dad?" thought Maan
Just when he was about to go,a voice called him from behind,"Maan..."
His dad called out to him.Maan was about to leave when he stopped him.

"Wow! how did you get time to talk to me?let me guess. Ah yes...about Khurana Constructions.There is no need to worry your company is scaling great heights than it had ever had"

"oh My! aisi kya aafat aa padi jo aapko mujhse baat karni padi"
"Ek baar hamari baat sun lo beta,phir chahe jo kehna.i will not stop you." he took a deep breath."Dekho beta,i know that i have committed a big mistake for which i don't deserve forgiveness.i don't know why i behaved with you like this,i knew that it was very wrong...i don't know how...i don't know how"
his voice was heavy,his eyes was moist,"i am very selfish...i just thought about myself,about my pain,but was never concerned about you and you know what! I deserve your hatred.in all these years,i have give you pain,But even if one inch you think that i am guilty,then please forgive me son" he joined his hands and tears rolled out.
"I-"
"look beta,i will be frank.If that girl hadn't made me feel that i was wrong.i would have not understood at all.The way she spoke to me made me actually feel your pain Maan."
"Which girl?"
"I don't know who she was but you must be knowing her very well because she loves you very much.She could not see you in pain.she was determined to relieve you."
"Geet..." he said slowly under his breath and left...
